For the rest, we ache for what they have.

I open my eyes and pull away to look at her. Her face tells me everything she won’t. All her truths written so plainly on her telling features. This is so much more than nothing. It feels like the beginning of something with a promise of everything.

This is a wonderful read and another amazing addition to this incredibly series. Hadrian and Lyric's story was everything I had hoped it would be. I loved witnessing Hadrian finally being tested and the emotional growth he needed to transform from lovable, petulant young adult into full-fledged swoon worthy hero. The storyline grabs and holds your attention with drama, action, clever banter, tension, emotions, suspense, twists, passion and romance. Lyric was a astoundingly strong female lead tha ...more

So far this is my favorite book in the series, I've been waiting to read Hadrian's story. I'm loving this world these two amazing authors have created, the whole series is a perfect mix of everything we all love in a good read.

The Lonely Orphan is an incredibly heartwarming and fiery hot story that I have been impatiently waiting for awhile now. I never knew exactly why this particular character had stolen a piece of my heart, but I completely understand why now. I wasn’t expecting the beauty and love that I found within these pages, and it made my heart sing like never before as I allowed them to overtake and fill me up. What you find is so much more then just a love story. You discover a story of unmatched hope, a s ...more

With The Lonely Orphan, I stepped out of my confort zone and ventured into the unknown world of sci-fi books. Saw enough movies, and growing up, I loved Star Trek, the series with Jean-Luc Picard and his crew, so I thought, what the rekk, I am going to give it a go, and read my first sci-fi book. And whaddaya know? K. Webster pulled it off again. She and Nicole Blanchard, worked their magic with the words, and I liked it. I really love, how Kristi can joggle different genres, mix

As soon as I opened this read, I was instantly back in Mortuus with my favorite Morts. Not going to lie... I kind of LOVE this series, and this world that K and Nicole have created. From the dynamics of each character to the details in which they create this world, it’s incredible. Each book added to the series is like another layer of intrigue and insight of what it is to be a Mort. Throw in the complexities of each character, and when you sit down to read you get a WHOLE ‘nother perspective. E ...more

Hadrian was the youngest of all the morts and he was in love with someone he couldn't have. As the foster son of the commander, he shouldn't be in love with the commander's wife, much less make it into a problem. When he's tasked with leaving the facility to retrieve family members of the humans, he's angry at being separated from his love, regardless of the fact that she only see's him as a little brother. How could he ever expect that that dangerous trip would be the best thing to happen to him?

I was worried about our remaining Morts after all the other human women were mated off, especially Hadrian. He was positive that he was in love with Aria, even though she is mated to Breccan, the mort he considers his father. And after the events of the last book, where we get an MMF group, Hadrian is just positive that Aria could choose to add him to her mating with Breccan. It doesn't matter that she has made it quite clear that she only sees him as a little brother, that thought is still ther ...more

I devoured this baby.

Devoured.

Once I started there was no putting the book down. I just kept turning those pages because I couldn’t get enough of the Morts and the ‘aliens’ and all that was going on with them and really, REALLY wasn’t happy when there were no more words to read...especially after reading that epilogue.

Hadrian. He’s one of the ones I wanted to Gibbs smack some sense into for a long time, and in the beginning of this one that f

Gosh I love this series!!! Each book is just better than the last it seems, and that’s saying a lot since I’ve been loving these morts from book one! This is Hadrian’s story about finding peace, love, and his mate. And boy was his mate just perfect for him. And not just because she looks a lot like aria, who’s the commander’s mate.

Lyric is aria’s sister and when Aria, finds out she’s nearby, Hadrian says he will go rescue her so he can make Aria happy and smiles at him. Yes, our sweet Hadrian h

I don’t know how we got here, Lyric. I never expected it. Never dreamed beyond what seems like silly desires in my past. This, though,” I mutter, pressing my palm to her bare skin beneath her shirt. “This is real and I want it more than anything in my entire life.

K Webster and Nicole Blanchard slayed this sci-fi, alien romance. This is the 5th book in the Lost Planet Series. This is a standalone but I highly recommend reading all of them because you don't know what you're missing if you haven't read them yet, and it will help you understand who the other characters are (there are interconnected characters in each book). These books just keep getting better.

I did NOT want this book to end! It went by so quickly because I was sucked into Hadrian and Lyric’s story! loved Hadrian’s 18yo attitude but it didn’t last long once he met Lyric and she put him in his place or should I say cell?! ;)

These two get off to a rocky start but they begin to learn to trust each other and work together. Add in two insane situations that put them to the ultimate test and I couldn’t wait to see if they would make it out alive!

