Cath:
Bloody typical. Day one at the new job, and I’m crushing so hard on my colleague I can’t think straight.
John isn’t your average romance novel hero. He doesn’t have a way with the ladies, neither does he have six pack abs. He’s just a regular guy with a bit of a dad bod, and he’s shy and awkward rather than suave and charming. That’s cool, because I’m just a regular gi

I can't even write a review I am so upset. I love reading new authors and different types of romantic tropes and in this book, the author not only explored a virgin hero, but also a chubby one at that. This book was going absolutely fabulous for me until 90% when something so unexpected and ridiculous happened that I am actually sick. Why would the author throw that in there? It was completely out of character for the hero and not only that but it made no sense to the story. We already knew the ...more

Sweet and sexy office romance between virgin H and h who pursues him.
What I found different were that the characters were imperfect and still very likeable. The H was a CHUBBY H who had self esteem issues and the h still found him desirable. I have read a lot of chubby aka curvy aka big aka BBW aka fat h's in romances but never really many H's who were imperfect - some were scarred or disabled due to accidents or war etc. but very few were born disabled. I have read two short H's - one who I ab

DNF. Just not my cuppa AT ALL. I don't like that he's so upset about his breakup with his ex. And apparently later he (view spoiler) No thank you!

It's always so boring to read the same old love story- the most fortunate guy with all the good looks, and sex-appeal, still thinking himself as unlucky, always falling for the most sexiest girl in the whole universe and they end up being happily ever-after, but Just Another Day at the Office by Hedonist Six promises just the opposite, meaning, two most flawed characters falls for each other. Yeah this book has a very strong message that the author tries to convey to us, flawless looking person ...more

I absolutely LOVED this!

Normally, I don't go for contemporary romance for the following reasons:
- amazingly gorgeous people falling in boring love
- they're too damaged to trust love or to be in a relationship, but they're going to torture us through it anyway
- the guy is always a modern day prince charming, I honestly think they're going overboard and becoming weirdly specific, it can't be long until we see "The Billionaire Dom Jaguar-Shifter Sheik Body-builder's Pregnant Girlfriend" hit the

Recommends it for: anyone who likes real adult relationships portrayed as fiction
I just finished reading a copy of Hedonistic6’s another day at the office. I asked the author if I could read Another Day at the Office in exchange for an honest review. She took the risk of a possible harsh review and sent me a copy. I had no idea what to expect from the author but given the pen name “Hedonistic6” I was hopeful her writing would not be another analogy filled unrealistic portrayal of adult relationships. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was happily surprised the author had to courage ...more

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW. I DO NOT PLAN TO READ THIS.

Bummed out. This sounded good, but unfortunately the hero while drunk, (view spoiler) I believe in forgiveness and all that, just not interested in this kind of upset and drama in my romances.

Self note:

H cheats with a stripper on h. The OW gives gim a blow-job. Also h forgives him...

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Finally a love story based on reality. In a fictional world of fictional romances with perfect men and perfect women, this book is a breath of fresh air. There are no perfect people with perfect lives, perfect bodies or perfect loves. It's fine to enjoy an imaginary wold for a while, but at times it gets tedious and monotonous and Ms. H allows us to realize that it is quite ok to be imperfect and to love and desire someone imperfect.

Loved this book!! The awkward flirting, the nervousness, the uncertainty of their relationship from the beginning to when they get together to when they have to fight for their relationship. This is a book that I can really disappear into and become Cath.

Paunchy male heroes with average incomes rarely happen in romance novels. But when one John Hall happened in 'Just Another Day at the Office', falling in love with this portly guy holding a mid-level management job, is very very possible.

Author Hedonist Six classified her novel as erotica/FFA romance. Oh yeah, there was sex, but they were not overkill. The heady experience from reading their intimate scenes comes from the author's crafty characterization of the two leads. An attractive, aggress

I really liked that it was completely different from the usual "love stories": this is what "true love" is all about!

In Just Another Day at the Office, you won't find the perfect, rich and handsome guy who falls for the damsel in distress, nor that girl who turns out to be the sexiest virgin in the neighborhood/ workplace/ wherever. You get to know real characters, with all the insecurities and issues of real people, you get to und

Just Another Day at the Office by Hedonist Six is a well written book. This is a story of not a billionaire, which is refreshing for a change. This is a workplace romance with angst. I'm not a fan of angsty books, but this wasn't overdone, so it worked. Cath and John's story is an office romance with John being full of angst over a breakup and then misunderstandings make things a little wild. There is plenty of drama, action and sex in this book. This book was previously published in several par ...more

I received this book as a gift from the author. This is not a typical read for me, but it did draw me in. I liked the POV of both Cath and John, its always interesting to hear both point of views on the same circumstances and it evolved the story nicely. I also liked how Cath was attracted to someone who was not in the normal demographic of a male interest. It gives hope that not all people are after the six-pack hunks that are the norm for romance books. I found it very refreshing. All in all, ...more

There was something about this books story that was missing but I cant put my finger on what it was.

If you are looking for a little more realistic love story with characters who are just like us with poor self-confidence and in relationshipswho are not always as simple as it looks like then this is book you should read. Not the usual romance you're used to reading about in books.

I was given a copy from the writer for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's told from the point of view of both the main characters - John and Cath - two coworkers who fall in love while having to deal with a creepy, womanizing boss, gossipy coworkers, and trust issues from past relationships.

I love how John was portrayed as slightly overweight, and Cath accepts (and actually prefers) this type of man. In the real world, everyone isn't supermodel perfect, and it's refreshing to read a book that addresses this.

I really liked the idea of a less than GQ worthy hero, but his emotional problems totally put me off. The fact that he drinks to deal with his problems is just swept under the rug, while it is in fact a big freaking deal.

This novel has very relatable characters that pull at your heartstrings. I enjoyed reading this book although I found it a little juvenile in writing. The characters were great as was the romance. I would read more from Hedonist Six.

if this book wasn't riddled with too many sex scenes it could've been a 4 to 5 star read.
