Hard pass. Hero apparently has always wanted the heroine but in book 1 he fucks his best friends fiancé. How can I believe he ever cares about her when the heroine has been in his life for years and he didn’t pursue her and slept with his best friends fiancé???

Georgia Moon is the second book in the It’s All in the Whiskey series and it can be read as a standalone, but I strongly recommend reading the first book in the series, Johnnie Walker before this one. A few events/situations are referenced over the course of Georgia Moon that relate to book one and though they are explained well enough to understand, the flow of the story would be even better with the complete knowledge and understanding of the situations and the backgrounds of the characters ...more

In the first book of this series we saw JW get betrayed by his best friend Luke, at that point we don't know the reasoning behind it all but it was a pretty rotten thing for a friend to do. Luke also ends up selling his ranch to JW and then moving to Florida to help his sister and her child.

In this book JW and Kitty are getting married, Robert Preston is on trial, and a serial killer who was responsible for Georgia Moon's friend death is being executed. What is a surprise is that Luke has a

Luke Hannah sold his ranch to the Whiskey family and left town. He returns, for the wedding of his best friend JW, knowing that he can’t avoid Georgia Moon. She is the only woman he has ever loved, but he has secrets that have kept him from declaring his love. Georgia has always wanted Luke and decides it is time to force the issue, not knowing that what Luke may reveal could tear them apart forever. Luke did what he needed to do both years ago and before he left town to protect his younger ...more

While technically a standalone (and context is clearly explained), you’ll get a lot more out of this book if you’ve read the first in the series, Johnnie Walker (JW)’s story. There’s a lot for Georgia to forgive in this story, and some of it is difficult to look past. Reading it, though, we’re offered insight into Luke’s history, his childhood, and his need to protect his sister at all costs. And it’s that that makes it possible for Georgia to come to terms with his history with JW in ...more

4.5 stars ***** what would you do and how far would you go to protect someone you love? Luke has too much going on with his life, from an evil father to an unscrupulous business associate out to ruin everyone. Georgia Moon is his only love and she gets her heart broken when she gets caught up in his tragic situations. Make it easy on yourself and just rip your heart out and grab some tissues. Some heart wrenching situations, shared love and some hefty secrets. Luke is so burdened with everyone ...more

While this book can be read as a stand alone story do yourself a favour and read Johnny Walker first It will give you far more insight into Luke the Hero of this story.

Luke had to make a hard decision and in the process his BF her brother and family where hurt but he did it for all the right reasons. Now Georgia Moon Whiskey's family has bought Luke's property and she has moved into his old home even into the master bedroom hoping to forget the one man she has always loved. When Luke returns for

I didn't ready book 1 yet and while there are some things in this one that don't make sense because they are in book 1 it can still be read as a standalone.. With that said.. HOLY MOLY This story is heartwrenching and full of love all at the same time..

Georgia has loved Luke for awhile but would never tell him and he when he helped try and ruin her brother (book 1) she knew she couldn't have anything with him.. Luke loves Georgia but his past has ruined any chance he could ever have. And its

I recieved this ARC for an honest review.
Wow this was an emotional read.
Its book of 2nd chance. After Luke commits a bitter betrayal on his best friend and her family. He moves away. But after everything comes to light. He is shown in a different light especially by his bf sister Georgia. But he has managed to hide the biggest secret of all one that will put everyone and everything in jeopardy. Can Georgia every forgave him when she finds out.
This a raw look at the other side of the coin a point

Jen wrote another great book with suspense and all that goes with it. It's so sad what one person would do to protect his family. The lies Luck had to live with. Destroying his friend and the horrors his father had done when he was 10 years old. He's always loved Georgia Moon but if she ever found out about his life, she'd never forgive him. This story was hard to read as far as what Luke's father did and how he's tried to protect his sister and her son from anyone know what their true names ...more

Georgia isn't ready to face Luke after everything went down between him and her brother but she knew she couldn't hide from him forever. This is all about attraction that was never acted on before and now when they finally do its when emotions are heightened by the court case against the man that tried to ruin her family and Luke as well as the execution of the man that killed Georgia's best friend. There is passion, anger, betrayal, heartbreak and hope to draw you in and keep you turning the ...more

Georgia Moon and Luke! Luke is certainly a complex hero, but it's pretty easy to see his motivation for the negative things he does is to protect those he loves. I did like their relationship and enjoyed the slow build aspect. I do wish I had re-read book 1 to refresh my memory a bit -- I was absolutely able to follow the story, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I was less fuzzy on some of the earlier details. Still very enjoyable. 4.5 stars!

A wonderful story full of raw emotions, trust issues, secrets, and love. This is the second story in the series and is a stand-alone. I recommend reading the first book to get some of the backstory. Georgia Moon and Luke have great chemistry, but will secrets destroy what happiness they have. I enjoyed this book and the series. Looking forward to the next one.

I did not read the 1st book (and probably should have) but still thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt so bad for the H and his sister and what they had survived. He was far from perfect but sincerely wanted to make up for his mistakes. The h was, fortunately, as strong as he was and eventually they saved each other.

Was really looking forward to this book and was good, omg who could live through all that. Things were spoken of that happened in the previous book but it jumped into a trial that hadn’t been explained. Was okay but not as good as the first and too many things nit explained.

Captivated Me

Jen Talty has captivated me with a beautifully written masterpiece. Georgia Moon captivated and enthralled me. Falling in love and getting a second chance is beautiful, nothing is better. Hands down my new favorite book.

A great read!!

This was a terrible topic to deal with, but Jen Talty wrote a beautiful story about it. Child abduction and murder is awful, but what it does to the families involved is worse. This is a lesson in forgiveness and understanding.

This is a fun series.
In this one, you have 2 people who have had a thing for each other for quite some time. He has made some major screw ups but he believes he is doing one now for his family. Can she forgive him?
