Get ready for a fun and fabulous series. J. Sterling is bringing baseball back and the first book in the series is a home run. I adored Cole Anders and Christina Travers. Great chemistry, awkward moments, lots of fun and of course college drama.
I enjoyed how Sterling wrote these characters-- 21 yr old's who might think they know a thing or two about relationships but have so much to learn. I love that Sterling did not over- romanticize 21 yr old college relationships. She made it fun. She made

TOP FAVORITE READ OF 2020!!! Everything Jenn writes is pure gold and this book is no exception. Ive waited 6 years for this series to become a thing after that tease of Chance at the end of the perfect game series and let me tell you...Jenn hit it out of the park with this one!! This series will give you old school Perfect Game feels with the drama, angst, humor and an amazing love story thrown in. The Ninth Inning

J Sterling is one of my OG authors that I will always come back to. She started my love for sports romance and when I saw she was going back to baseball, I could not be more excited. And she did not let her readers down!!

The Ninth Inning starts off her newest series, The Boys of Baseball and she smacks this one out of the park (yes, I had to be corny and throw in some baseball analogies). LOL

The Ninth Inning introduces us to the few fellows who these books will be about, but this book

Baseball romance? Yes! Baseball romance by J Sterling? Hell to the Yes!!!!

Cole Anders is running out of time, he needs in on the baseball draft, and he needs to get serious. Since freshman year, he's always had the solid, constant, non girlfriend but steady friend and hookup in Christina. The potential of their relationship was always there, but Cole, never wanted a relationship. What worked before doesn't work anymore. He's separated himself from her for while, focusing on baseball, so he

I've been looking forward to this new baseball series from J. Sterling and she didn't disappoint. Cole and Christina separately were both trying to make their way through college both in their senior year, but together they were firecrackers. They had an interesting relationship all throughout college, eventually Cole told her to stay away, baseball was more important, the most important. Christina had a hard time getting over a relationship that never had a title. One night at the baseball ...more

This books breaks all the stereotypes. Cole is a rising baseball star fighting to find his place. Christina isnt your typical college girl that is just going to wait around but you know love has its own plan.

This book took me by such a surprise, it was heartbreaking at times because you could almost be there in the moments with Cole and Christina, they are that relatable and then they are moments where, for me, she takes all you think you know about college jocks and blows your mind. This is

I dont think you can hear the name J Sterling and not think of baseball (Thank you, Jack Carter). Sterling has revisited her roots with The Ninth Inning, and did it in the best possible way. Cole and Christinas story was such an honest, pure, angsty, and sweet romance that Sterling hit right out of the park! This book is the just the start of what I already know will be an amazing series, and I cant wait for the next book! ...more

    J. Sterling never disappoints with her baseball romances! The Ninth Inning was everything I hoped for and more. Truly, everything I want in a sports romance! There is plenty of romance, angst, and college drama plus baseball. Whats not to love?!

Seriously, go read this book! Go fall in love with Cole Anders and Christina Travers, because
trust me when I say, there will be lots of falling going on when youre devouring this book. I cant wait for The Boys of Baseball #2!!

ARC received for an honest review

When The Ninth Inning turned up on my Kindle, there was a squee of joy that emerged from my mouth

And then I started singing to the tune of Justin Timberlake "she's bringing baseball back".

I was obsessed with Jack F'n Carter for the longest time, and finding out we were heading back to Fullton State had me so, so, excited. Seeing the next generation come through is going to be so much fun.

Its been a hot minute since Ive read a J. Sterling book. I loved her Fisher Brothers Series, so I was all about this. J has always had a perfect balance of angst and humor that interlace throughout her books effortlessly and this book is no different. I loved Cole and Christina their connection was evident and intrinsic. From the opening chapter you could feel it burst from the pages and set the tone for a beautifully written romance.

What's better than baseball? Seriously, the baseball trope is at the top of my list when it comes to a sports romance. I am almost positive I have not read anything from this author, but I was shocked by how much this author based the book around the actual sport, most authors don't do that. I was also glad to see that this author didn't base her characters off fantasy. Don't get me wrong, the Hero was an alpha when it came down to it, but he actually fit the profile of a real human.

Sports romances are some of my favorite genres, and The Ninth Inning was definitely a grand slam, and yeah I went there *wink* It gave me all the things I crave in a sports romance, and especially one of my fave sports, baseball. Cole and Christinas story hooked me right from the start, I was consumed and I couldnt read fast enough.

Ok so I did like this book...I liked the storyline, I liked the love story, I liked the characters and maybe I liked it all so much because it was so similar to the authors other series The Perfect Game.

The storyline is about a up and coming baseball player in college whose main focus is baseball. Nothing is going to derail Cole and his beeline for the big leagues. There has been a girl Christina, who he has hooked up with off an on over the last few years and he feels a connection with but has

When a girl liked a guy, we simply wanted him to like us back. And we had a hard time believing that he didnt or that we couldnt change his mind. - Christina Travers

Cole and Christina are the epitome of college and relationship dramas and miscommunications. Cole is focused on baseball and doesnt think there is room in his life for more. Christina is done being pushed aside when it comes to Coles focus on baseball. One-night changes the course of things for both of them, and Cole decides that he

I enjoy Sterlings stories. I love baseball, I grew up on a softball diamond and when I wasnt there, I was at the baseball diamond with my brother. So, I fully expected to love The Ninth Inning, but I didnt. I didnt fall into the story what so ever. J. Sterling is back with another amazing baseball story. Cole and Christina were such wonderful characters. The secondary characters were awesome as well and it just makes you love the story so much more.

Cole and Christina had a rocky relationship. Cole thought the only thing he should focus on was his baseball career. Not thinking having Christina by his side would make him better, he thought she would be a distraction from what was most important. But his play suffered and it took him a while

Let me start by saying that Im a huge fan of anything J. Sterling writes. I fell in love with her when I read The Perfect Game series and Ive gobbled up everything shes written since then. I love J. Sterling's sports romances. This second-generation version is just as good as the first! I love the fight that arises between Christina and Cole. They fight the pull of chemistry, love, and sexual tension that is so obviously linking them together. Christina is a girl that knows the score, but her heart has not followed the rules. Cole is a typical player on and off the field. New experiences, jealousy, and cruel words are tests that they both have to fight, not only apart, but ...more

The Ninth Inning by J. Sterling is book one in her The Boys of Baseball Series.
This is Cole and Christina's story.
Cole needs to be drafted, bad. He never wanted a serious relationship. Christina is his , hmm lets call it distraction , nothing serious ; but now he doesn't need distractions either.
Christina has enough of being pushed aside by Cole. She's moving on. But easier said then done.

    WELCOME BACK TO FULTON STATE!!!
Let me start by saying this series is going to blow fans away. **spoiler free review** Baseball is still the number sport at Fulton state. I loved Cole Anders. He swooned me though out the whole book. I loved some much about him. He wasn't overly cocky, just cocky enough. They have been off again and on again throughout college and now in their last year Cole is starts to understand what is really important.
