The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.
I don’t believe that.
Not when we’ve lost almost everything

I married Winter knowing what I was walking into.
He married me knowing the same.
We started out full of hope.
Love, family, the club.
We would have it all.
We would do whatever it took to build our family.
We would stand together through everything.
But how does a couple do that when they’ve been ravaged by loss?
We’re about to find out, because the biggest battles we’ve ever faced are breathing down on us and if we don’t cling to each other, we may lose the one thing we swore we never would.
We may lose us.

This is the fourth and final book in my Storm MC Reloaded series. A gritty and raw motorcycle club romance series.

I don't know where to begin with this book. It was everything, more than everything. I don't think I've ever cried so hard over a book. I mean legit, lying in bed, tears streaming down my cheeks. I cannot recommend this book enough, just all the freaking stars.

Winter and Birdie are undeniably the strongest couple that I have ever read. The things that they endure and have endured are just unimaginable. They're real and raw. My heart aches for them and roots for them every step of the way. Their passion for one another is electric and all consuming.

You need to take this journey with Winter and Birdie. Nina's way with words just awaken my very soul, in a breath-taking all consuming kind of way. A story that just begs to be read.

Speechless and a crying mess after reading Battle Hearts. So it took me a couple of days to pull myself together after reading this book but let's just say this book has left me in a book-hangover/funk. This book must be read in order; to understand everything that is going to happen.

First I have to say THANK YOU, Nina Levine, for writing Winter & Bridie’s story and taking your time to make sure this book was 100%. The subject of their story is somewhat personal for me and I am glad someone wrote about the other side of IVF. I’m not going into too many details because believe me I could. But this part of Winter and Bridie's story had me thinking a lot about the decisions I made on this subject.

Now on to Storm MC business.

Like all of the Storm books, this was load full of action and very pissed off bikers. And a shocking moment I didn’t see coming - WHY?!? But it was awesome to see the other chapters of the club make an appearance (Cough, Cough the first Storm men). I had a feeling (blank) was a snake, something just didn’t sit right with me about him.

If you have ever read a Nina Levine book then you know that she can keep you on your toes with these men, Showyou why even though they are alpha men they have a soft spot for their women and family.

BRAVO, on another great series and I, can’t wait to see what you will write next!

So
Hmmmm
WOW
That was …
WOW

These two, Birdie and Winter, maaaaaaaaaan did they not have it easy! Their journey is seriously lacking in rainbows and gumdrops LOL buuuuuuuut, is it really??? Hmmmmmm

Listen, this trilogy is not light. It’s emotionally draining and exhausting. But in a very good way. There wasn’t a moment in this story that I wanted to stop reading. I was rooting for these two through every single hill and valley they navigated together. It’s an outstanding journey that is very well plotted. I have no questions. I’m secure with this story now. I mean I had a lot of doubts during War of Hearts but now I see those were dumb. Nina knows what she’s doing, and she always delivers.

This is an in-your-face explosive type of story. She doesn’t pull any punches so if you have delicate sensibilities then …. *shrug* This isn’t a trigger warning, but it’s a warning that this story is raw and explicit and it will consume you from beginning to end. IT IS GLORIOUS!

Battle Hearts was the third and final book in the Storm MC Reloaded series. It was the conclusion to Winter and Birdie’s story within the Melbourne chapter of the Storm MC.

The story was told within two parts. The first part was in the present (or was that the past?) and the second part fast forwarded seven years.

I hate to say it but I didn’t like Birdie this go around. I won’t elaborate because it was only my opinion and not necessarily the majority, but I struggled with her. I did, however, admire the personal aspect of the storyline. Levine tackled a tough subject with explicit moment by moment detail that it was likely very realistic. Total respect for Levine. With that said, the process was too detailed for my mood and I was ready to move a little quicker with more complexity to the storyline.

As to the MC conflict, that was my favorite part of the book and I would have preferred more detail allotted to this side of the plot during the first part of the book. I enjoyed the MC focus on the last half, but it was difficult to follow with so many moving parts. I did, however, stick with it and it eventually came full circle providing a conclusion.

All in all, this was not my favorite series. However, it may be yours, so it’s worth a read. Levine is still one of my favorite authors and luckily, there are many favorites so far and I have no doubt there will be many more in the future.

