South side boy Kalum has nothing to do wth billionaires and royals. He is an awesome bad alpha boy with a golden heart who will do anything to protect his beloved ones.
Kalum and Tori don’t do relationships but their chemistry is explosive and agree to be “friends with benefits”.
The plot had plenty of twists and turns, suspense, steamy scenes, was very well written, dual pov and fast paced.

This is such a awesome book and so well written that I really enjoyed. The plot, characters and word building were amazing and pulled me in form the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. It's the story of Kalum and Tori neither one doing relationships. Than they meet and sparks fly with an attraction for one another they both try to deny. I loved them both with their banter and their attraction fro each other. It's a well written story with action, drams, suspense, heartbreak, secrets, hot and ...more

Broken and Healed by Love

Broken, Alexis Winter’s second installment (but able to be read alone) in the South Side Boys story. Tory Brennan was not meant for small town life; the idea of leaving Chicago and returning to Wisconsin for even one weekend to attend the combined “reunion” of several graduating classes is challenging. But, even more challenging than her weekend return to the past, is keeping her “date”—Kalum West—from doing damage to her heart. Tory’s best friend, Annabelle,

AMAZING !! This second book was better than the first one. Don’t get me wrong I really really liked the first one but this was intense. Keeping secrets no matter how small or big usually have a way of coming out and when they do it usually isn’t good. Kalum and Tori met through friends and have had very strong feelings for each other but he wouldn’t act on them and she let him know in several ways she was interned but never acted on them. As time goes on Kalum is in a bar by himself and Tori com ...more

Oh, it gets so good before it gets even better…
This was a steamy follow-up to DAMAGED, another South Side Boys book in the series about some bad boys who find their forever with the right girl. There is no need to read DAMAGED about Annabelle and Jaxson to understand this book, but it will give some insight into Kalum and Tori.
Twenty-five-year old Tori now manages the Perks coffee shop after her BFF, Annabelle leaves it to go live her dream with Jaxson. She is the total opposite from Anna

Can a hard- headed man with secrets and an equally stubborn woman find everlasting love?

What a great second book in the South Side Boys series. I did not want to put it down. Alexis has created a wonderful world, vibrant and filled with intriguing characters. It has all you have come to expect from her. Just the right amount of angst. Old friends, enough sass to satisfy, loyalty, brotherly love, danger, and enough passion to start the next great Chicago fire! I loved this book!

Explosive! Alexis put everything she has into this mind blowing block buster, prize winning, page flipping bombshell, full of heat, frills and thrills blasting this bad boy to life flawlessly. Alpha male, lusty thoughts and dirty fantasies at it's finest. I need this guy's number. I melted right then and there. Yep, I'm a puddle. One chaotic ride with a bounty of swirling emotions burst into play front and center. Trials and tribulations abound with sharp curves, c

Yowza! This book had me captivated from start to finish. A man bun tatted gorgeous bad boy and a drop-dead black haired beauty will steal your hearts. Both do not want relationships! Her motto: “hit it and quit it,” famous last words. A pool game and bet change everything!
Tori Brennan a cafe manager and Kalum West a former car thief find they can’t keep their hands off each other after a high school reunion. Kalum loses a bet in a pool game with Tori which is for him to attend her high sch

OMG, this was such an awesome book! Tori and Kallum have a volatile friendship, where Tori loves to antagonize Kallum when they get together with their mutual friends. Kallum is the silent, brooding type of man. When Tori needs a man to accompany her to her class reunion (as a protector and fake boyfriend), Kallum agrees to accompany her. Sparks begin to fly between them and they decide to become friends with benefits, but they also agree to keep their relationship very private. They both begin ...more

Wow! Amazing story.
Loved this story & its great characters (some you will know from the previous book damaged) it has you sucked in from the start. The relationship between Tori & Kalum starts off just as banter because she doesn't do 'relationships' & he thinks he is too old for her. After losing a bet to her he agreed to being her fake boyfriend at her school reunion but the night ended with super hot sex, neither wanted a relationship together so the agreed to a Secret frien

6 STARS--Tori and Kalum are HOT HOT HOT!!
But will they last?? That’s the question. That’s what this fantastic story is about.
The story line is more than solid and unique, it is well told and real. The author takes us on a journey with Tori and her friends who we meet early in the book. Each character has much to give to the telling of the story. Kalum enters the picture in the first chapter as well. I wasn’t so sure about him from the start. I slowly came to like him and could ‘read betwe

This was so good and the series keeps getting better. Tori and Kalum are explosive together. Tori is a sassy and feisty woman who tells it how it is. She often speaks before thinking. She doesn’t do relationships, atleast not long term. Kalum is also outspoken and doesn’t do relationships. Lately, he has become even more grumpy and broody. When they met Tori wanted Kalum and vice versa. Kalum needs to keep his distance from her, even though he wants her with everything he has. When he loses a be ...more

What a phenomenal bad boy turned good story from Alexis Winter. Kalum is a reformed auto thief turned auto mechanic. Tori needs Kalum to be her boyfriend for a high school reunion. When their relationship blossoms from friends-to-lovers they are the happiest they have ever been even if the relationship is still a secret from their friends. However when ghosts from Kalum's past reemerge, Kalum's and Tori's relationship is put to the test. Broken is an explosively thrilling and passionate book fil ...more

This is a great addition to this series and is probably one of the best books I have read for a while

Kallum West is a bad boy he is an ex con who was convicted for car stealing Not only that he is grumpy and surly and says exactly what he thinks. Tori Brennan is a cafe manager who also says exactly what she thinks and damn the consequences When she wins a pool game between them his forfeiture is that he will attend her high school\l reunion with her. Riveting, romantic, and oh so STEAMY!

