With some question of the meaning of "innocent", 40 paintings are presented, with short statement related to each one. Shown on individual pages, available for separation, if desired.
This 1974 work suffers from a patronizing tone and a sort of Rousseauian fetishization of the untrained artist. That said, it selects a bunch of works in the field that aren't commonly included in overviews, and the reproductions are clear, so if you care about outsider/naive/etc. art, you may want to pick it up regardless. Just be aware that the prose comes off as really dated.
