different setting than the other works by author. and rather more grim/serious. still, fun read. (but not so much as to get 4 stars)

Really fun read, but I didn't like the male protagonist too much. Yes, there are reasons for his high-handed behaviour, but still... Really fun still, with lots of suspense.