The journey for Birdie and Winter is exhausting in this excellent tale as the tensions and emotions they must endure were extreme.
This was a story well worth waiting for. The collar coaster of emotions had me devouring each page and I was totally invested in Winter and Birdie’s intense drama.

Other Storm men and ladies also get some action, which added unexpected gasps and thrilling excitement. Excellent writing, the suspense and character development was palpable, very realistic.
Battle Hearts is a definite must read. I highly recommend this book!

BATTLE HEARTS is Book 3 in this series, there is also a short Christmas novella making it 4 books so far in the series. BATTLE HEARTS is a continuation of Winter and Birdie's story from book 1, Married life, the battles, the heartbreak, the continuation of their love for one another.

This is one couple who went to war, battled with their hearts and came out the other side shouting victory.

Winter and Birdie's story absolutely moved me. A heartwarming and heartbreaking journey.

Two people desperately in love and desperate to share their love with a child. The ups and downs of IVF, Birdie and Winters journey is real, its raw, the feelings of hurt and failure after each IVF treatment fails is tangible, my heart went out to the both of them.

In the mix of all Birdie and Winters problems, the club is under attack from an unknown source and Winter along with King are on the hunt, theirs bloodshed and grief.

BATTLE HEARTS WILL really pull you in all directions.

A whole mixture of emotions are evoked throughout BATTLE HEARTS, excitement, sadness, joy, fear, pity. Winter and Birdie are my favourite couple, a true example of staying together through thick or thin, highs and lows, through ice and fire, they survive it all. I am looking forward to the epilogue being released Valentines day and pray that it a huge and ginormous happy to their already happy ever after.

BATTLE HEARTS IS ONE HELL OF A JOURNEY, brilliantly written and perfectly balanced out by Nina Levine. I am so excited for whatever Nina Levine writes next. A brilliant series and highly recommended.
Told In first person dual pov. Can be read as a stand alone but should be read in series order, book one in this series HURRICANE HEARTS is the start of the Storm MC journey and when Birdie and Winter first get together as a couple, the beginning of their story.

Wow what an intensely emotional roller coaster I went on while reading this book... Winter and Birdie GAH their love for one another is undeniable, it shows in every aspect of their crazy worlds. But even the strongest love is tested when it comes to club life and fertility issues, they have to battle with enemies unknown as well as going through the treacherous trials and tribulations of IVF. It's a long, hard battle, one that neither of them will escape without scars. Nina has again outdone herself writing about this highly emotive and sensitive subject. She's done it in such a way that so wonderfully portrays the harsh realities, the emotional ups and downs of IVF.. I devoured this book in a day, could not put it down!! If you haven't read this series yet, what are you waiting for!! You're definitely in for a treat... all those testosterone filled hot alpha males and their feisty old ladies.

Winter and Birdie's life together was just getting restarted in Hurricane Hearts, so when Battle Hearts starts, they're solidly together. But they don't necessarily stay solid because so much heartbreaking stuff happens to this couple that I love so much. There's club stuff, an enemy that Winter and the Storm crew are battling, and there's personal, heart-rending stuff that no one should ever have to go through, but unfortunately, many do. They went through so much that sometimes I may have wondered (please don't be mad at me Nina!) if they would actually make it through together, intact and happy. I shouldn't have doubted, though, because Nina has never let me down, and Winter and Birdie certainly didn't!

"I'll be by your side every step of the way, and when you're feeling worried or confused or inadequate or anything, I'll be there to do whatever you need me to do to help you believe again. Because we will get through this, Birdie. Together."
Yep, together. That's the theme of this beautiful, heartbreaking love story, and it's the thing I remember most about Winter and Birdie. And now all I'm waiting for is that epilogue promised that's coming in a few weeks, then I'll be good knowing my favorite Nina couple is happy and safe and in love the way they deserve.

Forget Romeo and Juliet, if you want a love story , a deep , intense, heart bursting love story , then look no further then Winter and Birdies in Battle Hearts .
They go through so much heartbreak in this story , their fate, that keeps them tied together , has to work a little harder, but the fact that their breath is only for each other , whatever life throws at them they will stand side by side and face it full on.
With the Storm MC brother and sisterhood standing alongside them they all have to work together to stop an unknown person who wants to wipe them off the face of the earth .
The tension is high , club business keeps the men away from home longer than they want to , and their women are at home worrying but staying strong for their men .
The enemy strikes come without warning , Winter and the Storm MC didn't start this fight ........but they are going to end it .

