SOUTHERN DOUBLE CROSS by Caroline Fardig is the third book in the Southern B&B cozy mystery series. The story takes place in Savannah, Georgia and features a wonderful array of characters including Quinn Bellandini and her sister Delilah who help their grandfather run his B&B. Quinn is coordinating a fundraising event when someone is found dead. The brother of one of the Bellandini’s good friends is charged with her murder. Obviously, Quinn and Delilah with help from several others work ...more

Fun and mystery are just two of the reasons I love Cozies. This series is both with a dash of good old Southern charm and some delicious recipes too. I love the whole cast of characters here and the baddie is a mystery until the end, unless you can decipher Uncle Frank's mysterious clues.

Quinn Bellandini has a knack, or some would say misfortune, for stumbling over dead bodies

I am a big fan of Caroline Fardig's Java Jive Mystery series so when I came across this book I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed. Ms. Fardig has a talent of making you think you have the mystery all figured out only to find that you are totally wrong. That was certainly true of this story. When an affluent troublemaker is murdered there are plenty of suspects and lots of clues to sort through but in the end the true murderer will surprise everyone.

Southern Double Cross" is the 3rd instalment in the ”Southern B&B Mystery” series by Caroline Fardig. I read a novella by Caroline in Year-Round Trouble Anthology and enjoyed it so thought I would give this a try. I found the story to be very entertaining and have purchased the previous books in the series.

Even though this is the first book I have read in the series I was able to follow along easily so it can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoyed it and practically read in one sitting

I have enjoyed reading this new series by Caroline Fardig and this latest installment was very entertaining. I love that this series is centered around sisters. They have a great sibling relationship that plays out very naturally. Having a sister that is very close in age allows me to relate to these characters and become engaged and invested in the story. Once again, Quinn is in the wrong place at the right time and there is another dead body. This time she is called upon to help the brother of ...more

This is the third book in the Southern B&B Mystery series by Caroline Fardig.

The Bellandini sisters are back with a third installment of this exciting series.

Quinn and her sister Delilah are catering a big shindig event when the hostess ends up first spattered with the night’s dessert and then ends up dead in her upstairs bedroom. Quinn’s bandmade Pepper’s brother is fingered for the deed since he went along with a robbery scheme. A robbery scheme gone bad, it seems. Since they have

This is the third installment of the Southern B&B Mystery and my second book from the author.
The introductory part of the story gripped me right off the bat, it's a brisk, fast-paced, and entertaining cozy-mystery overall.

I loosely used the term 'cozy-mystery' to describe this book and while it's true to some extent, but I found the overall tone of this book is rather serious and down-to-earth and I put it down to the solid, strong descriptions and relationships amongst the characters as

The Third Southern B&B Mystery

Quinn Bellandini is stressed out. She's put a lot of effort into the fundraiser for the women and children's shelter and wants the event to go smoothly. Things start well enough, aside from minor complaints and one disastrous run in between the hostess and a waiter with raspberry galettes. But when her friend Pepper calls her to come quick it's more than raspberry stains on Magnolia Stiles dress. Pepper's brother found her

From Random House/Alibi comes the latest in the “A Southern B&B Mystery” series from Caroline Fardig.

I like Quinn a lot, she’s cautious, polite, and slightly afraid to speak her mind but she still has courage. She is the ultimate southern lady. I love her sister Delilah, she is spunky, not scared to tell people what she thinks! I love cozies that have a B&B base and this book delivers. The inn sounds like it would be fun to stay in, the food sounds wonderful.

Southern Double Cross is the third book in Caroline Fardig’s Southern B&B Mystery series and is a fun and easy read. This is a clean read, full of humor and Southern charm. Twists and turns, plus a long list of suspects, will keep the reader guessing. The mystery is well plotted, and the likable characters are well developed.

This is the third book in the Southern B&B Mystery series, and though I somehow missed the reading the second book, I had no trouble following this one. I think it could easily be read as a stand-alone for anyone who hasn't read either of the previous books. I really enjoy reading about Quinn and her sister Delilah. They get along well and really complement one another while investigating mysteries and just in life. Quinn's boyfriend Tucker is a Southern gentleman who both worries about and ...more

A friend and her brother are working at a society fundraiser that Quinn has helped to organize, and the horrible hostess is murdered during the event. The sleuthing sisters' best friend's idiot brother has been scapegoated for murder when he chose to get involved with some rather savvy thieves and everyone is in a dither to find the right murderer and reduces the charges on the brother. Lots of disconnected sleuthing, red herrings, misdirection, and still time for a new romance. A fun read!

The Bellandini sisters are back and in full on sleuthing mode. When the brother of their friend Pepper is arrested for the murder of a society matron at an event Quinn is in charge of, three women team up to clear his name.

This series has been fun as we watch Quinn and Delilah Bellandini evolve over the past three books. From Quinn being shy and timid to being a go getter and gaining her assertiveness to Delilah finding love, it’s been a fantastic set up.

This is the third book in the Southern B&B Mystery series by Caroline Fardig. Although there is some continuation in the development of the characters and their relationships, the mystery is self-contained and this book can be read as a standalone story.
