I loved this so much! It makes me smile. ^_^ The writing is stunning, as always, and the stories are so full of heart! I loved getting these sort-of-prologues about some of my favorite characters. :D

Four bite-sized short stories, perfect for your first taste of the enchanting almost-steampunk world of the Celestial Isles--or to go a little ways toward helping appease the hunger for another book if you've experienced The Electrical Menagerie and are starving for more tales of this aut

This is an absolutely precious small collection of short stories that take place before the events of The Electrical Menagerie. True to Mollie E. Reeder, each story is emotionally moving, so full of charm and heart, and utterly beautiful. It was a DELIGHT getting a look at the cast of TEM during their early days. A couple of the stories nearly moved me to tears.

If you love The Electrical Menagerie and want more of those amazing characters, this is a TREAT. Truly a gift to us TEM fans

This is a fantastic group of shorts about one of my (brand new) fave sets of characters. I actually read the short story about Carthage and Dominic before I'd ever picked up the full-length novel, The Electrical Menagerie. Needless to say, I needed the book in my hands as soon as I met with the short story's final word.

Essentially, if you don't want to be introduced to a gripping, imaginative world populated by compelling, winsome characters, this collection of short stories is not for you. ...more

This is a quartet of short stories introducing the four main characters from The Electrical Menagerie. While they'd been released individually before, it's great to have them all together in one book now, making them easy to access for new readers (and older fans too!). They are very short stories to read and so make for perfect reading while on meal breaks, commuting etc. So if you're new to the world of The Electrical Menagerie, or just want to find out more about its main characters, grab thi ...more

Beautiful and whimsical! Wonderful little glimpses into the world and characters of The Electrical Menagerie. The writing is imaginative yet to-the-point and this collection is a real pleasure to read.

Clean read! Nothing offensive or inappropriate at all, safe for kids.

Mollie’s first job was with a major theme park, where she operated a roller coaster, fixed parade floats, and helped Scooby-Doo put on his head. Now, Mollie is a movie producer and the author of character-driven science fiction/fantasy novels for adults who never outgrew imagination. Her favorite things include Jesus, dinosaurs, and telling cinematic stories that blend glitter and grit.
