I absolutely adored Holly and the Tiger, the first book in C.P. Stone’s Wolfsden series, and was desperate to dive into book two. Thus, the moment Jason and the Wolf was on my Kindle I dived right into it and completed it in a single sitting.

Although Holly and the Tiger is my favourite of the first two Wolfsden novels – it’s going to take a lot to knock that out of first place, as it was a fantastic start to the series – I had a lot of fun with Jason and the Wolf. I was hooked throughout and could not get enough of it, and when I finished I had much the same feeling as when I finished the first book – that I need more.

Like many paranormal romance series, each book in this series can be read as a standalone novel. Jason and the Wolf contains a complete story, a romance that is complete. However, if you want a little bit more I suggest reading the books in order. Not only is Holly and the Tiger a great read, but elements from the first book continue in this second. A lack of knowledge will not lessen your enjoyment of the story, but you certainly get that little bit more when you watch things develop throughout the series.

I’ll also say you’ll enjoy Jason’s character a wee bit more if you’ve read Holly and the Tiger. He’s a great character, but you have a slightly better understanding of him if you’ve read Holly and the Tiger. Jenna wasn’t the type of character I expected for Jason, which made me love their story even more. I loved the power dynamic between the two, the way things played out in a manner not often seen in paranormal romance, and have high hope we’ll get more snippets of the duo in the future Wolfsden books.

Without a doubt, this was a great second book in the series that has me desperate for book three.

Jason and the Wolf
Wolfsden #2
C.P. Stone

Jason has returned to Wolfden after many years away trying to forget about his past with high hopes that he can get closer to his daughter Holly. Even though they seem to get along wonderfully, he is still nervous that he might lose her again. Then Jenna walks in and he realizes that she, a wolf shifter is his true mate. Can he forget the past and take a chance at being happy again?

Jenna has been gone from Wolfsden for a long time as well and has sworn she will not return unless it's with a mate, but now her Father, alpha of the McFarland pack, is getting too old to handle them. He wants Jenna to return and take over the pack as she is also an alpha, but there's a catch. The pack will only accept her as their alpha if she is mated and all of the men want to be her mate. Then she meets Jason and just can't get him out of her head. So what's a she wolf to do? Does she give in to her feelings or does she follow what everyone else wants?

C.P. Stone is amazing. This book was so hot that it almost burned my hands. There was a great story line and I got right into it. It was great that some of the same characters from the first book were also in this one as I really like these particular characters. I can't wait to see what Ms. Stone comes up with next.

I was lucky enough to get to read this a while ago (thanks C.P Stone) and loved returning to the world that the author has created with her variety of different shifters. Jason is Holly's father and their relationship is so cute. I'm hoping we don't have too long to wait to see what's in store for these characters next

Wanting more

After I finished both books it left me wanting to know more of their story which I don't want to give out to everyone but does Holly have a baby and what does Jenna have a tiger or wolf?

This is the second book in The Wolfsden series and I'd been waiting for it with bated breath. It outdid my expectations! There is a lot of action and a lot of hot sex. I was hooked from the first page on and just couldn't put the book down. And I have decided I want a Jason of my own. He is so sweet and understanding. And reading about a badass female alpha was a wonderful change to the usual shifter stories. I can't recommend this book enough. However, if you want the whole experience of Wolfsden I do suggest you read the first book, Holly and the Tiger, first. It also gives you more about Jason's life prior to meeting Jenna. But even if you don't read that one first this book is a stand-alone and can be enjoyed all by itself. Now I can't wait to get my hands on number three. Hopefully soon. :-)

What an awesome read!!! Jason and the Wolf is book 2 in the The Wolfsden Novels
by CP Stone. I am so loving this series though in a series Jason and the Wolf can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you read Holly and the Tiger to get the full picture. CP Stone has such a creative mind and her stories are so very original. One of the best authors I have read today. This story has suspense, fights, kindness, chases, a loving family, a witch, shifters, proving ones self, not supporting father, old time thinking, and love at first sight. This book has it all and I highly recommend you read this book!

A wolf packs approval

I loved the story from beginning to end. The characters were intriguing and the romance was great. The sexy parts were great. The struggle to end the infertility problem was a great part of the story as well. Kudos to the Author's ability to use family as a great base for this story. Enjoy fellow readers.😇

Another great read. I must say I do not usually read this kind of novel. The author does a great job putting you right there in the story. You can easily put yourself in the character shoes and get a feel for what they are feeling. Great story and I hope there are more to come.

Jason and the Wolf exceeded my expectations. Holly and the Tiger was really good so I figured this one would be the same. But it was better. I love series, I love getting to know the other characters that have been in the previous books as supporting roles. But at times you just get new characters and it leaves you wondering why the others were not in the new book since their lives are linked. So I really liked that even though we got to know Jason and the Wolf more we also saw Holly and the Tiger as well. I really felt that it was important since it was a key part in learning about Jason.

