Eight cute, cozy and a little sassy holiday romances under one cover! MEOWS AND MISTLETOE is a delightful collection with a touch of magic, some cats with attitude and magic of their own and sweet romance.

Each tale helps ring in the holidays with love and the fantasy that can only happen in Cat’s Paw cove with its quirky inhabitants, catchy business names and characters that are endearing in so many ways.

Jumpstart your holiday reading, meet a time traveling cat, watch a curse be broken by finding true love’s kiss and feel all warm and fuzzy inside when lovers find their happily ever after, even if they might be a faerie or werewolf.

There isn’t one story that did not leave me smiling! Read them back to back or one story at a time to prolong the joy!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Catherine Kean! This is my honest and voluntary review.

Review for Charlotte Redbird, Ghost Coach by Sharon Buchbinder

This was a charming, funny short story about how you can't pick your paranormal family and sometimes weird makes the best friends. Charlotte came to Cat 's Paw Cove to start fresh with her grandmother. We learn that not everything is as it seems. Florida is known as the Weirdness State, so it seems apropos for this story to take place there.

There is suspense, drama and secrets revealed, as Charlotte learns the ins and outs of Cat's Paw Cove Retirement Home. Her gifts get a supernatural upgrade, and soon she's changing lives. I loved this story and how laugh out loud funny it was! Edited flawlessly, it was a dream to read in one sitting. Even if you're not a cat lover, you won't help but get taken away by this small town supernatural story with love at its core message.

This book is a fun and entertaining collection of short stories in and around a little magical town called Cat’s Paw Cove where cats rule. The stories are well written and take place during the Christmas season. Although many characters have magical or supernatural powers, they exhibit many human qualities for which the reader can identify or relate to.
My favorite story was Charlotte Redbird: Ghost Coach, written by Sharon Buchbinder. Charly, the main character, is a life coach who encounters a confrontational meeting with a highly influential client, Meredith Maddox. Mrs. Maddox then begins spreading slanderous rumors about Charly’s work ethics which cause Charly to lose potential clients, resulting in a loss of financial income. Charly then decides to move to Cat’s Paw Cove, Florida, where her grandmother resides in the charmed Feline Fine Retirement home. Here, Charly not only finds new friends with unique and mystical qualities and learns things about her past, but more importantly finds love. The author writes with lots of dialogue between the characters keeping the reader engaged. It’s a story of trying to move on after a career struggle – staring a new career and making new friends - while also learning about your family history, and finding a new and exciting love. The author’s subtle inclusion of feline rule as well as their companionship and love, is an added bonus to pet lovers of all kinds.
The story is so creative and well written. Add to that each character’s magical powers and supernatural capabilities, and how they relate to one another and the overall tale. It is a charming, lighthearted, story with a touch of playful romance, nestled in a magical town with feline love and mischief.
The entire collection is filled with enjoyable and heartwarming tales. It’s the kind of book you sit down with in front a warm fire with a cup of your hot favorite beverage. So treat yourself, or purchase the book for a friend. It would make the perfect holiday gift for anyone on your list!

Welcome to Cat’s Paw Cove. Where magical talking cats make true love happen. Loved these clean romantic stories. Where ghosts, magic, and talking cats bring lovers together. In one story reincarnated lovers finally find the happily ever after that was denied to their ancestors. In several stories ghosts from the past help bring true love to couples who were destined to be together but needed a little help. In another book a woman’s love brings a cursed gnome back to life to be her true love. And in several other stories couples need to go back in time to break curses in order to get their happily ever after. The cats in these stories were funny, smart, sometimes snarky, and great matchmakers. I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Meows and Mistletoe is a multi-author collection that takes place in Cat's Paw Cove. I enjoyed all of these stories, some more than others but they all have different storylines. Reading this anthology is a wonderful way to spend a weekend and get yourself into the holiday spirit.

GNOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS by Kristal Hollis - When an empath who’s failed at every relationship impulsively kisses an enchanted garden gnome, he magically turns into a real man. Together they must find his one true love and end the curse by Christmas or he’ll be forever alone and trapped within his stone prison.
This is a sweet romance with charming characters. The storyline is enjoyable and fun to read.

I kind of don’t even know what to say about this book. I’m left wondering how on Earth did I not know about Cat’s Paw Cove sooner? Because this collection of stories was just so much fun. These sweetly romantic stories filled with cats, kittens, and the paranormal took me through the full spectrum of emotions, from laughter to tears. I need to get my hands on the rest of the series now.

