Raven and Sameer: This Hood Love Ain’t Ordinary

Rate this book
"You are free to choose but you are not free from the consequences of that choice". Someone should have told Eighteen year old Raven Green that before she made a choice that she would ultimately come to regret.
From a young girl she always knew what she wanted her future to look like. She dreamed of it nightly so when she's handed her dreams on what she thinks is a silver platter she makes sure nothing or no one stands in the way of her accomplishing them... even her loving and doting boyfriend of one year Sameer.

Though Sameer is everything her young heart ever wanted in a man and she could see herself being his loving wife one day when Raven is forced to choose between their relationship or her dreams she lets him go and doesn't look back. But what happens when those dreams that were handed to you on a silver platter turn out not to be what you thought they were, and you realize that you may have made the biggest mistake of your life, and now you want your man back but he's no longer available?

Rakim Howard is Philadelphia's most problematic bad boy. At just nineteen years old, he's young, wild and reckless... on purpose and doesn't care what anyone thinks of it. That is until he crosses path with the complexed around the way but still a College girl Talea Miles and is immediately intrigued with her. However, the feelings are not mutual. Talea is not impressed with his arrogant, abrasive and wild ways and dismisses his advances with a vengeance. Her dismissal doesn't stop Rakim from pursing her, he is set on getting the young beauty to see that there is more to him than what meets the eye and that he is worth getting to know.

In this unordinary hood love story filled with choices, chances, love and regret will Raven who has now come to the realization that she made the wrong decision get a chance to fix it or is it too late. Has her once loving and doting boyfriend moved on to loving and doting over someone else? Will Rakim be able to convince Talea that he is worthy of a chance or will his bad boy ways that he is unwilling to part with ultimately keep her at arms distance?

Another Great Read!!
Y'all gotta read this but read "From The Hood to The Hills" first!
1. I think Raven should've waited & talked to 'Meer b4 she scheduled although neither would have budged on the feelings.
2. Sameer's ultimatum definitely hurt their stiuation
3. I thought he was wrong for breaking up with her 'cause she wanted to abort the baby! She had goals & aspirations and traveling outta the country with a baby inside & all the other things that come with being pregnant would have drained her!
4. At 1st her being mad was an emotion I was expecting, however they were clearly not a couple and he was/is ready to be a father!
5. Hurt people, hurt people she was hurt and wanted him to feel her pain!
6. Talea had every right to want Rakim to show her not just tell her that he loved her, he expected her to be faithful to him & he was mad disrespectful with the BS too, he never got a taste of his own medicine!
7. Hell yeah he was wrong for seeing other women what happened when he thought she was gonna be with someone else?? He shut ish down but he would go and have sex with someone/anyone and she had to suck it up & deal with it!
8. Yeah Rakim clearly had every right to be suspicious of Fatima she had an ulterior motive!
9. Toward the end of the book I did start to feel bad for Fatima she wants what everyone wants to feel wanted and loved
10. Yes she should be spared for her role although Author Kira can be a little brutal, she definitely ain't gonna allow savage azz Ra to let her make it, especially when he realizes she was the connect to his most wanted enemy
11. I personally do not think Talea was using Jordan to "get over" Ra, she genuinely enjoyed his conversation and being around him. He wasn't disrespectful toward her and it wasn't about sex with him!

Don't Sleep On Kira!!!

Yeeessss honey. This story is everything. I have been loving me some Meer since the beginning. I hate that he and Raven went through the things they did, but that is life sometimes. That dang on Rakim.....lawd I love his rude, arrogant behind. Underneath all that thug you definitely have a lover in there. Fatima need..... nevermind. I cannot stand her tail. She dead wrong but anyway. I'm sure she gone get all of what's coming to her. That whole wedding scene took me all the way out. Part 2 is about to be lit asf and I cannot wait.

This was everything I expected and more!

Raven pissed me off. Why do that when you had all the support in the world to help you? I could see if Sameer was a dog and asked for the abortion. The fact that he stuck by her while she had it made me love him even more!! Talea and Rakim are something else together but they make the perfect couple. I loved getting updates on Crane and Summer but I need Summer to learn how to fight already lmao. That ending had me shook. Can't wait for part 2!!

So so good!

I love Sameer♥️ He was really an Raven’s corner. He loved her so much! I understand why Raven made the decisions she made and why they are now in this complicated mess. I feel sorry for Sameer. I was so anxious waiting for the truth to come out with Fatima but I was unprepared for it to come out the way it did. My heart is beating fast and I don’t know what I’m going to do until the next part comes out 😩. Raking and Talea are entertaining.

