Keep faith, in the broad sense of the word. It doesn't have to be a religion, unless you want it to be. It doesn't have to speak about the universe, unless you want it to. It doesn't have to be about anyone but yourself. Keep faith, in other planets and other houses; be it in the face of danger, grief, or while you spread your arms and laugh. Keep faith the same way you ke ...more

And I Entreated by Bogi Takács - 4 stars
CW: Verbal cissexism, danger of physical harm due to an accident
I really enjoyed this story and I found it to be a really strong start to this anthology! I loved the conversation about gender in relation to religion and especially in relation to certain religious practices. Also, the nuance with which nonbinary genders were discussed was really nice to see! There’s a point in the story, where one of the nonbinary characters point

The part of me weirdly obsessed with reading about the relationship between being queer and being religious is excited

I’m not good with anthologies, but oh my god this blew me away. Each of these stories had beautiful emotions and feels behind it, and the themes vary enough to remain interesting and still cohesive.

The intersection of faith and queer identities can be tough. There was definitely some very raw emotions, and I did cry at least once. (There are content warnings before each story, please be aware of any possible triggers.) I needed something like this, though. Because so much of this was so, so hap

(Disclaimer: I received this book from the author. This has not impacted my review which is unbiased and honest.)

Keep Faith is a fabulous anthology featuring stories from authors in all places on their career path. It features stories where queerness and faith can conflict and bloom. Whether it be fantastical, contemporary, or more, Keep Faith is a subtle anthology. With these stories, you are transported to new world. Into new experiences. In conflicts between faith and love, commitment and dut

Y'all I'm crying because I just received this book, and I want to cry. (Please let there be a demisexual character so I won't feel alone)

9/10/19: As of today, it made me cry and there's a demisexual character and an asexual/aromatic character.

I really enjoyed this anthology! I loved how different each of the stories were ― this is the most eclectic anthology I’ve ever read, while still exploring a central theme that I love. I definitely recommend this one!

Individual Reviews:

And I Entreated by Bogi Takacs: 3.75 stars?
Well, this was weird as hell and I respect that. The sci-fi setting felt quite underdeveloped to me ― a lot of world vocab was thrown at me but I left with an extremely vagu

***I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Keep Faith is an anthology of 14 short stories of LGBTQA+ and faith meet. The 14 short stories explore the different meanings of understanding faith while still being queer. Each story takes on a life of its own, and you’ll find yourself wanting more, and not wanting these stories to end.

The first thing I really enjoyed was being introduced to so many different authors. There were short stories in here that I probably would

In the process of writing a lengthier review for this, because holy shit.

I think this may be the first anthology I've ever read where I liked every single piece. Well done to all the authors!