Anyways in this book, the Wolf is facing the challenge of having to in charge of the pack that has an old fashion male dominated mind and mating outside her shifter type. But not only do we see her trying to please her father and deny her feelings for Jason, but you also saw her giving into her feelings as well. But the twist is the other Wolf that pops in and out of the story and you know it just can’t be good, but not enough attend is put on him that you don’t think it could be REALLY bad, till it suddenly becomes really bad. I think deep down I may have wanted to see more of that drama play out but I was happy to read more about Jason and the Wolf’s building the relationship and the struggles they both went and go through. This book was more steamy than the first but it makes sense once you get to know Jason.

Overall I can’t wait for more from this series.

3 1/2 Stars. This is a story about a tiger and a wolf coming together. The H is a fairly laid back tiger though very protective. He has had a troubling past and has a lot of angst about it. The h is the alpha in waiting for the local wolf pack. She's going to have problems just because she's a female and wolves are old fashioned but having a non wolf as a mate could cause real trouble in the pack. Jason is all in from the beginning not believing he could be so lucky. Jenna is conflicted. Disapproval from her father the alpha and worried what it would do to the pack. She had come home believing she would have to mate a wolf for political reasons. There is also a wolf involved who would do anything to mate her then take over the pack. The story is steamy but not all about sex. There is lots of plot. There are editing problems, mostly added words that can be jarring. This is a light fast read with a HEA. I would definitely recommend this if that is what you're looking for. I enjoyed it.

I didn't read the first book in this series, but there was enough info in this book to not make a difference.

Jason is a tiger shifter and had recently been reintroduced to his daughter after the crap his ex-wife did to him. He hasn't had any feelings for anyone (and can't even pleasure himself) since this. He's enjoying spending time with his daughter and never expects to meet his mate.

Jenna had been away from the wolf pack since the 60's. Only reason she even came back was because her father, the alpha, asked her to. She is going to be the new alpha when he steps down. All sorts of wolves want to be her mate so they can lead the pack, even though she will be the alpha. Jenna doesn't want any man to rule her or her life.

Jason doesn't want to be an alpha or lead, but will support Jenna. Jenna's father doesn't like the fact that her fated mate is not a wolf. Determined to do things her way, she mates with her fated mate, Jason.

Lots of action and steamy sex.

After reading and loving the first book in this series (Holly and the Tiger) I was super stoked to read Jason and the Wolf. Jason and Jenna are a super hot couple, and how refreshing to read a romance novel where the woman isn't a total pushover.

Jenna, a strong-willed alpha wolf has returned home to take over as Alpha of her pack. While being a woman makes her pack a little nervous, a few become downright hostile when she makes it clear she has no intention of taking another wolf as a mate. Enter Jason. The father of Holly from the first book, a tiger, and madly in love with Jenna, practically from first sight.

They both have baggage, but also realize how badly they want to work through them to be with each other.

This book has great plot, steamy love scenes, and moves along at a pace that keeps the reader engaged. I can't wait for what CP Stone comes out with next!

Jenna came home because he father demanded that she did because he wanted to step down from being the alpha. So every wolf was telling her that they were her mate because then they would take over her pack, but she kept telling everyone no because they weren't her mate. Then she met Jason a tiger she had a hard time excepting him as she had been told that she could only mate a wolf. Jason also had a time because of what his ex-wife had done to him years ago. Finally Jason and Jenna worked it out that you couldn't fight the mate band and they didn't want to either, Jenna also stayed as alpha. Jason didn't want to be an alpha but he would have her back.

A prodigal wolf shapeshifter finally returns home to take on the mantle of pack leadership. Complicated enough, however this alpha-to-be is a woman. Who runs straight across a lonely shapeshifting man - a tiger who is nursing a shattered heart.

This novel is part shapeshifter, part steamy passion, part action, and all romance. It is a fun, engrossing read from cover to cover.

You don’t *have* to read its predecessor to enjoy this novel(“Holly and the Tiger”), but you might want to.

Disclosure: I was provided an ARC in return for an honest review. I enjoyed the book and I hope you will as well.

Jason and the Wolf (The Wolfsden Novels Book 2)

Jason had wandered for a very long time, not knowing what he was longing for until one day he got a phone call that changed his life. He had found his daughter, and she wanted to see him. Maybe he could finally find what he needed most, his family, maybe he would find even more than he expected! This was a great read and I really enjoyed everything about the story and especially the characters. I will definitely be reading more of this author's works.

This was a well written shifter romance. I loved that Jenna was an Alpha. The storyline was well developed and had action, suspense, and various shifters and paranormal. I loved that the author didn't make this book all about the steamy action. There was a real story here and the steamy action was just a part of the story. I'll definitely be looking for more from this author.

This was a good book I enjoyed all the characters as they all had a vital role in this book. Jason a tiger shifter was lied to for years and thinks hes going to be alone forever. Jenna is an alpha wolf who has been summoned back home and pick a mate but things change when her mate finds her. Unfortunately for Jenna her pack is stuck in the old ways and she is having to decide what the right thing to do.
