Ethan Blade—assassin extraordinaire, cold-blooded killer, heartless monster, and . . . retiree?

I’ve spent my whole life dealing in death, efficiently eliminating targets while fighting to preserve a sense of self and morality, to avoid becoming as detached and ruthless as my siblings. I thought I had succeeded. Then I met Jack Reardon—contrary, handsome, forgiving, and far

I beta-read this, but I'll be re-reading because it's Ethan. And also I know the manuscript has changed since I read it.

It was great then, I can't wait to see how it shaped up!

Dealing In Death is the latest book to come out of L.J. Hayward’s brilliant mind. It’s Ethan’s POV of what happened during the events of Why The Devil Stalks Death, but it’s also so much more than that. We get to see Ethan vulnerable and it breaks my heart. Who knew a man like Ethan Blade was such a cinnamon roll? Jack’s starting to figure it out, but the man behind the mask is so much more than Jack will ever suspect and what I was expecting.

When I found out we were getting a whole book in Eth

Wow so I would die and kill for Ethan and also I would pet him. Jack, you should pet him more, okay?

This was spectacular because we got the entire Ethan POV for what went down in book two. It shows how he loves Jack and why he had to make the decisions that went down in the last book. I was actually quite emotional over many of Ethan’s thoughts and actions and his interactions with his siblings. Seriously emotional tbh.

Anna Zabo calls Ethan a cinnamon roll assassin, and they could not be more

L.J. Hayward has been telling stories for most of her life, a good deal of them of the tall variety. She loves reading but doesn’t seem to have enough time between wanting to be a more disciplined writer, being the actual erratic writer she is, and working for dollars in a dungeon laboratory. She also lives on the Gold Coast in Queensland, but rarely sees a beach and can’t surf, though she thinks ...more