This story is absolutely amazing , I gladly fell into its pages , and was reluctant to leave when it ended .
A 100% must read

This book is everything!
Nina Levine has bared her heart and soul in this book. An emotional roller coaster that you just have to hang on tight and hope you don’t crash at the end.
Battle Hearts has sent me on an emotionally heart breaking and uplifting journey with Winter and Birdie.
They have endured so much but have been each other’s lifeline with every battle they have faced, but
the emotional storm that has been brewing for nearly eight years will deliver its final devastating blow, a blow that may destroy the foundation that has held strong for so long.
Love, strength, loyalty are the ties that bind these two and the Storm MC together. Through tragedy and devastation comes a lot of soul searching, finding a way back with new perspectives and new hope. Winter and Birdie captured my heart from the start and my love for them has grown with each book.

This is the final book in the Storm MC Reloaded Series and one I guarantee you will fall in love with and devour. Prepare your heart for its greatest battle.

This was a good read and could have been a great read if not for Birdie's whining, so I had to take a star away from this book for that reason AND I kept asking myself why didn't they get a surrogate. But, I would recommend this final book in the RELOADED SERIES. However; I would recommend you read the first two.

Perfection from beginning to end

"This woman is my everything."

It's taken me a good day and a half to gather my emotions and process my thoughts on Nina Levine's latest bad boy ... BATTLE HEARTS. Can I just start by saying "Nina Levine I fucking love you." As you know I'm a huge (and I mean HUGE GIGANTIC MASSIVE) King supporter. I mean that man was wormed his way right into the very depths of my heart, but MY GOD, after reading this duet involving Winter and Birdie, King was very close to being knocked off his perch. Thank you, thank you, thank you Nina for creating two such wonderful characters in Winter and Birdie.

From the outset, Battle Hearts was not going to be an easy read. It is an emotional, heartbreaking, tear producing story, but it is one that had me wholeheartedly invested in every word, description and emotion that Nina wrote. She doesn't hold back on the punches either ... the pain, love, anger, frustration, hope, anguish and the violence ... it's all there in black and white, and it's all needed for the portrayal of Winter and Birdie, as individuals, as a couple and, for Winter, as an MC President. It's what makes these journeys that Nina takes us on so unforgettable. It's human life in its rawest form - real, gritty and painful.

"What are you thinking?"
"That you've never looked more beautiful than you do today."

Battle Hearts is told in two parts, covering two time periods, essential for the telling of what Winter and Birdie are going through. It tells of the unbridled love that they have for one another. Two people who deserve so much more happiness than what life has given them. There is no doubting their love, but is it strong enough to withstand the pressure that they are putting on themselves? The heartache and sorrow that they endure would be enough to tear apart any strong marriage, but they just continue to endure and fight their battles. Their battle to have a family, they both desperately desire, is soul shattering. Disappointment after disappointment continues to threaten the bond between them. Will it eventually crack or will they find their way out of the darkness?

"Promise me you won't ever give up on me."
"Fuck, Birdie, you know that's never going to happen. Fucking never."

Not only is there the battle to have a family, but Winter is also battling with an organisation that is threatening to destroy his beloved Storm. He's facing death and destruction from all sides, yet he continues to be the fierce leader and the tender, loving bad boy we've all come to know and love. The tragedy he faces midway through this story completely ripped apart my heart, but he remained steadfast and strong, even though he was a shattered man inside.

"I love you. Never forget that."
"I never will. And I'll never allow anything to break us apart."
"Thank Fuck."

Birdie continued to amaze me with her strength and her ability to move on with her life, even though she was a woman gutted by everything that life had thrown at her. Thank goodness she was able to talk with Lily and Cleo, two women who really were her support, her strength, her besties, otherwise I don't think that Birdie would have coped at all with what she was experiencing. I loved that it took the most unexpected person to be her saving grace, a light to lead her into a new direction.

Unfortunately this is the last book in the Storm Reloaded Series, but boy what a ride it's been and what a mesmerising way to finish it. Every Storm book has been been a masterpiece, a journey into a world where few will ever travel. All of them emotional, violent, heartbreaking, filled with badasss men and their strong, sexy and sassy women. I wouldn't have it any other way.

