I really enjoyed the tone of this book. It's probably not the best for those unfamiliar with the Georgian/Regency period, since, rather than a straightforward, linear history, it looks at George IV's life through the lens of the culture he was influenced by and influenced in turn. Which is interesting in its own right, sure, but what made this book for me was Parissien's clear exasperation with the king.
