After graduating from the University of Melbourne, Michelle Conder took a variety of jobs before packing her bags and traveling and working overseas. When none of the career opportunities she encountered grabbed her she returned to Australia and after more study decided to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a writer.
Michelle now lives in Melbourne with her husband and three children and when she isn’t writing loves to visit faraway places and spend time with her family and friends.
The love scene happened towards the end of the book plus no epilogue with babies. A disappointment. Hero was sexy though. Safety info: heroine not a virgin, experienced hero, no drama, no cheating.
there were a lot of little issues with this book; like it seemed like it was written to be set in the UK, but then it was set in the US and a lot of the terms etc just were wrong. Then there was the Japanese/Korean mix ...
but otherwise - I liked this HP. There were a bit of the ugh/too much/naive/"girl where is your brain" shit that sadly so many/too many HPs have...
BUT OTHERWISE - Logan and Cassidy DID communicate a lot. And a lot of stuff that happened; I mean if you suspend disbelief for the grandeur etc of it - was believable.
(Maybe not so much why a country on the Mediterranean that had been ruled by the Spanish for like ~centuries JUST SO HAPPENED to speak English?) - but whatever. You know - more suspension of disbelief. (Although I had some trouble/major eyeroll at Cassidy not knowing what "mi amor" means. Like ... you've been working for dude for how long? And also ... you went to Columbia? And have been living in NY? There ... I mean it's a pretty multicultural place unless you TRY to be oblivious?
I've never been a resident there and I don't speak Spanish but I know ...
BUT ANYWAY. I liked that it was slow burn in a way - they have the established work relationship but it was never more until that "switch" flips. But it works for them. And Cassidy's family - like it wasn't all static villainous stuff.
So I'd definitely read more by Michelle Condor. And I had a big smile on my face upon finishing it. I liked the resolution - liked both the characters families etc, and Logan's gesture.

Prince Logan must assume his royal duties when his brother abdicates, but he doesn't want to do it without his trusty assistant Cassidy at his side keeping his diary and his life straight. Her previous life comes to light when the Prince and she are caught kissing and they splash all her information on the front page of the papers. She is embarrassed and doesn't give Logan time to clean up the mess and goes home to her sister and nieces. It is a fun story and I enjoyed it and will probably read further down the road.
I felt that the book was rushed at the end. But I did enjoy the book. And I really appreciate that fact that it did not have so much sex that it missed the story line.
Workplace romance with a big boss turned prince and his assistant from a struggling family who comes along and evolves into his princess. Communication was good, though the romance was slow. Media scandal speeds up the inevitable but heroine can be a bit flaky. Good standalone Harlequin royalty romance which is just the palette cleanser I was looking for.