BRILLIANT Nina Levine. Birdie and Winter completely broke me, shattered and destroyed me, but somehow by the end of their story I was left with a smile on my face. Oh and what an ending ... you couldn't have done it in a more perfect way.

I received and ARC with no obligation to leave my honest review but I also brought it as this author is amazing!!!
Wowzers....what an emotional roller coaster ride this one is!!!
As we know from Winter and Birdie's first book, there was going to be some very intense issues addressed in their next book....Nina, you should be so damn proud of what you have produce. Fertility issues are very real and happen to so many people and as someone who went through 4 years and 5 attempts of IVF, this book resonated with me on so many levels. It's complicated, messy, raw and at times damn heart/soul breaking but I was lucky enough to have success and have 2 amazing children among the unsuccessful and emotional attempts. The thing with IVF is that the journey can be so different, with success easier for some then others, the issues needed to be overcome can be so varied and complicated. Thank you for your research, in my opinion I feel you captured some of what its like to go through the IVF process with the issues Birdie had, the drugs needed and there effects on your body, the head games you play with yourself, the crushing disappointment from unsuccessful attempts and the effects these things have on your relationship.
Wow, I thought I loved Winter and Birdie before but nope, nothing compares to the love I now feel for them. What an amazing couple who constantly battled to be what the other person needs to get through. So many twist and turns their journey takes, so much is thrown at Winter from his Club as well as dealing with his personal life, what an amazing character he is.
This one took us back into the Storm MC world again, not just Birdie and Winter's relationship and I enjoyed being back among the brothers and their wives, dealing with club business and all that entails. I feel we get some answers and things resolved for now that I am happy with.
Not sure if any more books will be written in this series but have no doubts that if they do I'll be pre-ordering or One-clicking the shit out of them!!!
Overall an emotionally charged addition to the series that I loved!
February 10, 2020
“And remember, sometimes the bravest thing you can do is just show up.”

Epically emotional, sinfully sexual and bone shatteringly haunting this story will linger in the depths of your soul long after you’ve finished reading. Every step forward they take towards their goal is one more step further away from each other but chasing their happiness at whatever cost is the path they have chosen. There are casualties along the way and the grief is a heavy burden to carry but can they find a way back to each other when the dust settles?

Balancing the raw and harsh realities of trying for a baby with the pressure of running an MC, dealing with club business and protecting the club from the ever present threat of Zenith Winter has taken the meaning of control to a whole new level. He appears completely shit down but inside is a raging storm and I totally loved how Birdie could read the subtle nuances that indicated how he was really feeling. This is an emotionally charged read that has huge surges of hope, despair, anguish, love that clash and collide leaving you breathless and dazed. You will cry. I repeat you will cry. You will want to scoop these characters from the pages to try to ease their pain and alleviate their suffering. This story will sweep you into their world so make time to read this all in one go. Honestly it’s a fantastic read that carefully balances plot lines and ties up all the inter weaving threads whilst delivering truly beautifully words that leave you re reading passages over and over again.

A five star “I choose you” read.

OMG, my heart just broke in pieces for this couple, the pain and the stress and the emotional turmoil throughout this story and the series is just relentless. The strength that brings them through not just as individuals but as a couple is amazing, the abiding love they have for each other never doubted. So much is thrown at the club so Winter is torn in two with his attention but remains always available for Birdie even if its at the end of the phone. To say I wanted a happy outcome for them is an understatement, do they get it? you will have to buy the book and read it yourself to find out. Be warned though its is a roller coaster, many lows and some highs in a journey so real in the personal sense. Many couples go through this struggle and until its you its hard to understand the toll it takes on the relationship and the woman's body, my heart goes out to anyone having to deal with these issues. The club is threatened and they all pull together to fight those threats, taking the hits but never giving in. Sadly the last book in this series but boy what a book to end with, intense, suspenseful and exciting so many issues all fighting for page space that just kept me engrossed and often on the edge of my seat. Captivating from start to finish.

I should have listened to the warnings because when Nina Levine promised to give us a new book that tore her up inside as much as it would the readers I didn’t know how much it would affect me!

A dramatic and soul searching story that bled into my soul while I got lost in the emotions of Winter and Birdie, these two have a love that really can withstand everything. The heartbreak, the grief and stress of there lives should have ripped them apart the way It did my heart but they held strong, they loved each other deeper and they grew as one unit willing to get up and stand together no matter the pain they held in there hearts.