Honestly, I was tired of Raven and I was going to stop reading this book. I am glad I actually gave it a chance, it turned out to be really good. In my opinion Raven had no right to be upset with Meer. Raven made a decision that affected both of them and although he didn’t agree, he was by her side the whole time. Rakim is my favorite..he is too funny 😂. I love Rakim and Le together. Can’t wait to see what happens next....

Omfgggg

Kira did it again!! I'm glad I kept reading because usually I can't get into 2nd and 3rd person books....This book here was a bit long winded but was definitely worth it!! Man I fell in love with Ra from the jump he is a fool but he is On Point!! Raven seriously took Sameer through it man...I understood her position on wanting to solidify her career before she had a baby but what she did was selfish...She shouldn't have even mentioned the pregnancy to Sameer after her mind was made up because he didn't get a choice in the matter!... I don't like men that hit on and take advantage of females so I feel a lil bit bad for Fatima....Karma is a bish though....That sneaky 😾 ish she was doing to Sameer for Rich got her in the position she's in now! If she really cared about Sameer she would have kept to 100 from the gate.... He is the type of man that would have helped her and her baby!!! But like the saying goes love is blind... I can't wait to see what part 2 will bring!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Read indeed!!

Damn this book was everything. SAMEER is bae and Rakim is a whole fool but he’s bae as well. Raven was entitled to feel hurt but I hated the fact she never included SAMEER in making the decision to take away the one he obviously wanted. She grew up throughout the book because at one point she was petty as hell. Talea got on my damn nerves the whole book she wanted soo much from Rakim when he was chasing her for a whole year and a half. And when he said once she made it official he would act accordingly which he did by changing his number. Fatima is a damn mess it wasn’t until she started to like SAMEER did then she didn’t want to betray him no more girl bye. Kira please don’t have us waiting too long for part 2. Once again you keep me anxious and wanting more.

Fighting for our love ❤

Enjoyed this book so much! This was definitely a page turner. This was my first time reading a book by this author but it definitely won't be my last. This book held my attention from the moment I opened it. The love Raven and Sameer had for each other was so pure and natural. I'm still speechless because I didn't see this being a two be continued. I didn't want this book to come to an end. I will definitely be impatiently waiting for part to to this book. Kira you did an amazing job with this book!

Ooh and let's not forget her side kick best friend Talea she got on my nerves too but Rakim would let her ass know he wasn't the one to play wit unlike his best friend Sameer he let Raven get away with a lot of bullshit...

This series is gonna be lit. Ra didn’t have no reason to feel the way she feel, cause she caused that. But I’m glad she wanted to be with him in the end but I hope my boy come out ight from this. I’m glad my other two babies got their Acct right and became a couple. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

The story moved very well. The couples were developed and the content relevant and relatable. I have to say Rakim was my favorite character because he added some much needed comic relief. While I didn't care for Raven, I could appreciate her indecision at the beginning of the book. The editing job was a good one.

Pretty good!

This book was pretty good! I enjoyed it. It was entertaining and the pace was fast enough to keep me engaged but slow enough to not get lost. I like how the author used flashbacks and also the fact that they weren’t too long and drawn out. The characters were likable and I definitely need to find out what happens next!

Great

Couldn't put this down. Kind of got tired of Raven about that baby. I understand why she was hurt, but even though it's not his, she got rid of hers. Love some Raheem though. Great read.

Whew

Their connection was breathtaking! Their attraction was undeniable! I was so frustrated with Raven! She didn’t have to do what she did with our discussing it first. There was other options. This book was everything! I can’t wait for the rest

From page one I could tell this was going to be a page turner. I was so engrossed in this book, I tried to read at every free minute I had. Raven and Sameer are meant for each other and I pray that this isn’t the end of their story. Anxiously waiting for the next book.

amazing

I love the love between Raven and Sameer. their love was truly tested. A love that can stand that type of test will surely last. Also their friends Talea and Rakim were so funny in there back and forth banter but I could feel the love. A great read!

Very realistic issues

Sameer and Raven has issues problems and circumstances. This book had me questioning my forgiveness levels. I love that in the end real bonds don't break.... This book is a good topic for wine and friends ... Very controversial

Love

These two, I love the love that Sameer has for Rae. For them to be so young it’s so unmatched. Rae DEFINITELY needs to grow up. That hurt is serious. Sometimes you can be selfish without even knowing it.

Love Ain’t Ordinary

Raven got on my nerves. Sameer handled the situation wrong but he didn’t deserve the way Raven was treating him. I don’t know how he didn’t get that Fatima was up to something every time he questioned paternity she would act foolish. I loved me some Ra