This is a fun book to read. Even though the stories are all paranormal romances set in Cat’s Paw Cove Florida around Christmas time, and they all feature magical cats, there was a wide range of variety in the stories. Ghosts, a retirement home for supernaturals, curses and time travel are just some of the paranormal elements you’ll find in here. My two favorites were Charlotte Redbird: Ghost Hunter by Sharon Buchbinder, and Familiar Blessings by Candace Colt.

Funny, Sweet, and a Mystery.

This review is for CHARLOTTE REDBIRD: GHOST COACH by Sharon Buchbinder.

After spending years building up her life coaching business in Chicago, Charly is blacklisted after she refuses to lie for a client. Jobless and in need of a fresh start, she travels down to her grandmother’s place in the small town of Cat’s Paw Cove, Florida. Her grandmother is living in a retirement community and the residents are… strange. Cats are everywhere and they seem to dominate the landscape. Which is odd, right? Not so much, as Charly is about to find out. With the help of sexy real estate agent Dylan Graham, Charly discovers she’s surrounded by supernatural beings, ghosts, empaths and more. One surprise after another has Charly not sure of anything anymore. Is she going crazy or has she finally found her calling?

I’m a huge paranormal romance reader and when I heard Sharon Buchbinder had a new release, I inhaled it. I connected with Charly right away. She’s going through a lot and in need of some guidance. Enter Charly’s outgoing, spunky grandmother. With humor, sage advice and a little mystery, she nudges Charly in the right direction. The romance between Charly and Dylan is so sweet. My heart swelled reading their attraction and falling in love. The scenes with the cats were pure magic and I loved every minute of it. When I reached the end, I pouted a little because I wanted to stay in Cat’s Paw Cove longer.

Blending cozy mystery, paranormal romance, cats, ghosts in a quaint small town, Meows and Mistletoe is a must-read. Perfect for the holidays!

Meows and Mistletoe is a cute collection of short stories, all taking place around the Christmas holidays. My favorite is Charlotte Redbird, Ghost Detective by Sharon Buchbinder. This lighthearted tale of a young woman who sees ghosts and uses her talents as a life (death) coach to reunite a couple in the hereafter takes you on a romp full of supernatural characters, talking cats and of course one handsome love interest. Buchbinder’s ability to keep you engaged through good writing, a bit of mystery and quirky, imaginative characters make this a delightful, quick read.

In the quaint town of Cat’s Paw Cove in Florida, many citizens possess a little something extra in their lives in the form of magical abilities. There are also lots of fascinating cats residing there, and some of them even have a special capability that helps the humans with whom they come in contact. Some situations are amusing, while others are very emotional. But one factor that can be counted on is every story delights with originality and engaging characters. Holiday themes are also brought to life with festive happenings and lots of colorful images. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this enchanting town, and I cannot wait to see what might possibly take place next. MEOWS AND MISTLETOE continuously entertains with imaginative scenarios. Rating - 4.5 Stars

FAMILIAR BLESSINGS by Candace Colt – Theo Blessing may have chosen to not use her inherited abilities, but when a stranger shows up at her home, she begins to question her decision. When an older friend tasked Ethan Cooper to deliver a letter to a certain woman, the ex-soldier finds himself partnering with a most fascinating female and her cat to right a past wrong. In this very intriguing story, Ethan and Theo come in contact under unusual circumstances, and their lives are never the same. With cleverly imagined details and unanticipated events, “Familiar Blessings” is a fascinating time-travel romance filled with the unexpected. Candace Colt made me want to think the events could really have taken place as depicted.

CHRISTMAS AT MOON MIST MANOR by Kerry Evelyn – Before Matt and Lanie Saunders spend time with her family at Christmas, a short trip has been arranged to visit Cat’s Paw Cove for several days. But a missing kitten plus an unplanned event makes them realize what is truly important. I really enjoyed all the different situations that Matt and Lanie had to face, as each one gave me insight into their inner personalities. Genuine emotional responses can be found all throughout the story, as Kerry Evelyn made every moment so touchingly lifelike. “Christmas at Moon Mist Manor” causes smiles and a good feeling because of so many enjoyable scenes.

