Pamela McCord continues the adventures of Pekin Dewlap and her friends, Scout and Amber, from their first mystery, The Haunting of Elmwood Manor. These are standalone stories, but the author cleverly gives glimpses back at the previous tale as “The Ghosties” use their experience for this new case.

In this mystery, the three teens are hired by Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer to rid their house of a wailing woman ghost, who is looking for her lost baby. The first order of business is to discover who she is.

A fun paranormal mystery, that brings to mind Lockwood & Co. as three crime solving teens set out once again to solve a case! I really enjoyed this one as well as the first, and look forward to reading more of this series!
