This book actually made me like Heidi more. I haven’t ever loved her...but she grew on me here and I loved her and Murphy in this one.

And I always love to hang out with my LOKI family.

I could have used more Wrath and Trinity...but it wasn’t their story. And I can’t wait for poor Grinder’s book. Until then, I feel like going back and starting from the beginning again...

"We're two psychos in love, you and me."

White Lies is the 15th book in the Lost Kings MC Series! With every book release, I find myself falling more in love with these characters and the world in which they live. After heartbreak and triumphs, Heidi and Murphy are finally ready to live out their happy ever after. But before these two beloved characters can find their future, they must find the strength together to overcome the demons of their past!

description
"Every muscle in her body clenches tight, stealing the last bit of air in my lungs."
description

Told in multiple POV, White Lies is another beautiful blend of complex characters, action, passion, romance, and LOKI LOVE! The pacing of this read is fast as Heidi and Murphy experience big changes in their world. As the plot unfolds, the love and faith they have in each other (and their club) enables them to draw closer together. Heidi and Murphy could not be better matched and after everything they have been through, I could not be more excited to dive back into their world and experience more Murphy/Heidi love!
"You can always tell me anything. Always."
Overall, Autumn Jones Lake never fails to amaze me with her colorful cast of characters and the unfailing love they have for each other. Reading a LOKI book is like coming home. The passion, romance, and MC action will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read. Although you can always dive into a LOKI book blind, I highly recommend reading the entire series. This is one series that I NEVER WANT TO END!!!! Bravo, Ms. Lake! Bravo!

5 Murphy and Heidi Stars

Blake O'Callaghan just stole a piece of my kindle heart and I don't think I am getting it back any time soon. Oh my goodness Mrs Jones Lake , you put me through the emotional roller coaster with this story and I loved every minute.

Heidi and Murphy have taken a long and at times really difficult road to get to their happy ending and just when it seems in sight trouble comes knocking at their door. You have to have read previous books to really follow this story. There are a lot of characters emerging in this book who are clearly going to be important in the future. The Lost Kings are going through a lot of change and the club is rolling with it but equally that camaraderie is still there and it was great to see all the LOKI guys and women that make the LOKI world so addictive to a reader. I am itching to read more.

There is some violence in this book but it is not as dark and gritty as some M.C. reads.
AJL writes romance like no other and this book was brimming with it. Heidi really blossomed in this story - the girl is badass and loyal to the nth degree and I have to say there is one scene where she had me in tears with the words she had to say about her 'Uncles' in LOKI.

HEA? Yes - great epilogue.
Cheating? Hell no - these two are all about each other.

Lost Kings book 15 and I finally got my Murphy and Heidi wedding. I had to wait for it but the wait was worth it. Murphy and Heidi are just so damn cute together. He’s all male and alpha around his woman but when his daughter is near he’s a teddy bear. Just like Murphy Heidi has grown up around the MC so she knows the rules and environment. In White Lies I got to see a new side to Heidi. A badass side. She kicks ass and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Just like Murphy she’s very protective of the people she loves.

As always the LOKI members delivers humor and busts each other’s balls as only these guys can. Before the wedding there’s some action that results in the gang riling together to support one of their own. I would have appreciated more interaction with some of the “old” and original LOKI members cause they play an important role in Heidi and Murphy’s life.
There’s also a few pleasant surprises which bodes well for the upcoming books in this series. Still plenty of story left to tell and I’m still excited for more.

4 Little Hammer Stars

This basically is the story of Heidi and Murphy getting their wedding day.

The banter between the boys is hilarious as always.

I did feel until around chapter 7 that I wasn't sure where the book plot was headed.
The blurb about lies so it's not hard to see what the issues will be but the heroine having an issue at school was a bit infuriating. 'just tell him' why didn't she speak to her man about the creepy guy.

There was club politics plus the car racing scene so I felt the author was setting things up to keep the series going or set up a spin off.

It's not the best I've read in the series but if you are following it you won't want to miss it.

No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No cheating.
A few clues to possible future storylines.

HFN.

Heidi's entire "white lie" felt very contrived and silly. As much as I enjoy these two it felt like their storyline could have been moved along as a subplot to another couple's novel. (Like say the unnecessarily stretched out trilogy of Z's??) I never regret revisiting LOKI but the past four books now have just been meh for me. It seems like the author is stuck in a rut of just having her core characters banter back and forth with each other for a couple hundred pages with a weak plot as an afterthought.

