❤❤❤❤ Adorable, funny and a perfect Christmas read!

You meet the man of your dreams.....sparkling blue eyes, dark hair and a smile that lights up the frigid winter air......the problem is ..he hates journalists...and you are one!

What's a girl to do?? When a gorgeous stranger knocks Isobel off her feet ( literally) and she ends up in the gutter covered in snow and almost plowed over by a bus-she finds herself gazing into his big blue eyes and wondering if she should yell at

I came across this book kind of accidentally when I was on NetGalley's site and cover / blurb caught my attention. And thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins, they were so generous to given this ebook to me.

This book was short but it was so sweet. I liked how Tom & Isobel's relationship grow. Story went on kind of slow pace but I really enjoyed it just the way it is because it didn't felt like everything happened too fast and this left me quite satisfied. I just have a little bit issue abou

One Week ‘Til Christmas by Belinda Missen is a quickie holiday contemporary romance that takes place in the days leading up to Christmas. With the short amount of time frame for this novella length book readers are of course going to find a case of insta-love involved in case that bothers anyone.

Isobel Bennett is a travel journalist who is used to being on the go and never quite sure where she will end up. Based out of Australia where Christmas falls during the hot months of summer I

This is a relatively short read but definitely a good one to read as we head into the coldest months of the year.

The story is set as it states in the title, in the one week in the run up to Christmas. In a way it was lovely for Isobel to literally bump into someone she is very much attracted to. As she isn’t going to be in the UK for long though, I did fear whether there could be any real happy ending for her and Tom.

Isobel and Tom are lovely characters whose blossoming r

One Week ‘Til Christmas was cozy, lighthearted and heartwarming romantic comedy with Christmassy feel. The book was about passion, dream, workplace relationship, love friendship, trust, and Christmas luck.

This was my second Belinda Missen book. Writing was charming. It was first person narrative in Isobel’s charming voice. Characters were interesting, setting was magical, filled with festivity and romance was sweet

I am not a huge fan of the trope where someone falls for a celebrity; but the winsome voice, surprising sense of humour and well crafted setting trumped that. Last year before setting off to London Christmas markets I picked up a Christmas set book that I hoped would get me in the mood for my trip. What I found instead was a read that had all the immersive charm of a copy and pasted wikipedia entry. I mention this because the starring character of the book is London— so magically so. It is very ...more

Do you know that feeling when you reach ‘the end’ but desperately want the book to go on? That’s exactly the feeling I experienced with “One Week Til Christmas”. It’s such a feel-good read, I’m sure it’ll leave me with a blissful smile for days.

For me, this novel has got it all: totally swoon-worthy hero (one of those with real emotions and a soft heart AND the perfect looks); a heroine who’s intelligent, charismatic, authentic and not afraid to take matters into her own hands; a fun

Is it too early for a Christmas read? Well, I don’t think so!

This incredible book put me in an advanced Christmas spirit and I’m not complaining. I really enjoyed the special holiday vibe this book gave me.

The story was incredibly sweet and very enjoyable. I truly loved the whole point of meeting someone by accident, slowly falling in love with them, and then having to make difficult choices about career, future, and basically about life in general. These are the topics t

Swoon worthy romance, laugh out loud comedy, more drama then you can shake a stick at and a beautiful Christmas magically feel that is sure to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Let me set the scene. The snow is falling all around you, Christmas lights sparkle their magic twinkling in the star light. Isobel is sitting at the bus stop waiting for her bus home when gorgeous Tom literally slips on some ice and landed literally in her lap. The chemistry is instantaneous. But feeling embarrassed T

One Week 'Til Christmas by Belinda Missen is a fun, festive read that will get you in the Christmas spirit!

I adore Christmas and this one of my favourite festive reads so far this year. From their meeting, I was hooked. This book was anything I was hoping for and more. I found myself grinning throughout the read. I don’t typically like books set in the U.K. but there was something magical about this one.

It really made me wish this was my life. Isobel was one of my favourite characters while both of the main characters were so likeable and I loved Estelle too.

Isobel is a travel journalist and is in London for a few days visiting a friend. She literally bumps into Tom one day and finds that he is to be the subject of one of her interviews a few days later. When she bumped into him she had no idea that he is a famous face. when he asks her on a date to make up for the accident she leaps at the chance but then decides that as she is only here for the week then there is little point taking it any further. This one crept up on me. To start with, I wasn’t ...more

I have had the pleasure of reading and reviewing a couple of Belinda’s books now. I have thoroughly enjoyed those that I have read. I read each new book that she releases whilst at the same time trying to catch up with her previous books. I read the synopsis for ‘One Week ‘Til Christmas’ and I just knew that I had to get hold of a copy as soon as possible. ‘One Week ‘Til Christmas’ isn’t officially released until 1st November 2019 but I was fortunate enough to have a sneaky peek at a review copy ...more

Is it safe to say that I'm the first male reader that gives a review to this warm-hug-of-happiness book? This is relatively short as expected with the title, but a good read for those who want to feel Christmassy before December and also for those who are just looking for another rom-com read.

'One Week 'Til Christmas' is one of those books that I just could not put down, so much so, I read it in one sitting.

Set during the week leading up to Christmas, Tom and Isobel take us on a journey through London where the festive season is in full swing. Winter markets, ice-skating, mulled wine, mistletoe - all those Northern Hemisphere Christmas traditions. Isobel Bennett is a travel writer, seeming to be always on the road. She enjoys the travel and the places she visits, getting to know historic places and small town festivals. She makes friends wherever she lands. The only things she doesn't have time for are television and current movies. Her main regret - not being home for family events and holidays. She finally gets a chance to be in London at Christmas, quite the change from her home in Australia but she is determined to be home for Christm ...more

Love a good cheesy romance, and one that’s set around Christmas time is my favourite & ‘one week ‘till Christmas’ certainly didn’t disappoint.

This book follows Isobel, a travelling journalist who is currently in the UK on holiday, visiting friends that she’s made whilst ‘on the job’ on her way to catch the bus to her friends house she gets knocked into the gutter by a passing gentlemen who she can’t help but realise is beautiful, things feel awkward for a couple of minutes then h

I immediately felt like I was in the story, walking down the snowy streets of London smelling the pines and the delicious treats from the winter markets. What a magical well described time. ♥
The romance wasn’t earth shattering but it was cute. This is a clean romance in case anyone was wondering and I wanted more chemistry between these two. It fell short for me. The Christmas parts were very Christmassy and I loved all of that. If you love all things Christmas then you’ll probably li

Good story although predictable, I enjoyed the vocabulary and diction although certain points too much and the paragraph felt crowded. The characters were well developed despite the short book. I also appreciated the accurate scenario of being taken advantage of in a workplace, the boss overusing and asking for too much from one employee. I don’t really enjoy when there is a lack of trust and the characters overcome that too quickly it feels disingenuous, unrealistically forgiving. Overall, if y ...more

Who doesn’t love a Holiday romance - and one set in the magical backdrop of London at Christmas? (sigh)

Before a conversation can get started, Isobel needs to run to catch her bus. However, the following day Isobel receives a work assignment to interview an actor, who is none other than Tom.
