Heʼs patient, kind, sweet and
tender... with just enough
swagger to make me absolutely
weak in the knees. Absolutely
nothing like my ex husband, and a
role model Iʼd love my little girl
Anna May to have for a father.
But there is only one problem, he
wonʼt fall in love. Not then, not
now and not ever.
I tell myself to forget him. I tell
myself this chemistry I feel is

Not my first read by the author and I was rather really looking forward to this one!! Each book that comes out gets better and better!!
What a heartbreaking book! I love reading about military romance and this one GAVE ME ALL THE FEELS! The events the actions…perfected! Emotions, love, darkness for the both of the main characters. It was deep and heartfelt.

Jolene Stewart who is Noah’s sister is a fierce woman, protective of her daughter in every sense. The love she has for her and the need to g

Evelyn Montgomery does two things really well: suspense and sex. During the entire novel, you’re constantly on edge, questioning whether or not Troy is going to make the right decision. And even when you think he has finally made a decision, he just as quickly changes his mind. I’m like get it together, man!! We need you! And then…omg…the sex. Holy cannoli it is mind-blowing. Jo and Troy have rockin’ chemistry and Montgomery knows how to dish it out. Sex, for our two leads, is a way to speak to ...more

I have been a fan of Evelyn’s since her very first book, book 1 in this series! Each book gets better and better and I fall in love with them even more. Noah has always been my man but she killed it with Troy!!

We all know I have a weakness for anything military related, I HAVE to read all the military romances out there. Eve did such a wonderful job on this one! She got the feelings and emotions so spot on with this. Nothing was over the top or not true. The feelings and emotions and actions in

I really enjoyed Deliverance by Evelyn Montgomery.
This was my first book from her and will not be the last. She definitely captured my attention with this book. I have not read the previous books in the series, but the stand-alone is easy enough to follow along with the other characters.

This book is full of raw emotions and plenty of self-inflicted angst.

Evelyn truly captured the pain associated with loving a man in the military.
Troy was tragic. Everything about him was broken and damaged, yet

I received this book as an arc for review. All thoughts are my own. This is the first Evelyn Montgomery book I’ve ever read by her. I didn’t read the previous books in the series and got along just fine in this book. As it can be read as a stand-alone. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. I can’t wait to read the previous books.
I think this is the first second chance romance I ever really liked. Usually I’m not a fan but I really enjoyed this one. I liked how it was a military r

I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review.

The is only the second book in the series that I have read, so it can be read as a stand-alone.
Troy. Poor Troy, everything he goes through makes him build a wall up around himself not allowing anyone to get too close. But the one person who gets through more than any other is Jo. He asks her to wait only to run from her twice as he is unable to get over the loss he has from his past.
Jo always hold a place in her heart just for Troy even thoug

This is the first book I have had the honor of reading for this author and boy did she take me on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster. The romance was raw, at times even gut wrenching... the intimate scenes were just plain 🔥.... then the character’s pasts were heartbreaking. I also have to commend the author on how she covered Troy’s past, his PTSD, through the flashbacks... it was just astounding. On a lighter note I also loved that the book was set largely in TN, being a TN girl myself I lo ...more

Ah, Jo and Troy. A history of closeness and distance, joy and heartache, love and darkness.

Jo’s past is both beautiful and dangerous as we enter into yet another exciting city in book 4 of the Kismet series.

We find a distraught and hiding Jolene Stewart, Noah’s sister, working in a restaurant in Nashville. Hiding from the ex she put behind bars for heinous crimes. Just as she’s meeting up with a handsome face she hasn’t seen in years, Troy Young-- tall, sexy Navy S.E.A.L.-- need I say more la

It has been a while since I've read a military romance, and let me just tell you that it was such a breath of fresh air.

I loved Jo and Troy's romance. Jo is running away from her ex, while trying to keep her daughter safe. Nail biting already. She rekindles with Troy, who has been struggling with the death of his brother and thus keeping a guard up from Jo, entering his heart.

The only things i struggled with was the dialogue with Jo's daughter (can't remember her name) and i can't really explai

One word. Fear.

Jolene would do anything to protect her daughter, Anna May. After escaping her dangerous ex, Jo thought life might quiet down a bit. But that's not the case when Troy, her Navy SEAL old flame comes back into the picture. As they grow closer once more, their separate pasts come knocking and aren't content to let them be. Can they break down the walls or will their relationship crumble once more?

Trigger warning for PTSD, death, war scenes, sexual assault, mentions of rape, suicide,

Evelyn Montgomery has known one thing since as far back as she can remember, she wanted to be a writer.
Born in Orange County, California, she grew up scribbling notes and drawing stick figures on blank pages and stapling them together calling them her latest book. Her family moved to Northern California when she was five, and throughout the years her writing evolved to poems, songs and short stor