Another sexy, humorous, angst-filled installment in the Lost Kings world!

*****SPOILERS*****

Loved how no matter how many obstacles Heidi & Murphy encountered on the road to their wedding happily ever after, they stayed strong & loyal to one another. If Heidi needed support, Murphy was always there to help her figure things out. If Murphy needed someone at his back, Heidi was there... with her hammer. The love they shared & the steamy times they had... *le sigh* I definitely think they are a standout LOKI power couple & am pleased as punch that they were back in the spotlight again!

NOT a fan of what went down with the Axel thing though. I hate when people trash on a dead character. Accusing him of cheating when he wasn't even there to defend himself... it just felt like it was done to lessen Heidi's guilt & tidy things up.

So frustrated that Teller & Rock's secret hasn't been divulged to everyone yet. I get that this book was all about Heidi & Murphy but I still think it would've fit in perfectly in this story. Now it's just gonna be dragged out for forever... Ugh. And does this mean that there's gonna be another Teller book..? #OnlyTimeWillTell

That epilogue... I liked getting Alexa's POV & hints of the future for other characters (because happy baby news is ALWAYS exciting) but I didn't like how it ended so abruptly.

Looking forward to more books in this series but I'm disappointed that Dex isn't up next. I'm just not feeling the whole Rooster/Shelby thing. *sigh*

Ok read

Love Murphy, Heidi is a badass with her hammer. but whinny. Her I'm not good enough or disappointing everyone is getting old. Not sure where the lies come in. Nothing I read was that big of a deal. Seems Hope and Rock have Alexa more than Heidi does. As always the banter between the guys keep this series going. If it wasn't for that would have probably stopped reading the series.

I love every book in this series, and this one is no exception. I love how the story is about Murphy and Heidi but we also get all of the LOKI MC. I can't wait for the next book.

This is mostly Murphy and Heidi's book. Heidi has been going through hell with some jerk in her class. One of those entitled jerks. Thinks he can bully and get his way or pay someone off.... yeah, one of those.

Heidi is running herself thin. She has school, working with Trinity with her business, planning a wedding and most importantly... being a good Mother. That doesn't include her relationship with Murphy.

With Z no longer around the club needs to elect a new VP. Can Murphy do the job and does he even want it?

All of this and a lot more in this book.... time to get busy with the next book

Hand on heart, this series blows my mind every single time!

This is the long-awaited Heidi and Murphy wedding book and oh my word, it was worth the wait 😍

As expected, it isn't plain sailing! Infact, it's touch and go at one stage - my poor 'lil heart was skipping beats!

I don't really know what else I can say, I can't say anything about what happens here because that would be evil!

But I could talk all day about the different people!...
About how Murphy is such a gentle soul, he could kill you as quick as look at you but he also has so much compassion in him that he'd bring you to your knees!
Or about how Heidi makes me emotional because she's all grown up now! We all know she had to grow up real quick when she was still a child, but she's a proper young badass lady now and I feel proud of her!
Or how Rock and Hope really are the 'mum and dad' (don't let them hear you say that tho!!)
Or Teller and Charolette really are perfect together and I love that Teller is so close to Heidi and Murphy, it's true that blood doesn't make you family!
Or Z - oh my word Z...Z is just 🥰🥰🥰 He'll always be my number 1! #ZsMine.
Everyone makes an appearance in this book - which is another reason I love this series, it's not just about one couple or even a few of them, this is a family and I love that we get to catch up with them all.

I have read hundreds of books, probably close to a thousand by now and of course I have my favourites, everybody does!
But some are special, they stand out, you feel all the feels, and Autumn's books are right up top for me....she has a way of writing that brings the books to life, you don't just read a story, the characters are brought to life, you feel what they're feeling, your in their world, it's truly amazing and I thank you Autumn for sharing your genius mind with me and everyone else who reads your books!

Five stars is nowhere enough!

I voluntarily and happily and excitingly! received an arc from the author and this my honest review 😊

I can’t even begin to start with how much I love Heidi and Murphy. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book for forever! I have to say, I didn’t expect a lot of things that happened in this book and that’s one of the reasons why I love Autumn. She always keeps us guessing and doesn’t always go down the most obvious path.
In every book you can tell how much Heidi has continues to grow as a mother, a sister and a girlfriend but she has really matured to a full woman in this book. She will move heaven and earth to protect and support her family. She is so strong and absolutely the most perfect woman to hold the position of Murphy’s old lady. She literally kicked a** in this book. Murphy is such a loyal man and I’ve just grown to love him so much throughout this series. He absolutely adores Heidi and Alexa and there’s not a thing he wouldn’t do for them. He and Heidi have built such a strong relationship and considering everything they have gone through, they really deserved to be happy with each other. They finally got their wedding, though slightly unconventional, it didn’t matter. They just wanted to finally be the family they both wanted to be for so long.

