I recieved this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book its 3.5 stars. I liked this book very much buuuut not as the first book. Bingmei is one of my female characters of all time and in this book she surprised me a lot!

Its very dificult to talk about this because spoilers but in this part all the characters are awesome! all of them grew a lot and have many personal issues that are dificult to resolve. All this world is amazing in all things, in kingdoms, characters,

I just love every book I've read by Jeff Wheeler - and the Buried World is a more than worthy continuation of his Grave Kingdom series. Excellent characters, excellent story and world building, and a touch of magic - it's all there. This series is quite different from his Kingfountain series, as it is based more on Chinese fantasy or fairy tales. But the usual foundation is there - a brave and honorable young girl doing her best to save her world, and I am completely enjoying the story of ...more

Another great addition to the Jeff Wheeler world. Really enjoyed this novel. Lots of excitement, intrigue, and adventure. I think like many series, and I say this a lot, this was a middle book in the series and had its slow moments and some unnecessary items. That seems to be very common and I dont hold it against anyone because you have to have the bridge books. But I think overall still a great book

Thank you to 47North and Jeff Wheeler for providing me with an advanced reading copy.

Another 5-star read from Jeff Wheeler. This newest series has quickly joined his other works on my "favorites" shelf. I love how different this series is from the rest, too! Bingmei's story is captivating, and I cannot wait to see where it goes in the next book. Thanks to NetGalley for the review copy.

Rounded up to 4.5 Stars.
Oh my goodness I am enjoying reading through this trilogy. In my experience the middle book of a trilogy usually the least exciting, the one you need to read through to get to the exciting conclusion (being the third book).
Not in this case! The Buried World is every bit as good as the first book, The Killing Fog. The action continues and the characterisations develop nicely. And throughout there is Jeff Wheeler's lovely writing. I have become quite a fan of his

This review is for the first two in this series. These are solid fantasy tales told with a nice style and lots of good imagination. The author has been around a while and knows how to tell a good story with well formed characters, an engaging plot, and some nice surprises. I'm not a huge fantasy fan, but this worked for me.

Thanks very much for the ARC for review!!

Jeff Wheeler has quickly become my favorite author. He has so many unique yet wonderfully detailed worlds and stories. He does not let me down in the second installment of the Grave Kingdom series. This books just pulls me in to where I cannot stop reading. I loved every second and cannot wait for book 3.

More Bingmei! Hurrah!
I was so lucky to be able to request both of these (the first and this) books on Netgalley.
Because as soon as I finished The Killing Fog, I immediately started reading this - and I was happily again lost for a good five hours in Bingmei's world as she battles Echion and her own Destiny (with a capital D!)
Seriously, I feel these books have very few, if any flaws. They're engaging, exciting, and full of Chinese inspired fantasy (and that extends to the names and places, which

Jeff took an early retirement from his career at Intel in 2014 to become a full-time author. He is, most importantly, a husband and father, a devout member of his church, and is occasionally spotted roaming hills with oak trees and granite boulders in California or in any number of the state's majestic redwood groves. He is also one of the founders of Deep Magic: the E-zine of Clean Fantasy and ...more
