This is my first exposure to this author, and I can't say that this book is enticing me back for more. The characters are rather sex-obsessed. They've been friends since childhood. She's the twin of his best friend whom he fell out with after their acclaimed restaurant went bankrupt following the betrayal and grand larceny by their business manager. The aftermath of this was nasty and the friendship between the guys never recovered. Reid moved back home to work in the family business instead. ...more

5 - "Big dick and likes to cuddle… Wow." Stars!

That Secret Crush is the third book in the Getting Lucky series, but the first book I have read by Meghan Quinn, and I know it’s only February, but it’s the best book I have read so far this year.

I loved Reid and Eve, they were such a great couple, the sexy times were plentiful and imaginative, and their verbal sparring entertaining, both of their strong characters complimented the other and the story-line worked really well around their
I need to give this 6 stars! I've loved this series from the start because these Knightly brothers are IT. They are funny, sexy, sweet, family crazy and did I mention funny, well they are actually hilarious.

Reid is all in with the curse business. Not only in love but with his love of coming, losing his restaurant, his best friend .. Eve is the twin to said best friend Eric. She's secretly crushed on Reid her entire life. But she's not willing to lose the person closest to her with outing her

This series as a whole has been excellent, but it was more LIKE than LOVE for me with this one. Meghan Quinn doesn't know how to write a bad book, so this has everything I love about her work - the playful banter, the humor, the complex characters, and the small town charm found in the rest of the series. I just didn’t love Reid as a hero - he messes up too

Yeah...Reid's boundaries...well he has none, “all this wiggling is getting me hot and bothered. Want to do it in your car?” Reid is willing to go that extra mile to make sure his giel has a good time, “your place, after your shift tonight. I’ll be on your bed, butt-*** naked, legs spread, showing off the goods.” Reid is very proud of his meatballs, “I tried to do mirror images for you, but I’m out of practice. Don’t worry, babe, I’ll get it right one day, and you can finally say you’ve had my

Siiiiigh... just finished this book and I couldn’t be more in love with the Knightly brothers, Port Snow and all the people living there

I’m a total sucker for small town romances, and I’m so in love with this city, I look for it on google maps every time I read a book in this series! That town is fiction, let me save you from looking for it

The third book in the Getting Lucky series brings us Reid and his story. As the title reveals, he has a secret crush. On Eve, twin sister on his best

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Eve and Reid have known each other forever and they have the whole "I like him, but there is no way he likes me/I like her, but there is no way she likes me" thing going on. Eve is also the younger sister of his best friend, who he is pretty much estranged from so he feels as though he can't do anything about his crush.

Then one night, a snow storm makes them both throw caution to the wind and they spend the night

I don't know what it is but for some reason, it felt like there was something off about this book for me. It wasn't bad by any means, but I know that for me it wasn't even close to being as good as the other books in this series.

When you have a favourite author in any genre, it takes a bit of a toll on you when you have to say that a book they've written isn't as good as you expected it to be. It really hurts my heart to say that this third book of the Getting Lucky series, compared to the other

Five Stars for ‘That Secret Crush’ (Getting Lucky, Book 3) by Meghan Quinn

Many thanks to NetGalley, Montlake Romance, and Meghan Quinn for an ARC in exchange for an honest book review of ‘That Secret Crush’ (Getting Lucky, Book 3). My thoughts and opinions are 100% my own and independent of receiving an advance copy.

I've been counting down to the release of this book since I finished Rogan's story and it didn't disappoint! I didn't think much about Reid's character when we meet him in the first two books. He's known for not being able to take much of anything seriously, so I was surprised by how much I connected with his story. Fair warning: out of all the books in this series this has the most sex scenes and it gets pretty steamy up in this read. Reid's character has zero filter and he does lay it

Reid Knightly has harbored a secret crush on his best friend Eric's twin sister for as long as he can remember, but a childhood promise has long kept him from ever pursuing the spectacular Eve Roberts. But nowadays, Reid and Eve are much closer friends than the perpetually absent Eric, and hey... really good friends are allowed to have sex... right?

Small Town | Friend’s to Lovers Romance

Can I just say that I want to PERSONALLY LIVE IN PORT SNOW! I’ll take any of the Knightly brothers (they are all charmingly irresistible), live through harsh winters (I hate winter), and deal with the small-town gossip JUST TO BE THERE. Gosh, this is one fictional town I dream about. New England is a beautiful place to live because we get all the seasons and while I prefer my winters to be

This small town romance world that Meghan has created with Port Snow in the Getting Lucky Series is one of my favourites, I was looking forward to being back there with the beautifully described settings and quirky residents. Although That Secret Crush didn't quite have the deeper emotional angsty edge that Griffin and Rogan's books had I still loved the book.

That Secret Crush is Reid Knightly's story, one of friends to lovers with the added complication that the heroine Eve is his best friends
4 1/2 "Cuddly" Stars...

I think I've said it before....I really want to visit Port Snow and meet these people!! The Knightly family (including their significant others) has stolen my heart and Ms. Quinn has written them in a way that I really feel like I know them all.

That Secret Crush gives Reid his shot at love and he tries really hard to mess it up not just once...but several times. Reid has been battling self esteem issues for years. Basically, ever since he and his best friend, Eric had to

I have been a fan favorite of this series from the very beginning. As each book in this series closes out, I anxiously await the next siblings book, and I finally got Reid's. While I did enjoy That Secret Crush, Reid's story is not my favorite, but I don't want to start off with my dislikes. So I will start with everything I did like / love.

