3 stars. I couldn't say that I loved this book, but I was very interested with the story because I have never read anything like this before. I've read a quite handful of books with bdsm practices but nothing like this one at all. I just recently googled what ABDL means, well, it is a sexual fetish involving adults acting like babies and/or wearing diapers or simply called "Adult Baby Diaper Lover." I should have searched about that before putting my hands on this book, because up to now I still couldn't wrap my mind around what the hell just happened.
Set in a Victorian era, this book is basically a story about the training and submission of little Emmie, a lass who was forced to marry a wealthy but mysterious man almost twice her age, being disciplined under the hands of a "nanny" and Lord Burkewood himself. There were lots of cringe-worthy moments in this book, but what bothered me the most was the whole "nanny" thing which didn't sit well with me at all. I may have not loved the book as much, but it still kept me interested throughout. The author's writing was so vivid and compelling and every scene of humiliation was so realistic that I could almost feel the constant beatings Emmie received. I wish the book was longer, though. I was hoping for more character development and chemistry between the hero and heroine. Nonetheless, I look forward to reading other books by this author.

This is an excellent age play novel. It has many of the things that are sort of standard in this genre - great discipline, great descriptive scenes, growing relationship, a nanny, and a good progression. It's harsh enough to please those that want more than a spanking and the author has a way with assuring the descriptive parts really shine. If you like this sort of erotica you must pick this up. I read a lot of kinky and erotic books and this is one of the best ageplay!

It was well written unfortunately the dubious consent, lack of communication or clear understanding prior to the various treatments/lessons ruined the entire story for me. 1.5-2 stars it did nothing but upset me & would've likely caused me to rebel. It's certainly a "dark" romance and there's quite a lot of non-con happening here. I've not read this one before (Previously named something like "Little Emmie" but I've read the other two books in this series. It's hard to get over the non-con part to get to the good parts. I mean, treating an adult like this without any sort of consent or even knowledge is - in itself - a total mindfuck.

I wanted to like this. I expected to like this. I did not, however, like this.
Honestly, I'm not sure what exactly was wrong with it. I love non-con. I love forced babying. I love humiliation. I love diapers. This story has all the elements I love in it, but... I didn't like it at all!
I think the issue here is that this story sits very uncomfortably in an uncanny valley between horror and romance. If it had gone all-in one way or the other, I probably would've loved it. Unfortunately, there's too many horrifying aspects for me to ever get on board with this being a romance... but there's also too many attempts at affection for it to qualify as horror.
I feel like this dude's basically torturing this girl and saying he loves her... and we're just supposed to believe him because he says so, but absolutely nothing he's doing actually backs that up. Like, either torture the girl like the villain you are or treat her like you actually care about her as a human being. This somewhere-in-between-the-two schtick is weird. And kinda creepy.

This is my first time reading anything by Zoe Blake but definitely not the last. She captures the nuances of this genre beautifully and I loved this book. This author definitely deserves to be placed with all the other first class writers who write great historical age play/DS books.

This was a very fun, well-written story in the abdl space. The humiliation and discipline in this book was perfect. I found it very hot and would put it in the top age-play books I have read. Regressing our little lady, Emmie, is forced on her so if that isn't your hot kink, take a pass. I wish their was a tad bit more love between the two main characters, but you could feel it developing. If abdl is your "thang" then this is your book.

I do not like giving any book 3 stars. Even if it's not my type of book. If it is well written I'll still give it 4 stars. But with the way authors are throwing books out there for us to read and its subpar I'm going to start. If you can't take the time to proofread and not repeat yourself (I think some was just copy and pasted) then I'm not giving you above a 3 star. This book would have been a really good book if I could have enjoyed it and not been distracted by all the mistakes. Authors please spend a little bit of money to have someone proofread it. I'm not talking about editors they dont proofread. But get yourself a good proofreader, if you can't afford one slow down and do it yourself. It would definitely make for better reviews.

A nice read. Not very long, but good none the less.
It's set in the victorian era, but apart from the fact that Emmie travels in a carriage in the beginning, then there really is not much else that's specific to the setting. It may as well be contemporary. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but the setting just doesn't play a very big role in the story.
It's heavy on the BDSM aspect. At least compared to other ageplay stories I'd say this one has less love and nurturing in favor of more punishment, forced submission, humiliation and bondage.
But a nice read all in all.

Wow, my first book about the world of Papa-woman/child submission. Oddly erotic but so very strange. Hard to rate, the writing was good, there was somewhat of a story arch, but it was definitely a novella.

