Holy wow this book will suck you in and keep you reading to the last pages. I loved every second of this book. This is the story of Harmony and Bates. These two are perfect for each other until he ends up on a hit list and has to go to a save house for two years. Now the time has finally come for Harmony to go and get her man and you can just imagine the shock of it when she finds him with another woman living with him. Payback hurts and Harmony is armed and ready to hurt. This book will blow you away. It is my first H.R. Owen book but it sure won't be my last.

Bates had a horrific childhood, which shaped him into the tortured soul that he was. Harmony is seriously a bad a**, who despised Bates for breaking her heart, so between that & her childhood which wasn't exactly filled with rainbows & unicorns, well, she can take on anything that comes her way. Again, Bates broke Harmony's heart in the past, and as far as I'm concerned, he deserved quite a bit of the things that happened to him as a man, but not everything mind you. These two were explosive, so you already know that sexy times are crazy hot, and their fights were like foreplay. Neither gives a crap what other's think of them, so it gives them more of an edge. It was a dark & twisty read, and the twists were seriously awesome, plus set the loud f-bomb dropping off like crazy. It also made for some intense heart pounding moments, as it wasn't all about Bates & Harmony finding their way back to each other. However, there was some romance, or should I say brutal romance, but it was slow going as Bates had to get Harmony's forgiveness. So, if you want to find out how it all pans out, one click this dark goodness that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL BRAVE ENOUGH!

Dark Soul is the second book in the Dark Series, a very accurate title! This is a dark and MC romance. I loved Harmony and Bates's story. This was a hell of a journey to follow these crazy characters. The story is fast-paced, filled with unpredictable and chocking twists and turns. Some scenes were crazy/hilarious to me (I know, maybe it was nervous!), others scenes were sexy hot! The characters are likable, despite the fact that they are all ruthless, broken soul, and crazy! I loved the ending. This story/series is nothing like I have read before and I loved it! Now, I need Hunter's story! Please, tell me this story is already planned and on its way! I enjoyed my reading and I highly recommend this Series, if you like dark romance.

Harmony and Bates are two freaking peas in a pod in a brutal romantic type of way. Both growing up in not ideal ways and their stories will break your heart. This blurb totally drew me in by promising an interesting dark romance and HR Owen did not disappoint. The characters don't care about what others think and that makes them perfect for each other, but Bates broke Harmony's heart, will he be able to convince her he is only for her?

All in all, if you like books a bit more on the darker side and more of an MC read, this is definitely your type of book and kept my attention throughout the whole story.

My first novel by H.R. Owen. It's dark, gritty, and not for the faint of heart. I love when a writer makes me feel for the characters. I so did! I felt bad for Mason. He was such a good guy, or was he? Bates and Harmony definitely have a lot of baggage, and will they get more going after Jack, Mason's dad? (Bates has such a tragic background!) Harm's got her Dad's MC behind them, but is that going to be enough? Looking forward to more by this author, and I definitely need to check out Dark Mind.

Bates was abused as a child. His mother let other men use him to pay for her alcohol and drugs. So young when he shot her dead. The only person who loved him besides Mary, his new mom, was Harmony.

Harmony is a 'brutal b*tch' and a killer. She's still upset with Bates for breaking her heart. Together they are dark and explosive.

Now Harmony, Bates and the brothers must bring down Jack's empire. Who will survive?

Oh crikey. I thought this authors first book, Dark Mind, was amazing but this was even better and I didn’t think that was possible.

Bates and Harmony are two great strong characters. Harmony can give as good as she gets.

My heart ached for Bates. He didn’t have a good childhood and I was rooting that he would find peace and happiness.

This is a fantastic read. The author blew my expectations. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author soon I hope lol