CHARLOTTE REDBIRD: GHOST COACH by Sharon Buchbinder – When her dream career does not work out for Charly Redbird because of one unwavering decision, she goes to stay with her grandmother in the hope of getting her life straightened out. Needing a place to live, she gets help from a local realtor named Dylan Graham. But the house that she acquires includes much more than she anticipated. A wide variety of supernatural occurrences can be found in this delightful story cleverly invented by Sharon Buchbinder. I laughed at some of the humorous antics of the cats, while the people who make appearances are all unique. “Charlotte Redbird: Ghost Coach” is very original with constantly imaginative scenes.

GNOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS by Kristal Hollis – Although Lily Pelling’s family members all have a supernatural capability, she seems to have missed out. When a gnome figurine that she purchased turns into a human, she is totally shocked. Nicholas Evans was cursed to be a statue several centuries ago, and he desperately wants to find the woman who can break the spell. Since Lily feels the solution is not within her, she does agree to assist him in finding the single individual who can set him free. Comical scenes are sprinkled throughout the story, while many instances connected to the main couple are extremely emotional. Kristal Hollis interweaves numerous paranormal occurrences to create an enthralling romance overflowing with the supernatural. I found “Gnome for the Holidays” to be highly entertaining and believable.

RING MA BELL by Debra Jess – After her beloved husband Michael was killed many years ago, Dvorah Levi has not tried to move on with her life at all and lives a very lonely existence. But her latest Sherwood cat is determined to see her happy once more, and he is willing to put a plan in motion that could very well have unfortunate consequences. A second chance at love is told with plenty of captivating situations and some heart-pumping adventures. I never knew what would end up happening in “Ring Ma Bell,” as Debra Jess kept me guessing as to how this compelling story would conclude.

PURRFECTLY CHRISTMAS by Mia Ellas – All Sormey wants to do is stay hidden in the human world and not let anyone know she is actually a faerie. But when a creature with deadly intentions makes its way into her community, she and a werewolf named Max team up to make certain the evil being is stopped. With suspenseful danger and plenty of secrets being revealed, I was kept entranced and wanting to discover how everything would play out. Mia Ellas made her couple very fascinating, as both Max and Sormey have supernatural traits yet still portray may qualities that make them seem human. “Purrfectly Christmas” has many emotional moments, where the unpredicted often occurs.

COLLYWOBBLES FOR CHRISTMAS by Sue-Ellen Welfonder – A long-ago tragic event leads to a kitten playing a part in making certain a couple in the present have a much happier outcome. Gaby Moore and James Richard seems to have met by chance, but fate could be behind the circumstances which brought them together. There are so many compelling moments in “Collywobbles for Christmas,” and Sue-Ellen Welfonder makes every situation that arises romantically convincing. I was instantly drawn into the lives of two people who are strangers, yet they are often feel overwhelming sentiments when least expected. The way in which the cats are written into the story is especially interesting.

NEW YEAR’S KISS by Darcy Devlon – Because of a family curse, Griffin Brooks thinks he can never be in a relationship with Trina Lancaster. While she would also like to date the firefighter, she has no idea what it would take to make him change his mind, but she is ready to implement a plan. Two individuals really like one another, but his opinion concerning a curse have kept them apart for years, making them both miserable. Darcy Devlon certainly takes this couple through a series of ups and downs as they try to figure out what the future holds in store for them. I was frequently moved by the reactions of the characters in “New Year’s Kiss,” as they come across as sincerely genuine.

COLLYWOBBLES FOR CHRISTMAS by Sue-Ellen Welfonder - The fate of star-crossed lovers falls into the magical paws of a time-traveling kitten determined to right an ancient wrong and claim the greatest Christmas gift of all - love.

Terrific story of a love that spanned the centuries. It opened as a captured knight is aided in his escape by the daughter of the house, who is also the woman he loves. Treachery and tragedy prevent their reunion and the fulfillment of their love. Centuries later, an adorable kitten brings a modern-day couple together for a much happier ending. I loved both Gaby and James. His nickname of "Sir Galahad" is well-earned, as he is known for his protectiveness - which comes out in a terrific scene with Gaby's ex. I loved the connection they experienced from the beginning, and that it didn't surprise them or freak them out. The continuing revelations of secrets and histories brought them even closer. The ending was fantastic as their story came full circle.

CHARLOTTE REDBIRD, GHOST COACH by Sharon Buchbinder - With the help of hunky real estate agent, Dylan Graham, life coach Charly Redbird and her new kitten have found the perfect home next to a cemetery. Charly gets a new client right away, who happens to be her neighbor—and a ghost. What could possibly go wrong?

