Recommends it for: Anyone. Especially if you want to know about Haiti's history and culture.

This book was an excellent source of comprehensive history of Haiti from the beginning to its recent times. I found it very interesting and quite short but informative. Especially when I picked it up from the library to help my Gordon out with his assignment & oral report.

I would recommend this book to anyone. So I give it two thumbs up.

Though obviously written in the late 1980s (there were even references to a divided Germany!), this little book still contains a good amount of historical and cultural information relevant to Haiti today.
