This little, informative book, which I found in a little free library (on long island of all places), was a welcome companion on my all too brief conference trip to albuquerque. One thing I can say is that the art of pueblo (“town” or “people” in spanish) pottery is striking in its natural beauty, which has also been infused into the architecture in a way I found immensely pleasing and calming. My thirst for a larger drink of this culture has been piqued. Anyone up for a road trip?

An excellent overview of Pueblo pottery styles along with the materials used in their creation and painting. Defines the styles of the various southwest Pueblos and provides a smattering of their histories.