Fun story. When Charly and her code of ethics runs up against a rich woman who will stop at nothing to get her daughter into Harvard, Charly's dream career goes down in flames. Determined to get her life back on track, she heads for Cat's Paw Cove and her grandmother. Local real estate agent "Big D" helps her find the perfect home, albeit one that has a few more quirks than she expected.

I loved both Charly and Dylan. Charly has a magical talent that she is unaware of until she gets to the Cove - she doesn't just see ghosts, she can also talk to them. This comes as quite a shock to her when she makes the acquaintance of the former residents of her new home. Once she recovered from that shock, I loved the way that she put her talents as a life coach into helping Marjorie and Cecil find their way back to each other. I ached a little bit for Dylan, who believed that his magical contributions were quite minor. Personally, I think a man with the gift of empathy is pretty darn special. Add in his ability to sense magic in other people, and I thought he was pretty talented. I did feel bad for him when Charly overreacted to his empathy, but fortunately, she moved past that pretty quickly. I liked how he supported her through all of the revelations about her life and family. The sparks between them were intense and amplified by Dylan's talents. I liked how they came together at the end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the assorted residents of the retirement home and their interactions. The scene with the loud music and the hearing aids was hilarious, as was the "courtroom" scene with Charly's father. I also loved the cats, from Charly's kittens to the ones that served as enforcers.

A misfit in her own magical family, Lily frequently found herself at Coquina Castle, pouring out her troubles to the garden gnome figure there. When she discovered the figure for sale at the local antique shop, she bought it and brought it home. She's shocked when the figure turned into a very human, very attractive man. Several centuries earlier, Nick was cursed by a woman he rejected and turned into a stone figure. Now he needs to find the one true love who can break the curse.

There were so many times I wanted to shake Lily. She was so convinced that she was wrong for him that she wouldn't see the truth. After listening to Lily for so many years, Nick is already mostly in love with her, but Lily truly believes that she is not the woman he needs. However, she cares for him and is determined to help him find the right woman. There are some great scenes as she introduces him to various single women, but none of them appeal to Nick.

Things get complicated when they visit the estate where he worked and the scene of his cursing. Evil forces are determined that Lily won't succeed in her mission, and the effect on her is chilling. Nick is determined to show Lily that she is the one for him, but first, he has to save her. The ending was quite exciting as Nick enlisted help from unexpected sources. I was on the edge of my seat until the evil one was defeated and Nick showed Lily that she was his and always had been.

RING MA BELL by Debra Jess - In 1979, Michael Bell fell in love with high seas radio technician Dvorah Levi's voice as she guided him to safety, but their marriage was cut short by a bullet. Forty years later, Dvorah still mourns him. Can a special holiday and a magical Sherwood cat bring him back?

Good second chance story. Dvorah and Michael met during an exciting adventure. Michael, a PI, was kidnapped by drug dealers. Partially rescued by his magical cat, it was Dvorah's voice on the ship's radio that brought him the rest of the way home. Something about her voice touched him deeply and he proposed marriage on the spot. But they'd only been married a week when he was murdered. Dvorah spent the next forty years mourning him, never willing to move on with her life. Over his many incarnations over the years, Michael's cat watched her grieve and worried about her loneliness. Finally, he made a decision to try to change history, knowing it could have unintended consequences.

I loved Goliath and his love for both Michael and Dvorah. His decision was not an easy one. I was glued to the pages as I followed the events leading up to the situation that had resulted in Michael's death. I liked seeing Michael and Dvorah grow closer, their love deepens. I was on the edge of my seat, knowing what was coming and wondering how Goliath would prevent it. The final confrontation was exciting and not what I expected. I ached for Goliath but cheered for the results of his actions. The move back to the present day was heartwarming and showed the results of Goliath's actions.

FAMILIAR BLESSINGS by Candace Colt - A gifted medium, Theo Blessing renounced her magic, tired of being hounded by the greedy dead. Former Army Ranger Ethan Cooper promised to repay a debt to a man whose wise counsel brought him out of war's dark shadow. Ethan appears on Theo's doorstep with a puzzling letter. If what it says is true, the reluctant medium and skeptical Ranger must travel back to 1720 to save a young boy from the gallows.

Good story where the past meets the present. Ethan is a former soldier on a mission to deliver a letter. An elderly neighbor back home helped Ethan deal with the traumas he experienced during the war. In return, Ethan will deliver this letter to the man's granddaughter. Theo has run away from her gift as a medium, tired of being hounded day and night by those who want more than she can give. Ethan's arrival forces her to make some decisions about her future.

