Anyone who is a consumer in debt should run out and get this book. However, because there were improvements to debtor's rights during the bush administration, I recommend that you get an updated version if it exists (this one is 1996). While all of the information in this book is now on the internet, it is not available at one site. You could spend a considerable amount of time in research and compiling. This little book is a great empowerment even if all you owe is $500! It will help you to understand your basic rights, which are many, and will point you in the right direction for additional assistance. ;)
