EVER WONDER HOWleaves change colors, flowers bloom, and ladybugs get their dots? All these nature-related wonders are the work of fairies! Every fairy in Pixie Hollow has a special talent. But Tinker Bell isn’t so sure she’s happy with hers. Sure, using her special tinkering hammer to create her contraptions is fun, but she’d rather travel to the mainland to help with the change of seasons. Based on the Tinker Bell direct-to-DVD movie, this junior novelization retells the whole wonderful story of Tinker Bell’s realization that everyone has something important to contribute—even a tinker fairy! Plus, there are eight pages of full-color images taken directly from the film.
As a child, I was never interested in Tinkerbell... As an adult, I think it's cute and I can see why little girls would love it. 🧚
“A fairy's work is much more than at first it might appear, suppose your broken clock ticks so it happens in a year, A chance you find a broken toy you loved or jingling bells you hear, it all means that one special fairy might be near.”
Things Rebekah loved: “I loved when Tinker Bell was born at the very start of the book. At the very, very start of the book, the queen of the fairies was on her royal balcony, but she was doing the same thing at the end, also.”
I've always been fond of Tinker Bell. In fact, I went through an obsession when I was younger, and only wanted Tinker Bell items. I had Tinker Bell sheets, wrapping paper for Christmas, a water bottle carrier, books, etc. It was quite fun to come back to it, and read the novelization of the movie. Although it didn't exactly have every detail and scene from the movie, I still enjoyed it. It was written simply, and would be an easy read for a younger reader if magic and fairies would be something that they'd like. I'm still shipping Terrence x Tinker Bell after reading this xD
Every fairy in pixie hollow has a special talent, ranging anywhere from changing colors to giving ladybugs their dots. Tinkerbell, on the other hand, wishes she could have a different talent. She has fun making contraptions but she would much rather have a talent that allows her to contribute to the changing of the seasons. Will Tinkerbells wish come true or will she continue making contraptions?
This book falls under the category of fantasy because it takes place in a fantasy world. In real life there aren't fairies that have talents that those in Pixie Hollow have. There are also magic elements that set it aside from normal books, the magic is used to make imaginary objects. Overall this is a good book for children to read, it will help expand their imagination.
Giving the book a 4 out of 5 stars, but i give a 5 stars for the content, love the book. I know the book is for kids but i just love Tinkerbell since i was little. If anyone saw the last movie you will know that she has a sister, well in this book gives away the fact that from the baby laughter 2 fairies being created. Also some other details about all the fairies what they do, and the animals how they eat. Of course they could not let out Vidia and her being jealous about the fact that she wasn't the "popular" one anymore. For a child this book is amazing (for me hihi, awesome, love the children books because they are so nice and well written ). Yes i read this book and watched the movie, if i did it you can do it too, and trust me you will feel like a kid again.
This is the story of the movie, including some of the artwork from the movie. The artwork is interesting since it's straight from the movie. It's obviously CGI type of work, and not the old-fashioned hand-drawn type of work. I think the artwork varies from being really good and cute, to just plain not looking right, especially with Tinker Bell and the fairies. The art just loses precision and believability when it's not hand-done.
The story itself covers Tinker Bell's life from its very start on to the point where she finds her place as a tinker fairy, but there's a lot of problems she has to face first. A good written story.
Tinkerbell books are books that every young girl will enjoy. The magic and pixie dust and fairies that make these stories so interesting are always a favorite. I would not use this as a read aloud in my classroom, but I would definitely make it available for my students to enjoy at the reading corner. This book is all about the fairies changing seasons, so it could be used while talking about the changing seasons in class. I give this book a 4 out of 5.
Excellent early reader. Unlike so many others, this book actually has a good story. I loved it and my reading pal loved it too. I think I will be using this book again when the library celebrates "Fairy Day" this year.
