Emerson Mallory never mixes business and pleasure. His eyes might wander but he certainly wouldn’t risk his professional reputation over a tryst. Not even for a silver-haired scoundrel who clearly knows his way around a bedroom and makes his heart race with just one look.

When a flirtatious train ride turns into a weekend in close quarters, Bennet Clarke doesn’t agree that

A short, delightful read about Emerson & Bennet, who have a lovely instant attraction that leads to discovering secrets and a possible eternity of romance. Their host, Mr. Winthrop’s transition is seamless and well written. 10/10 for awesome queer/trans representation. Though short, this book tosses out some important messages about trusting yourself & truly living your life. Loved it!

Talk about a May-December! Hundreds of years old Bennet is attracted to darling Emerson in more than a "can I suck your blood" kind of way. Loved the slow burn between them. Adored the sub-plot. The story was as charming as the two men. A perfect afternoon read.

2.5 rounding up. I think this slender volume was trying to do too many things. I liked the meeting of the MCs, and the trans rep side story, but the main relationship got kind of convoluted (and there was at least one instance where the wrong name was in the text, which made it confusing.)

It was an appropriate read for Halloween, just needed either more focus or more length.

Sweet PNR romance

I was long over due to read a PNR romance I I enjoyed this one. It’s very sweet, even with the vampire. :)

I've been waiting for this book FOREVER and it did not disappoint. "Silver fox vampire" is exactly as good as it sounds.

Not good :\ Tries to do way too much for a novella, needed a much better editor and another 100 pages.

Sort of interesting characters, but there were anachronisms in the language around psychology, and that got to me. Also, very internal plot. Plus for some trans representation, though.

This was short, sweet and a nice read. Loved the insta attraction-chemistry.

So sweet! Fluffy, mushy, hot, and just fun. A refreshing short read about finding a place to fit in a dissatisfying world.

Vampires and Victorian manners, oh my!

A charming but offbeat novella that gives enough story to bring you back to experience another of this author's work. Well done.
