Unable to cope with his grief and feelings of guilt, he turns to booze, but before he hits rock bottom, someone dives into the murky waters to save him.

SEXY, a little kinky, and incredibly tender, this book is one of the best Daddy/boy stories I've read (which is saying a lot as I'm not all that into Daddy kink).

Luc is a gentle Daddy Dom with a successful career in software engineering. He started noticing Kel when Kel was just a teen, but Luc is a good guy, so he never acted on his desires.

Kel very much returns Luc's crush. He comes home from college one weekend to find his parents have gone to their cabin. Then the unthinkable happens,

If you're looking for a traditional (in so much as there is ever only just one example of a particular kink type) Daddy/boy book with lots of spanking for "bad behaviour" coupled with boatloads of loud exclamations during boatloads of steamy sex, then this one won't meet those needs.

If, on the other hand, you're after a beautiful age gap romance which organically finds itself moving into a Daddy/boy nurturing and caring role for two people who are absolutely perfect for each other, this one is

While I kind of liked this, there were some things that I couldn’t get past and made me like this book less.

First of all there were a couple of things that bothered me with the writing.
A couple of examples:

There had been one or two students who’d seemed less rigid than the others, and the three of them had spent a lot of time together.

If Kel was friends with these people wouldn’t he know if it were one or two students?

Luc wiped his forehead with what looked like a bandanna. At some

Lost boy falls for next door neighbor, an older daddy type gay man. Our lost boy comes with alot of baggage, grief, uncertainty and unrealized sexual identity.

I found their beginning to be interesting, believable and romantic.

So what happened? We hit the bedroom. Over and over and over and over. Well, not quite. The bedroom, the bathroom, kitchen and lawn chair. In the pool, out of the pool. I skimmed. Yes, hard to believe but true. Skim, skim, skim.

Nobody is this 'experienced' this fast.

Really nicely done. The story is touching, the sex scenes are hot...and it's just the total package. If you like Daddy stories, this one is a keeper. :)

I LOVED this! Beautiful, sexy as hell and hot as all get out, with a wonderful friendship and relationship between the two MCs.

Kel is only 24, was raised under a very strict and religious roof, and had a fairly sheltered life. He returns home for a weekend at his childhood home when he receives unimaginable news about his parents. Luckily, his neighbor and friend (and teenage crush), Luc Bryant is there, and he is able to help Kel get through the initial shock and help make those necessary
I find it really frustrating when characters preach about being open and honest and having no secrets...and yet they aren’t open and honest and keep a secret for a good portion of the book. That simple lack of communication being the cause of conflict and angst is both annoying and a little boring, if I’m honest.
This didn’t reinvent the wheel but was still a sweet read. Who doesn’t love a good Daddy?

This was a nice read. Both main characters were very likeable. Luc was a solid guy who put Kel's needs first. It was an easy read.

Kel…and his Keeper…sighs. Oh my.

But, before I go on with my, probably somewhat gushing, review, I have to state that as far as I can remember this is the first book I read featuring a Daddy-Boy dynamic. I have on the other hand read and loved quite a few age-gap stories. So while I may not be able to ‘judge’ how well this book works as ‘daddy-kink’, I can honestly say that it is a masterful example of what a May to December (with added, extra-special flavor) romance can be.

You see, Kel’s Keeper

As the gorgeous cover promises, this book gives us a very intimate and sensual portrayal of a loving May/December relationship.
The attraction between Kel and Luc is a longstanding one and simmers beneath the surface of their every interaction. Theirs is very much a slow-burn story with the author taking the time to build a solid foundation for this wonderful couple and to subtly, ever so gradually, set up the daddy/boy dynamic (no ageplay). That aspect of their relationship grows stronger and

I admit daddy kink books are not something I purposefully seek out, but past experience reading books that are considered outside of my regular comport zone taught me that well written books will work even if the topic is far from my usual likes.

The story is erotic, funny and sweet. Luc is so caring and kind, in a way I feel like i want to be cared by him as well. Kel is a very relatable character, faced with awful circumstances and loosing the direction his life was going. They mesh very well

If you like your Daddy kink stories to be all spankings, "yes Daddy" and power exchange from the first few pages then this book is not for you. However if you enjoy a delicious slow burn, and will be hit in the feels by a younger MC in desperate need of someone who can provide feelings of comfort and safety and an older man who wants nothing more than to care and protect his partner then this book is for you.