I’m very excited to read more about the support club. I think it’s a great idea for LOKI and a great way to bring in more loyal guys to have their backs. I definitely enjoyed Eraser and Ella and would love to see more of them. I feel that there is also a very interesting story to be told between Molly and Griff too! Autumn continues to build such great characters it’s hard not to love them all and continuously want to know more.

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

I’m so happy with Murphy’s new position. He 100% deserves it and I know he and Heidi will make everyone proud with their new roles.

I absolutely loved this book and just like usual, Autumn had me on the edge of my seat. I was angry at times, I laughed a lot, I cried more than I probably should but that’s always how I know it was a good book. One that I don’t just read but one that I feel. Autumn did it again with this one. No surprise there!

Not one of my favorites... I've never been a fan of Murphy and Heidi to begin with, so I bought & read the book because of the amazing story-telling skills of the author and no other reason. And she is a great writer - she weaves different plots and characters together beautifully, titillating us with possibilities or warming our hearts with the beautiful relationships of the characters at every turn of the page.

SPOILERS AHEAD...

But the plot point I hated was the Axel bit, with the supposed 'affair'. At the end of the day, he was just a kid, a kid barely older than Heidi in fact - a teen who prospected for an MC that didn't patch him in in the end, had an older, more mature member who hated him, who married a girl who loved someone else more, had a child with that girl, tried to make the marriage work, and couldn't. Murphy and Heidi weren't blameless - I recall them kissing and making out when Heidi was still in a relationship with Axel; I recall Murphy going out of his way to make life difficult for Axel in the MC; so all I see from this Axel plot point is just to make Heidi feel better about herself and let go of her guilt.

At the end of the day - having an affair is not the worse thing compared to what many older members of the MC have done. We gave a pass to Z when he screwed around because 'Lily left him', forgetting that he did follow Lily to California in the first place but pride stopped him from going up to her doorstep to ask why she left. We gave a pass to Heidi for constantly running after Murphy even when she was dating Axel. So I really hope this is the end of the 'let's make Axel bad' moments - because at the end of the day, really, he never stood a chance the moment Heidi turned 18 right?

BLOWN AWAY!

White Lies is brilliant!
What I expected to happen didn't. The lies I thought would be the central focus of this book were not because this author is amazing and always keeps us guessing!
Another exceptional read and perfect addition to this series. The MC world and Lost Kings MC territory is undergoing more major shifts and changes. Can Murphy handle his new role and help shape the future of his club?
Heidi has always been one of my favorite characters but I love her even more after the grace and strength she showed throughout White Lies. Most importantly, she is continues to be a badass!
Murphy is everything I have always loved and more. These two are so perfect for each other.
I was so happy to catch up with Teller and Charlotte, Z and Lilly, Rock and Hope, Wrath and Trinity, as well as Dex, and some info on Rooster. We definitely had some light shed on what's been going on in Teller's world and find out how Z is handling his new job.
We also have a more serious introduction to some fantastic side characters we've met in other books (Bring on Griff and Molly's book please!) and meet some new people.
I loved every second!
Now I need to go read it again!

Nice Addition To The Lost Kings Series...

It was nice to be with Murphy and Heidi again. They certainly have matured since Slow Burn!!

The banter between the Men is always funny to read. Their love for one another is amazing to read about.

As always the epilogue's are fantastic and this one is no different.

While I adore Murphy I’ve never been a big fan of Heidi. But this book made me like her a little more. She’ll never be my favourite of the club wives. But she’s growing on me.
The keeping secrets bothered me as well. Not my favourite book of the series but still a good read.

