Fairy perfect

I do so enjoy Helen Harper. She has a way of crafting characters and situations that make for an entertaining tale - with enough mystery and flirting (yet to read one with all out heat - not saying she hasn’t written them, just haven’t read one yet) to push the plot forward. This, featuring fairy godmother and an entire unknown realm of fairies and other magical creatures, all with jobs, is fascinating and read worthy.

- Well written.
- Love The concept
- The devils advocate....

I usually love listening to Helen Harper books but this one was missing a spark. It was still enjoyable but I just was missing something. When it comes to Helen Harper I love listening to her books. Her characters are sassy, fun and kind of a disaster. I still recommend this series but Slouch Witch would be a better recommendation.
Loved it. Fun and interesting enough to keep me up past my bedtime without me wanting to skip pages.

I want the next one. ;)
I received this book from the author to review, but this review is all my own!

I loved this book - it was funny, exciting with just a touch of romance too! This book follows on really shortly after the events of book #1 in this series, Wishful Thinking. Saffron is a faery godmother and is trying her damnedest to be the best one she can be, but her fellow godmothers are not making it all that easy for her She has, however, made a few friends in the office which make her daily job a bit easier to

Wish List is an amazing story and an awesome follow up to the first book. The characters are phenomenal. The plot is easy to follow but not boring. It kept me interested from beginning to end. There's a bit of romance in the story but it's not overdone, which is something I've come to expect in one of Helen Harper's books. It's also one of the things I love most. The romance is there to make your heart beat just a little in anticipation of what might happen, but it doesn't overshadow the rest of ...more

I didn’t LOVE it

This was a nice story, but in all honesty it was just filler. There was no real advancement here with the exception of the Trolls escalating their revenge plan. No real character development, I was kinda expecting her to hook up with Jasper at the end, and we didn’t learn anything new about her coworkers or this “audit.”
Overall, I was just unimpressed and this time around ALL of the editing errors bothered me. I hope the next book goes back to gripping story telling, otherwise

Harper always does a fabulous job of setting up a mystery villainous plots, adding magic and a snarky humorous lead, and mixing in a dab of romance. This second book has even more mystery than book one and a deal more high-paced action! It introduces more complications from a wish granting standpoint while also building on the fascinating world of faery godmothers that she’s set up and on the overarching questions about the mysterious trolls. I enjoyed Saffron’s fresh no-nonsense dedication and ...more

And entertaining urban fantasy series

And entertaining urban fantasy series. Ferry godmother‘s exist. This is the story about one of them and her adventures in today’s world granting wishes in helping her clients. A very entertaining and nicely written story with at times funny at other times dark but always entertaining. A little bit of sarcastic humor thrown in just for the fun of it. Check it out

Do you ever feel like an author must have read your review because the next book answers all your questions? After book 1, I felt like the series had potential. Now after the second, I’m sure it’s gonna be good. Such an interesting take on fairies!

More magic, mayhem and wish granting. The more poor Saffron tries to help the more things go wrong and the devil’s advocate isn’t helping much. The support from her department is disappointing. Looking forward to reading the next one, it’s going to be awesome.

Help Harper

This book and this series deserves an A+. It’s fun, quirky and just right for a good read . I would hope that all Faery Godmothers everywhere take this book to heart. Thank you Helen Harper.

Feary snuff

There’s something special about curling up with a fantasy novel on a dark, cold evening, and Helen Harper does not disappoint. This absolutely amazing twist of what it is to be a feary godmother is gripping, funny and I can not wait for the third instalment.

Wish List by Helen Harper a five-star read that you can wish upon like a star. This is the second novel in the How to Be The Best Damn Faery Godmother in the World (Or Die Trying) series and it has gone from strength to strength. Helen harper has a great way with writing funny honest heroines who will make you chuckle as well as make you want to roll up your sleeves next to them to throat punch an idiot. Helen Harper also has a way of writing men like the Devil’s Advocate a man with a smirk in ...more