I can’t commend Nina more for the in-depth and sensitivity of the subjects she faced head on through this book, she wrote with deep understanding of the pain and consequences of life that scars some of our souls and gave a new light to hope where some find none she showed us the different ways to love and nurture when your in a space in time where you don’t even want to love yourself.

As I was reading Winter and Birdie's story I realised just how perfect the title was for this book. Not only does he have a battle on his hands with club business but the couple have to battle for their love. I never expected the itensity of emotions I would feel because Nina has written a story that could be any one of us. Take away the MC and you have a couple who are facing their toughest battle yet. King will always be my favourite bossy alpha but Winter is fighting him for that title. The love he has for his woman is unmistakable the faith she has in him is undeniable. The club are facing one of their nastiest rivals yet and there are some moments that just hurt so bad. Some of the Storm men and ladies are featured which was great to catch up with them. This isn't so much a rollercoaster more like a battering ram to your emtions. Bravo Nina.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has suspense and heartache.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Hurricane Hearts (Storm MC Reloaded #1)
War of Hearts (Storm MC Reloaded #2)

This is more of Birdie and Winter’s story. This couple has gone through so much, and they just keep taking hits. With the club surrounding them will it be enough to fight through the demons and come out on top? Can they try and hold it together through more loss and destruction? Or are they about to lose the one thing they swore they never would each other?

I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Nina I can't even tell you into words what this story did to me. It makes you think, your heart hurt, you cry, and you fight with the characters along with the story. This is Birdie and Winters story and it's a doozy. Birdie and Winter take us through the trials and tribulations of IVF and what it is like in their life. On top of all of that Winter is trying to keep things sane with the MC and things are about to blow up. While these two try to fight to stay together and live as well as trying to make sure the MC stays upright. I won't say more because I feel this book will blow your mind and you will end up in a book hanger like I did.

This book! Winter and Birdie have not had an easy go in life. Being the MC president is hard enough. Their personal issues have just put added stress on an already difficult life.

The book takes place over several years and wraps up the story line for this branch of the Storm MC. ALL THE FEELS! I am telling you! From tears to smoking hot s3x to anger to peace. You will be sucked in to the story and not want to let go until the very last moment.

I enjoyed the couple of twists this story took. Other familiar Storm faces show up to help in the fight. Loved everything about this book. Great ending to the series!

This book was everything and so worth the wait. I felt for both Birdie and Winter throughout this book. I love Winters alpha male approach, he just loves Birdie so much.
I also cried halfway through this book, and then towards the end. It's so full of emotion and so well written. But then again I don't expect anything less from Nina, she is an incredible writer.
I love all the storm men, especially Nitro and King but I have to say Winter is up there.
Thank you Nina for an incredible book as always.

This was one hard book. But oh so amazing!
What a journey Winter and Birdie went through. It was just incredible how Nina wrote the words that pulled at every emotion you have, so some you didn’t even know you did!
The research that must have gone into this book is huge! I learned so much!
Thank you Nina. Thank you for all the words that made Storm Reloaded a heartbreakingly good series. Battle Hearts was the perfect conclusion and I have no doubt we will see more of them in future books

Club struggles, marriage struggles...this is a completely different look and feel for an MC book. The battles Winter and Birdie endure in this book seem much more real and that made them that much more devastating. This part of Winter and Birdie’s story delves deep into their relationship with the balance between the club, her business, and the heartbreak of so much loss. They prove that their love does conquer all, no matter how much they have to battle along the way!

Battle Hearts is incredible! It is emotionally charged!

The intensity of this book left me breathless!
This book gave me more Winter & Birdie and dear God they know eachother better than they know themselves. How these two didn't explode with all the tension in this story is just mind-boggling.  This isn't a hearts and flowers romance. It is struggles, heartbreak, respect, honesty and passion. It is Real!  I will admit there were times I was gutted reading this book but then I would turn the page and be like "D@mn these two really do love each other." ❤
Nothing comes easy for Winter and Birdie, not just home life but also with the MC. There is chaos and conflicts in the MC and the way the Storm Men handle the complications is compelling. Plus King runs some of the show so you know it is Crazy Good!  Lots of suspense and thrilling escapades. I love this story. Love the feeling of being left emotionally high strung and I especially Love Winter and Birdie and the Storm MC.