For starters, this series has an amazing amount of family dynamic. The banter between the family feels life-like, and I have found on more than one occasion

I love the Knightly’s. I really do.

But OMFG this one took my to hangover-ville, and not necessarily in a good way ~ at least not fully ~ because I’m exhausted in so many ways, it’s insane. I loved, LOVED some things and others...others they tried me, oh boy did they try me...hard and had me looking for a freezer, but in the end, I did like how everything turned out.

It was so great to be back in Port Snow with the Knightly brothers, I've loved everything about this series, from the small gossiping town to the sibling group texts. Reid Knightly has harbored a secret crush on his best friend's twin sister Eve since they were kids. It's been 3 years that he's been back in town after his failed restaurant with Eric, spending his days lobster fishing in the morning and working in his dad's shop in the afternoon, Reid's having a hard time shaking the failure and ...more

This is my favourite book in the series to date! I wasn't sure if I was going to like Reid but from the very beginning of the book, I fell for him big time! Eve is one lucky lady.

Both Reid and Eve grew up in Port Snow, as did her twin brother Eric. Reid and Eric hit it off and became fast best friends and Eve was their shadow. She was there to make sure they didn't do anything silly. Fast forward ten years and things are very different. After a failed attempt at owning and running a business

I love the authenticity and intimacy of a close knitted community and family that small town romance portray. It was a delight to go back to Port Snow, one of my favorite place, in That Secret Crush . The third book in the Getting Lucky series brought us Reid and Eve’s friends to lovers’, best friend’s sister romance. Their heartfelt story was filled with heartache, sweetness, laughter and most importantly love.

Reid and Eve complimented each other so well. Reid was a little damaged after the

That Secret Crush is the 3rd book about the Knightly Brothers. Each of these books can be read as a standalone, but I find them more enjoyable if read in order. These brothers were cursed by a witch in New Orleans and she said that they will not find love until their minds mature. They claim not to believe in the curse, but secretly, they have their doubts.

This book is about Reid Knightly. He was an aspiring chef who co-owned a restaurant with his best friend, Eric, until their business manager

That Secret Crush is the 3rd instalment in the Getting Lucky series of which I haven't read the others that came before it. You really don't need to read the previous ones to enjoy this book it's fabulous in its own right.

This one is probably my least favorite in the series. It's not that I didn't like it at all, it's just that it's not my cup of tea and Meghan Quinn has definitely written better books than this one.

My biggest issue with this book was Reid. He was too weak, too long for me. I love reading about character growth and watching someone overcome their obstacles, but he didn't really do that until the end and I feel like the first 3/4 of the book was him moping and lashing out. Oh and having sex with

It’s time to head back to Port Snow and our favorite Knightly brothers!

In my last review, I deemed Rogan my favorite (although he and Griff are neck and neck) and challenged Reid and Brig to take that top spot. Boy did Reid step up to the challenge!

I don’t even know where to begin with this man. He’s difficult, grumpy, and has a chip on his shoulder the size of the Grand Canyon. His confidence has taken several hits over the years and he’s not always easy to be around. But once you chip away at

Eve has had a crush on Reid forever! But he's her twin brother's best friend and that makes him off-limits. Reid and Eric open their dream restaurant together, but when their manager runs off with their money, they have to close the restaurant before it even really gets going. And along with the restaurant dying, so does their friendship. While Eric stays in Boston and continues to work as a chef, Reid tucks his tail between his legs and goes home to Port

If you wanted to know if the Getting Lucky series could get any better...the answer is YES. Yes, it could and it did with That Secret Crush. Going into this book, I didn't remember anything about Reid Knightly. I didn't even remember his character from the first couple of books other than his name. Well, Reid must have been saving all of his pizazz for his own book because he definitely stood out in That Secret Crush.

Reid was a man whose dreams had been crushed early on in adulthood. He just

Getting lucky or getting lost?

I laughed so hard I cried! I absolutely love the banter between the Knightly brothers.
Those group conversations had me snorting and my mascara running!

Eve: she was strong, smart and beautiful. Three things I adore in female characters. She knew what she wanted with Reid and very early on in the book let that be known. I really liked twin aspect, however, I felt like a stronger bond could have been formed, explained and twisted to tug at the readers heart.

That Secret Crush is the 3rd book in a series about the 4 dreamy and steamy Knightly brothers from the Hallmark-esque town of Port Snow, Maine. This book focuses on Reid who is a talented chef with lacking self esteem after a business venture gone terribly wrong. Reid will need to learn how to love himself in order to love his long time crush, Eve.

Third book in the series and oh my heart!!!!

First off, there are a lot of sex scenes. A. Lot. With Reid well-endowed (omg)... There's a reason for all that!!!

Okay, so third Knightly brother, Reid, is completely clueless of himself, is his own biggest critic, and is still so immature. But that's what we love about him. This story is about three friends who lost one another and are having trouble finding their way back to one another to become whole again. Waaay more difficulty that they think.

That Secret Crush is the third book in the Getting Lucky series. It follows the four Knightly brothers struggle to find love after being cursed in New Orleans by a palm reader to have doomed relationships. This one follows Reid, and his best friend, Eric’s twin sister, Eve. Reid is an absolute hot mess. He’s a chef, whose shared restaurant with Eric failed a couple years ago, and he basically has never cooked again, and never really moved on from that failure. He’s catching lobster on a boat, ...more