This is the story of Emily. She is neglected by her stepfather and he, basically, sells her to Lord Richard Burkewood. Richard knew Emily’s mother and when her mother knew she was dying, asked Richard to care for Emily, even though she knew how Burkewood men treated their wives. They didn’t want wives, they wanted little girls. Emily was to become Richard’s little girl. When she arrived at her new home, she was immediately treated as a little girl and stripped by her nanny. Emily resisted and she was spanked for her trouble. Eventually, she is dressed as a little girl and put down for a nap while immobilized by cuffs in a fetal position. Once awake, she is dressed, brought to her Papa and he explains some of what her life will be like now. He also tells her that she is now Emmie.
This is a pretty harsh age-play story. It is non-consensual and Emmie does get punished pretty severely. But, there is also love developing between them. The punishments that Emmie gets are swift and very harsh. She is also subject to training that includes temperature taking and oral and anal training. Even though I squirmed a few times with the descriptions of the punishments, this is a very well written novella. I give it 5 stars.

What can I say about a book that shocks you and yet, compels you to continue to read. Yes, I should be horrified and I should have dropped my book down never to touch it again, but no, something dark in me forced me to continue way into the night. Humiliating hot!
I wasn't sure about trying this one as I'm not normally into the Victorian era, but as I do like age play and Zoe Blake i thought I would give it a go!
I have to tell you this was hot!! Poor Emmie just didn't understand what was going on in her life! Between the nursery, the nanny and her Papa she soon learned what was expected of her.
Great read. Looking forward to the second one in the series.

Absolutely not...
Another reader described this as being in the uncanny valley between a horror and romance novella and I can't think of a better way to explain all that is wrong with this story. It has too many horrifying elements to consider the relationship between the MCs to be a romance of any kind. Yet, at the same time, there common romance tropes where it feels like the author is pushing the reader to believe in the relationship that it also doesn't work as a horror story either.

This book really veers into actual torture (for example, the h is put to sleep every night in some sort of bag that so completely restrains and constricts her, it's amazing that she can even breathe).

The 1 star goes to the nicely written style - Now the book in total -This was so awful-I have read bodice rippers/role playing/master/slave (that I love ALOT) but this Yuck!
I thought this would have more reviews at 1 start-suprised it does not-other dark romances have been dragged for less and I wondered why not this book-maybe is not as popular as other books in the genre-
Why 1 star- What happened?
Several times poor little Emmie is rape (yes raped-she cried/ said stop/begged/ but nothing stopped or changed the H's mind in torturing his bride-which he sorta purchased at 18
Dresses her like a little gir;l all day every day 24/7 - treats her like a baby -bottle -diapers and all.
By the way this story went I believe poor Emmie by 19 will have severe diaper rash and constant diarrhea
I felt ashamed for Emmie and could not even enjoy the read- how awkward
-The diapers
-The exposure in front of a man who was not her Master- humiliating
-The constant punishments by the H, his friend, the nanny, .... you name it
-The bottle feeding

Also I believe
She will soon die- poor nutrition - her food was awful -

While I have no problem with age play or D/s stories ( wouldn't read them if I did) and I do enjoy Zoe Blakes writing.
In this one I didn't enjoy the treatment of Emily ( Emmie) as much as I would had she been given an explanation of what and how and why. I can get why an explanation wasn't given by her Papa but for me personally it didn't work.
I also felt that we were just getting into Emmie and Papa's relationship and the book ended - needed a bit more I felt.
Will I continue to read Zoe Blake books? - yep I will.

Totally mind fucked. This is my second book i read from this author. Thank god, its longer than Chosen To Be His Little Angeline and more plot.
So not my favorite genre on reading BDSM, but nicely written by the author on daddy-little girl play.
Totally TPE style where the female has has to submit totally to daddy where she has to pee in diaper. I have no problem with natural calling and be sexually with it, but not peeing in diapers like a baby.
So far ok. Nice plot. Nice story.

Speechless, I really don't know what to say.
It is intense and a bit too much for me.
It is not that I hated it but I didn't feel comfortable or even enjoyed. Definitely a different taste than my normal ones..
Since it is a new style I don't know how to rate it. Overall it was consistent with strong characters across so aside from my lack of story true acceptance, it was well written that it kept me going (i guess). So for that it is a 4

I have read alot of daddy, age gap kind of books but this one is my first book.... Where the main actor lead treated the lead actresses as a little child... And I kind of like it the way the girl was so innocent that she don't know what is happening is kind of excited me the way the lead try to protect her like a kid and at the same time punish her for disobedience... So yeh if anyone know this type of other books please recommend it to me..... ☺

Okaayyyy...this one was a little panty soaker! Mmm hmm... This isn't my kink but I second guessed myself there for a minute! 🤔 Maybe it is? Zoe Blake did an excellent job at giving us a peek at this type of d/s lifestyle. At times, my cheeks turned cherry red. 🥵 Although, a short read, it's the perfect length for this story. it ends just before it gets too repetitive. This story was not okay! As someone who is in this kink community, I can attest that this does not happen all the time! Usually there is a consent that must be given, even if it is consent not to consent. This story broke my heart while reading it due to the abuse that was being shown. The little should not have been thrown into the midst without knowing more about it.

Age-play is definitely not my kink, but I don’t shame and decided to try this book on for size. The dominance/submissive aspect appealed to me more than anything, and it was a very entertaining read even if I did gasp in shock horror at some parts.