Ethan was pretty closed off when he arrived, determined to drop the letter and leave. Once Theo read the letter, she knew she had to keep Ethan with her. The challenge was getting Ethan to believe the truth, and then to agree to help. It was especially interesting when Theo's cat, Wishes, got involved. I enjoyed seeing the resolution of the problem and the steps they had to take to accomplish it. The ending was adorable.

PURRFECTLY CHRISTMAS by Mia Ellas - Faerie Sormey Johnson moved to Cat's Paw Cove to live a quiet life as a human until a sexy werewolf deputy needs her help tracking down a murderous monster. When Sormey offers herself as bait, the cost may be more than she bargained for.

A faerie and a werewolf make an unusual team. Sormey has been hiding out in Cat's Paw Cove for five years, desperate to remain out of the hands of her uncle Oberon. To do that, she has disguised herself as an old woman. That disguise starts to fall apart when she is adopted by one of the town's magical cats. Then her best friend's grandson comes to town, looking for a monster that killed his sister.

There was a connection between Sormey and Max right away, with Max stirring up feelings that she hasn't had for quite a while. It's obvious that Max feels the same about her. With the need to stop the monster becoming more urgent. Sormey offers to act as bait and draw him out. Things get intense when events move faster than expected, and Sormey is in more danger than they had planned for. Help came from an unexpected source, arriving just in time. When it was all over, it was time for Sormey to make some decisions about her future. Would Max be part of that future or would he move on to the next case?

One of the secondary characters was Sormey's brother. I didn't like him at all, especially the way he talked to his sister.

CHRISTMAS AT MOON MIST MANOR by Kerry Evelyn - Lanie and Matt Saunders return to Cat's Paw Cove two years after their first disastrous Christmas there. When a mysterious kitten leads Matt back in time, can he right the wrongs of the past and give his expectant wife the perfect Christmas?

Matt and Lainie have spent more time apart than together during their marriage, thanks to his job as a rescue worker. They have big plans for this Christmas - a few days in Cat's Paw Cove, then up to Maine to spend the holidays with his family. Lainie is very pregnant, and her emotions are all over the place - mostly feelings of guilt over the way she acted during their last trip to the Cove. She is also suffering from some hormone-driven insecurity.

Matt is happy to be home with Lainie. He's nervous about becoming a father and senses that something is bothering Lainie. Matt irritated me a bit because he seemed totally wrapped up in his need to be active in the rescues and oblivious to the idea that Lainie needed him, too.

I liked their arrival at the Cove this time. Lainie is less judgmental about the unique Southern traditions and lack of cold and snow. Though the baby isn't due for a while yet, she is more and more uncomfortable. The help she received did more than relieve her discomfort; it opened her eyes to the uniqueness of the island. There were some interesting situations that brought out new revelations to both Matt and Lainie, and I liked seeing how they dealt with them. The kitten, Pippi was the catalyst to several of them. I liked how both Matt and Lainie learned something new about themselves and each other, things that made their relationship stronger. There was some excitement at the end that had me on the edge of my seat until it was over.

NEW YEAR’S KISS by Darcy Devlon - In order to overcome a family curse, Griffin Brooks, the town's hotshot assistant fire chief, must earn his true love's trust. Trina Lancaster knows she can release Griffin's curse, but will her magical family baggage be a deal-breaker?

True love rescued by a trip through time. Griffin and Trina have a history. They'd been a couple for a short time, but then Griffin broke it off for no apparent reason. He hasn't moved on to another relationship, and Trina is still in love with him. Even the Cove's cats know that they belong together, but until Griffin wishes for something to change, they can't help him.

I ached for Griffin, who still loves Trina but is convinced that the family curse will only cause him to hurt her. Five years after their breakup, Trina has asked for advice from her mother and has a plan. She's nervous about it because it means she'll have to face her biggest fear, but she'll do anything to win her man.

I liked the guidance that Trina and Griffin received before they left - learn what you can but don't do anything that will change history. Neither realized how hard that would be. Finding out the origin of the family curse gave Griffin the courage to fight it. Trina, too, realized that she had a tendency to psych herself out of actions by overthinking them. I loved the surprise message that Griffin found in an old photo album and the effect it had on him. The ending was sweet and showed that love can conquer all.
