I read this for my political book for the winter book challenge on the nest book club board. It was ok. I'm not much into politics so a lot of it didn't make much sense to me.

I enjoyed how it was broken up into short stories and there were some funny ones. It was also neat to see how many famous people Tip O'Neill knew when he was Speaker of the House. I liked his idea of politics which didn't seem as sleezy as most. He seemed like a good guy. I also liked that he was from Massachusetts :)

An inside look at what it means to gain and hold political office in the United States, and an excellent companion to Chris Matthews' "Hardball".

A really entertaining book, rather short that you can read in 1 sitting. It's a book that I recommend for those who considering running for public office and to keep the book by your side as it contains many valuable "rules" on how to be successful. The man spent literally half a century in politics and his wisdom shows.