I'm a very big fan of Kc Wells and i'm also a big fan of Daddy kink...Kel certainly needs a friend in this which he finds in Luc...Luc sure knows how to look after him...This is a slow burn which is perfect considering the circumstances.....Kel is new to everything because of his upbringing and Luc is perfect to show him what it's like being with a man....Luc knows just what to say, what to do to help Kel...If your not a big fan of Daddy Kink don't let it put you off reading as I would say it's ...more

I enjoyed this story of twenty-four-year-old Kel Taylor, home from school for semester break when tragedy strikes his family, and he’s left without his parents. His next-door neighbor, Luc Bryant, steps in to help him, and Kel virtually moves in with the silver fox as he becomes dependent on the older man. Luc is forty-seven, runs a software development business from home, and has a crush on Kel ever since Kel reached maturity. Luc is a caretaker, a loving, giving person so it’s no hardship at ...more

DNF @ 54%. It's taking me forever to read this book, 5 days now and I'm only halfway. I was SO looking forward to it but it's just not working for me. It feels so plodding and clinical. Kel and Luc's conversations feel so scripted and cliche. Everything is so painstakingly laid out that it sucked the joy and spontaneity out of the story. I just didn't feel K.C. Wells in this at all. I'm not sure if this author has ever written an age gap of this magnitude, or Daddy kink for that matter, but it ...more
A heartfelt hurt/comfort romance for the books!

When I heard K.C. Wells was coming out with this book, I pre-ordered it instantly. I love a good nurturing daddy dom and with the bonus neighbor, older friend of the family trope thrown in, I knew it was going to go on my favorites of the year shelf. Kel's Keeper exceeded my expectations.

Kel comes home for the weekend to see his parents, realizing he just missed them as they're headed to a getaway cabin. Kel can catch up with them later right? Only

This was one fantastic story, which I read in one sitting. When KC Wells writes, I have a hard time putting the book down before I’ve finished. She has a way of writing that draws me completely in from the start and won’t let go.
This book is no exception. The characters are amazing. Each on their own has so much depth, so many layers, but together they bring out the best in each other, and they keep growing throughout the story. Kel, who needs to come to terms with his parents’ death and his

Wow. What a story. And one I relate to myself. Although I'm not a daddy or boy lol. I grew up with a father for a preacher and certain things were wrong and blah blah. But like Kel and others, I never saw it that way. God loves us all pure and simple, no matter who you are, what you do or what you believe. It's an incredible story of self discovery and discovery of other kinds of a sexual nature, with the hot crush from next door. But what turns from a friend just being there to a lover and love ...more

I knew before going in that this would not be a porn filled or erotica focused Daddy/boy book and that was fine with me. KC is an author that knows her stuff though and gifts us with a journey of discovery for a troubled baby-gay. Kel is virginal in more than one sense, since his father was a preacher for an evangelical-style but definitely anti-gay religion. With their sudden deaths Luc steps up for the boy he’s known since birth. Eventually he breaks his own rules by starting a

This is one of those books that I wanted to love, and it being a Daddy/boy book, I was sure I would.
Only it fell short for me the further in to the story I came.

A story about a caring Daddy that picks up the pieces of a boy falling apart after a personal tragedy tend to tick all the boxes and Luc was caring. He was a worrier and wanted only the best for Kel and I would have liked more from their interactions than the sexual.

Which brings me to the points which broke it for me, Kel had such hang

Coming Home!

Lusting neighbors, grieving, and sex gymnastics are components of this love story between baby boy Kel & daddy Luc. I enjoyed reading this tale, though it seemed a bit disjointed. The first part was the usual ups & downs of the connection; the second part was the education of Kel. Rating: 3 1/2 ’s

Such a beautifully written story by K.C. Wells.
Kel loses his parents (off page) and finds himself falling into a tailspin as he struggles to cope with his grief and guilt. Neighbour Luc comes to his rescue and takes him under his wings but neither expect (but secretly wishfor) their relationship to develop in the way it does.
There is so much emotion packed into this story, from both characters perspectives. Obviously Kel is going through a lot with the unexpected death of both his parents but

Things can only get better.

Kel's recovering from a devastating loss when his hot neighbor asks him if he wants to move in temporarily to get away from the reminders of what he's lost and the religous symbols he grew up with.

Luc has always wanted a boy of his own, but he's not going to take advantage of Kel after everything that's happened. Kel needs someone to lean on, and he can do that. And even if Kel were interested, Luc has kinks Kel won't understand.

An excellent slow build romance with

I really think it was just me though and I appreciate how they handled the religious aspects of the book. Over all enjoyed this though i skimmed a lot and . Sweet and sexy!

4.5 stars, it is a daddy kink book, yes. Daddy kink is not only about spanking, awards, and sex. Daddy kink is about trust, understanding what your partner need and want. Luc is blossoming with Kel love. Sex is hot. Highly recommend.

The beginning of the story was a little weak for me. But as Luc and Kel got to know each other, the hotness started coming out. Loved the dirty Daddy play.

Sweet, steamy, emotionally charged May-December romance. The love and care is exceptional in this beautifully written story. Luc's focus is really about what is best for Kel and in some ways protecting Kel from even any hint of pressure. I love how Kel grows and works though the guilt of his upbringing.

Luc and Kel are wonderfully crafted characters that you will connect with and will be rooting for to have their HEA. I really enjoyed the journey to discovery for them and how their love had a
