It is evident that Carole has a deep love for God and His Word. She talks about her own life and how God lead her to trust in Him for all things. She highlights the value of daily Bible study, Scripture memory, prayer, and thankfulness.

This book was given to me 43 years ago by a family friend as a reminder of our time together at Glen Eyrie in July 1977 where Tom and I got engaged. I read it back then and decided to reread it now. Even though it is dated, the timeless truth remains: A healthy ❤️ is one surrendered to God and seeks Him daily.

It has probably been 13 years since a lady ( in her 70's) whom I heard speak gave me this book. I greatly admired her and soaked in how she talked about the Lord at a conferenceI went to. I wrote her after hearing her speak twice and asked her advice on how she managed such a close walk with God and having kids. She sent me a sweet letter back and two books. Two pretty dated looking books. I'm ashamed to say I didn't pick up this book because of its cover. While I love reading, I had 2 toddlers and was pregnant so a book really had to call to me to pick it up. This one did NOT. While I greatly admired the woman, her advice in her letter of waking up at 3AM to meet with Jesus every morning and going to bed at 8:30Pm just didnt fit my life at the time and it discouraged me....so I never bothered to read the book. BUT until I read it I could never bring myself to get rid of it. Goodness. I'm so glad I didn't. I decided to read it this past month so I could get it off myself since it was such a short book. I am SO glad I did. Super short, easy to read chapters...but they are filled with such practical advice for walking the Christian life. The author comes across so humble and real, but encouraging. It would make a great discipleship book for a new Christian. I have been a Christian for almost 35 years and I learned things I look forward putting into practice. Simple, but so good.

Although this is very dated, it is actually very meaningful and thoughtful with insight into discipleship. Solid biblical advice.