BROKEN, the second book in Author Alexis Winter’s Southside Boys series, blew me out of the water! It was incredibly romantic to watch Tori and and Kalum fall in love and equally upsetting to watch the challenges life threw at them! Using her eloquently descriptive prose, author Winter takes readers on an emotional yet compelling ride. It is a ride NO romance reader wants to miss as this engaging story is full of the most well developed and fascin

Tori and Kalum are really tempting fate when both so strenuously do NOT want any kind of serious relationship.

With Tori’s class reunion coming up, she doesn’t have a date and needs to fix that little problem. She meets Kalum when she and her friends go out together. Kalum loses a bet in a pool game with Tori which obligates him to attend her high school reunion as her date! Problem solved, right? The two of them have undeniable chemistry! They are perfect together. But when Kalum’s past catches

This is Alexis Winters second South Side book. We get to see the characters from the last book and dive right into Kalum and Tori’s story. I would recommend reading book one first as it will set up the perspective.

Neither Kalum or Tori really does relationships. Kalum is trying to keep his space but when Tori wins a game of pool Kalum has to be her pretend boyfriend at her reunion. When they start their secret friends with benefits agreement they both thought they could walk away at

Kalum and Tori’s relationship was intense and full of raw emotions. Tori’s tough facade was ripped apart with her feelings for Kalum and the more vulnerable she became, the more horrible the pain she had to endure by his withdrawal.
I hated the way she suffered. I hated the way she had to endure his betrayal.
It really didn’t matter that he had a good reason and needed to protect her. But really?! He couldn’t find some shred of trust in her to tell her the truth?
Kudos to the author from talking

Two Cynics Falling In Love:
By Korkoi -

Kalum and Tori have feelings for each other, but they are weary of relationships, so they agree to having secret friends-with-benefits trysts. They seem to forget that the more time they spend with each other, this would become a relationship. Unfortunately, Kalum’s life is filled with complications, which leads him to keeping secrets from his family and friends, which comes crashing down on him at an inopportune time. The book has an incredible mixture of

This book is a lot better than I thought. And as I just know that it is the second book in the series, I want to read the first one too. Kalum and Tori's story is, I can't deny that it's, HOT but I also think that Kalum is a sweet guy when he falls in love. Tori is a strong woman. I love how she handles herself when Kalum broke her heart. And I love it even more when Kalum goes after her. It's hilarious. I enjoy reading the book very much and would like to recommend it to anyone who love reading ...more

This is the second book of the South side boys series. It's Tori and Kalum story.
They know each other for mutual friends, and when they get together sparks fly.
Tori is a fun, outgoing and independent girl who has set her sight on Kalum.
Kalum is a brooding man, with a shady past. Although the attraction for Tori is obvious, he doesn't let things go further, until their trip to Tori's hometown.
I loved Tori and Kalum interactionx, their banter and how they managed their repressed

Kalum is such a hot bad boy! Doesn't matter what he looks like, or got a record, been in jail, or a grumpy bloke, he had redeemed himself because he lives Tori and deep down an honorable guy. I really enjoyed this book, it was an all rounder, lots of drama, tension and steam. Just the chemistry between them, their group of friends and family, added new friends all played so well together and only enriches the story. Good story mixing romance and suspense
The story is well written, moving, with twists and good characters who do not let the others walk over them. There is a former prisoner car thief (Kalum), who is building a new life with his own garage and who succeeds, but who is caught up by his past. Added to this is the beginning of a relationship he wanted to avoid with Tori to avoid complications. If Kalum seems to be involved in anything, he does it to protect those he loves, but their

This is the second book in the south side boys series and I loved it so much. It was great catching up with all the characters again but Tori and Kalum were just hot hot hot. Kalum has fast become my favourite out of the men. He is tough but also a softie especially when it comes to Tori. Add in some drama and we really have a fiery combination. Cannot wait to read the next book in the series and judging by the first two I definitely won’t be disappointed.

Kalum and Tori are in a group of friends. After a bet, Kalum has to attend a school reunion with Tori. While there, they decided to escalate their relationship to friends with benefits. I have thoroughly enjoyed the speedy responses from Tori and would have loved to have had her in my corner against the world.
The TV show "Friends" in book form. The support and love between friends carries one far.

I received an arc for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book. The characters were so well written. Kallum - who couldn't possibly love him. Tori - she was SO good. She was a real "cracker jack." They were both so alike in personality, as well as their chemistry. It was so good to "see" everyone from "Damaged," again. I hope anyone reading this review will buy this book as it is fantastic. Needless to say, I highly recommend this book.
