I was lucky enough read an early version of this book, and it’s so so good! An excellent premise with characters that I missed as soon as I finished the book. The dialogue is flawless and the love story is brilliantly believable and engaging. Ciara Smyth writes dialogue so perfectly that I was fully immersed in Saoirse’s world almost immediately. An awesome rom-com story with deep characters and relationships.
I absolutely loved this book. Such a clever concept so brilliantly executed. Funny and moving in equal measure, The Falling in Love Montage is a love story which takes all the rom com cliches and makes them new. A great debut. Can’t wait to see what comes next.
This is the stuff of f/f rom-com dreams! Full of charm, wit and heart, with a very funny and relatable heroine in Saoirse and a likeable love interest in Ruby. In addition to the romance (which was sweet and did all the 80s/90s movies referenced proud), Saoirse's complicated family situation was interesting, sensitively handled and truly heartbreaking at points. I also loved her frenemiship (that's a word) with Ruby's cousin, Oliver. Overall a great read and a very accomplished debut.
