She names an impossible price…

August Wolf is back home on his family’s Texas ranch for good this time, and he has a lot to prove. He’s taken his inherited portion of the ranch as far from the family’s famed longhorn legacy as possible, but a devastating accident throws his plans and his life in jeopardy. August doesn’t have the word ‘quit’ in his vocabulary even when he ha

A quote (from ARC):
“When she was in his arms, he’d always felt more masculine, protective because she was so small.”
A story about second-chances set in a winemaking ranch/enterprise in Last Stand, “A Bride for the Texas Cowboy”, by Sinclair Jayne (Tule Publishing) also tackles themes of rivalries and feuds between lovers’ families and siblings’ antagonism.
I felt a bit detached from August and Cat’s characters and plights.

I had read and thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series, A Son for the Texas Cowboy so was keen to read this sequel to it. The first book concentrates on Axel and Cruz’s story whilst this one is focussed on the third/fourth chance romance between Axel’s brother, August, and Catalina. They grew up on neighbouring properties but Catalina often escaped her abusive father and bullying brothers by spending time with August and his family. The two have a long term on/off relationship that has ...more

A BRIDE FOR THE TEXAS COWBOY is the second story in The Texas Wolf Brothers series. While August’s and Cat’s story could be read on its own, I would strongly suggest reading this series in the Last Stand, Texas connecting set of series in order. There is background, almost a parallel timeframe to the stories in this series and I believe you’ll follow easier if you’ve read A SON FOR THE TEXAS COWBOY first. That’s my personal opinion, you do what works for you.

I opted to accept an ARC of this book based on the description, even though I knew it was the second book in a series I haven’t read. In fact, this is a new-to-me author. I’m going to try my hardest to review this book on the story and writing, not on the fact that it was a mistake for me to try to read this as a standalone. In fact, it seems that the first book of this series runs parallel with this story and they weave in and out of each other. It was obvious I was missing some key ba

I was given this arc to read in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the Wolf Brothers series by Sinclair Jayne. The book takes place in Last Stand Texas. I just loved this book. It took place at the same time as book one, but while that was Axel and Cruz’s story, this was August and Catalina’s story.

We had learned there was the big accident where a wine tour bus crashed into a truck and was pushed through the window of August Wolf's wine tasting room. August was injured bu

A Bride for the Texas Cowboy is the second Texas Wolf Brothers book by Sinclair Jayne. The Wolf men have complicated family relationship that spill into their romantic ones, too. I find this to make the book compelling, hard to stop reading. Just like the first this is an emotional, intense read. It parallels the first book starting with the tragic accident. Even though this is August’s story, his big brother Axel has a major influence on it as he does August.

The downtown bus accident in Last St

A Bride For The Texas Cowboy is the second book in Sinclair Jayne’s Texas Wolf Brothers series. Set in the Texas Hill Country, this is the story of middle brother August, who is the family genius. Up until this story begins August has spent his adult life establishing new businesses including the Verflucht winemaking business he is developing on the family ranch in Last Stand. August has a reputation for being flighty, but one thing that has stayed with him over the years is his love for Catalin ...more

This is the second book in the Texas Wolf Brothers series and YES you really need to read the first book, A Son for the Texas Cowboy to understand all the things that have happened and are mentioned in this book. Last Stand, TX has quickly become one of my favorite fictional towns and I do love reading books based there. August Wolf is the brainy brother. The child that tested gifted and because he did the family allowed him to do science fairs and STEM and pretty much kept him out of the farm l ...more

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. This book is about August and Cat. This is their second chance at love. I have to say that I wished that I had read the first book in this series first because in some parts of the book it felt like something was missing. It honestly did not take away from the story line. I love August and Cat together. I thought that they made a perfect match. Reading their story made me realize that sometimes love is not perfect bu ...more

A second chance (or is it a 3rd chance) at love romance. First book for me by this author and I found I really liked it. Love isn't always perfect, people make mistakes, regrets are hard and sometimes your family can be crappy people. August and Cat were perfect match. Despite many obstacles they always seems to find their way back to each other. Will this be the last time trying or can they finally make it? Can't wait to read more from this author. An impossible hurdle. It’s very difficult to overcome people’s opinions. Especially when you deserve them. Turning over a new leaf is very tough anyway let alone when you’re fighting by yourself. Then asking your ex for help... crazy. This begins the story of August trying to scale a mountain of doubt and troubles. Then Catalina enters the scene. She may be his ex but he needs her. What follows is tons of drama and opposition.

Catalina has no problem getting a job but she has a way of saying what she thinks no matter what, so sometimes she has problems keeping the job.

Catalina is in her friends wedding when she gets a call from August, he tells her is hurt and needs her. Despite the past and what her mind keeps telling her she should do, she follows her heart and goes to him. He has hurt her in the past and she is afraid he will do it again.

A really good book that we all can relate to because we have been there oursel

A Bride for the Texas Cowboy by Sinclair Jayne is book number two in the Texas Wolf Brothers series. This is August Wolf and Catalina “Cat” Clemmens’ story.

When Cat and August get together the chemistry between them is hot. Their interactions were entertaining and fun. Can they move on from the hurts in the past and take a chance on true love and happiness? I enjoyed both characters and their story.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A Bride for the Texas Cowboy is the second in Sinclair Jayne's The Texas Wolf Brothers. I would recommend reading the first before picking this one up to read. In this second Wolf brother book, we get a second chance romance that will have you wondering just how August and Cat will get their HEA. At times I was wondering if it was ever going to happen. Add in family history and drama, and it definitely is a trial to their HEA.

I love this series, only wish I had been able to read them back to back instead of so far apart. It was neat how we got so much more of Axel and Cruz’s story while August and Catalina were busy trying to make there second chance work.
Lots of family stuff, the fights and jealousy and oh when the secrets come out, I had not guessed. And all the angst pulled me right to the epilogue which left me all heart warmed and happy.
Received an early copy of this book for my review.

Past meets future in this often tense story of love rekindling but with a ton of baggage that requires unpacking. It has great writing, evoking the deep feelings of the characters.

I read the first book in the series and loved it a lot. That is where I met August and Cat and why I was so interested in reading the next book in the series. It was pretty great. I LOVED Kat so much. She comes calling when her old friend and lover calls her for help when he gets injured in a accident at his new winery.

August is kinda a jerk and he is the reason for his issues with Kat. That said he does defend her against her family and brother and he wants to marry her and get her to forgive h

I really loved this book. A second chance romance...or rather third for Cat and August. I hadn’t read the first book so I didn’t know much of the back story that continued through this but it was still easy to follow along and I didn’t feel like I was missing huge gaps but I now definitely want to go back read the first book. I love how these two very flawed people find love and support in each other and I like that it was a journey to get there.

Sinclair has loved reading romance novels since she discovered Barbara Cartland historical romances when she was in sixth grade. By seventh grade, she was haunting the library shelves looking to fall in love over and over again with the heroes born from the imaginations of her favorite authors. After teaching writing classes and workshops to adults and teens for many years in Seattle and Portland, ...more