I knew this would be good!!! I liked that it had a different vibe than the others. Like now their little world was expanding and were now on new turf. Lyric’s turf that is. Welcome to prison b!tch!! I love how cocky Hadrian is. Thankfully over the course of their time together he becomes less cocky and more of the assured leader he’s been training to become all along. Love this pairing. Was curious how she’d feel once she realizes how deep his devotion goes for her older sister, b

K Webster and Nicole Blanchard gave Hadrian the story he deserved!

Hadrian is the youngest Mort and was raised by Commander Breccan. He also wants the one thing he knows he can't have, Aria, Breccan's mate. Something he doesn't hide.

Since he's the youngest, he feels as though the other Morts don't give him the respect he deserves.

Now he's on a mission to save Aria's sister and Molly's daughter.

What starts as a mission to prove he will do anything for the woman he loves becomes one

Oh boy! Where do I start? This book had me hooked. I loved all the other books and as I thought I loved this one too. I was very impatient about this one because Hadrian was considered by the other morts a child. There were scenes where he acted naive and trustful, but also he proved himself worthy for a future leader. I loved how he fought at first his feelings for Lyric (he was very adamant about his love for Aria) but in the end, the way he cared about her and how he described how he felt for ...more

I don't know what it is about these rekking Morts but I just can't get enough of them. They are arrogant, broody, stubborn aliens but somehow they always find a way to be sweet and loving to the women they fall for. Hadrian is no exception. I think what I love most about him is his ability to turn every situation around. I honestly think that someday he will be a great leader. He's so naive and goes into the prison with a mission to bring Limerick (Lyric) back. However that naive attitude gets b ...more

The Lonely Orphan is Hadrian story. Being raised by Brochan and his feelings toward Aria, makes him a restless young man. Going on a search n rescue mission, Hadrian will learn he do have something or rather someone who can actually be his.

I am in awe of these authors. I did not think this series could get better and then they go and write this glorious masterpiece of alien romance.
Hadrian had always been the lovable rogue, barely an adult, thrown into a life where he expected to be alone for eternity. Then along comes the humans and his life perspective shifts, unfortunately he is the best friend and not the romantic lead, until now.
A beautiful story that captures all the emotion and heartache of these morts.

The Lonely Orphan by K Webster and Nicole Blanchard is book 5 in the Lost Planet series. This is Hadrian and Lyric’s story. Hadrian is considered the youngest alien. He has fallen in love with another's mate (Aria) and he was sent on a mission to bring back Aria's sister after a ping comes in on where she's at.
Lyric is a strong, independent, sassy, stubborn woman who doesn't put up with stupid. I liked reading how tangled and intertwined this romance was. I have been dying for Hadrian's st

What a really good continuation of the Lost Planet series. Now the time has come for Hadrian, he's the youngest mort, that wants nothing more than Breccan's mate - Aria. And he needs some escape from this - so his mission to fetch Aria's sister and Molly's daughter seems ideal. So what can o wrong? Well... EVERYTHING!
Women at other statins are doing everything they have to survive, so nothing is off the table. Lyric and Hadrian's story will be rocky, full of misunderstandings and hidden pa

K Webster and Nicole Blanchard did a great job on this story. The Lonely Orphan was a great story, the plot was very well written, it was filled with many emotions. It was a great addition to the Lost Planet Series. I would have to say, this is my favorite of all. Hadrian and Lyric were great characters. I enjoyed their story. These two were made for each other. Okay, so I don’t usually read this genre of books, but I was given an opportunity to read this from Nicole Blanchard, so I thought what the heck. I have not read the first four books in the series, but I was able to follow along with what has happened in the previous books in the series. I actually really enjoyed this book. Lyrics spunk matched Hadrian’s powerful personality. The storyline kept my interest, enjoyed the supporting characters a lot. Would definitely read Theron and Willow’s story ...more

Rades are awful

Hadrian believes he is in love with Aria until he gets his socks knocked off by Asia's sister Lyric.

After only a few kisses between the two, the Rades spread throughout the prison. I'm still not sure exactly what causes the Rades only what it does.

I'm looking forward to Theron and Molly's book. These two are funny and Theron is quick to the draw. Lol.

The only disappointment is the book ends at 90% and the beginning also has several pages tha

This was funny and sweet and mildly scary. This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I’m slightly disappointed that I didn’t discover it sooner. It’s different but so good.
