Understanding the Sacraments Today
The overwhelming positive response to Father Mick's leaflets explaining the sacraments prompted the publication of this book, which gathers the material from those leaflets and rounds it into a comprehensive whole easily understood by an average member of the faith community. Although he presents more detail in this book than was possible in the leaflet series, Father Mick follows the same format, beginning with a short historical review, moving on to an examination of the present rite, and concluding with suggestions for possible future revisions in the form of the sacraments. Classes or study groups will find the questions at the end of each chapter extremely helpful. This book is a useful text for high school, college, and adult education classes.

For my Ecclesiology course. I remember it being a bit dry and from the more liberal and historical perspective rather than providing the theology behind the sacraments. Not the approach I'd like to take.

A fascinating review of what the 7 sacraments are including brief but informative coverage of their historical use and development within the church including their current forms and why they're important.

Excellent overview of the sacraments
As a lay minister candidate, this book explained both the history and at time the future of each of the Church’s seven sacraments. It helped me better worship together with the community, and evangelize as we go out into the community.

For a class. Easy to follow, but very insightful/thought provoking.