The beautiful Lost King Saga Continues! White Lies is another great story in the collection!
White Lies is a well-written captivating story! One of the many things I like about AJL’s writing and this series is that I cannot ever predict what direction she will take the story line. Just when I think I have it figured out, it changes. White Lies does the same. It starts out making us think it is going to be a sweet story about the wedding of Murphy and “Little Hammer” Heidi, but we find the road isn’t paved in bliss. Nope! Club business intercedes and Heidi finds herself being black mailed. All of which alter their course. But it doesn’t curb the depths of their love. Cue the swoon! And the steam! Holy hotness!
Murphy wants nothing more than to marry Heidi. He’s definitely a character that has proven to be patient. Waiting through the years while Heidi grew up and years with Axel. All the while, his love for her has never faltered.
“Heidi smiles at me from across the room. The smile that’s owned my heart for as long as I can remember.”
Both of them are done waiting and ready to become a family.
“The roots, family, and stability I’ve longed for my entire life are within reach.”
Until it’s not. Trouble brews. These two will encounter things they don’t want, nor do they think they are ready to handle. But we already know what bad a$$e$ these two are, so it makes for an interesting journey!!
I like that we get to see the softer, more sensitive side of Murphy and that he proudly wears his heart on his sleeve in this book. The thought he put into getting Heidi the perfect graduation present and his continuous thoughts of how he can be there for her on a daily basis are double swoon worthy!!
Heidi understands the weight and pressure the club puts on Murphy. He has his hands full and she doesn’t want to add to that burden by telling Murphy about her black mailer. However, when he finds out that someone is trying to hurt her and she didn’t tell him, it devastates him. Heidi soon learns that…
“Sometimes the biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves.”
These two will have to figure out their new roles in the club and with each other.
“Life isn’t always beautiful. It’s not perfect. It’s messy. But when you have the right person with you, it’s a beautiful ride.”
I’ve always enjoyed the Lost King characters because they have such great depth to them. They truly seem to live and breathe. And I really, really loved the banter between the members. There were parts in this book that had me giggling aloud and parts where I was completely tearing up. GAH!
As the Lost Kings series continues we get some questions answered, but in true AJL form….some are still unanswered. And of course new questions arise too. AJL has no problems leaving us hanging! LOL!! I’m eagerly waiting for the next visit with the Lost Kings!!
This has been and continues to be a fantastic series I highly recommend.

***ARC Reader Review***

“Sometimes the biggest lies are the ones we tell ourselves.” And boy were there a lot of white lies in this book. I loved every minute of it.

I have be waiting (not so patiently) for White Lies to drop and Autumn Jones Lake did not disappoint. Autumn is an amazing author and I’m a fan for life.

White Lies is Book 15 in her Lost Kings MC series. Murphy and Heidi’s story has always been bumpy and emotional even as far back as in More Than Miles (LOKI MC Book 6). They have had so much to fight for (and against) that I knew their Lost Kings wedding could never be simple. It was wonderful to see the growth of these characters. Heidi is such a little badass!!!

I also loved that I got to meet some new and old characters. So many new story ideas I can't wait to see who gets their own book next (Rooster…fingers crossed :) ) As always, I recommend you read Autumn’s other books in the Lost Kings MC series to get the full story. It will help with context and understanding of characters. #KingsForever #ForeverKings #LostKingsMC

I’ve been reading this series since it came out, years ago. And 15+ books later I’m still hooked. I don’t know if I’d have the stamina to start a series that was already 15 books in now. I’m definitely glad I found this when I did. Love these characters like family.

Every time a LOKI book is released it feels like a homecoming of sorts. There is nothing I love more than being immersed in this world and peeling back more layers of these beloved characters.

In this series, we get the exploration of relationships after a traditional HEA. Life is messy, ugly and hard, even after you find your person. Hedi and Murphy have come a long way since they were first introduced. They have grown so much as individuals and as a couple, but they still struggle with insecurities and demons from their past. When the truth comes to light these two have to learn to lay down their pride and fight for the relationship they want. Hedi and Murphy each have their messy/ugly side and together they must learn to accept each other, willing to be vulnerable with each other and trust that they will always have each other back. What they continue to learn, it isn't about being right or who is stronger, instead, it's about doing life together and leaning on each other during difficult seasons in their lives.

I will also say that Murphy has always been a character that I've been a bit indifferent too. No real strong feelings either way, but Autumn did what I thought was impossible, she made me fall in love with this character. He truly was heart-melting and finally wormed is way into this heart.

And 15 books into this series and Autumn still keeps it fresh and interesting. She does a phenomenal job of interweaving all of our favorite characters (and some new ones) into each book without feeling trivial or forced. Everything is written has a purpose and a meaning and we see how this world/characters continue to change and evolve.

Be still my heart! Murphy is the sweetest, most caring, loyal, loving, alpha ever. I think he's got all the guys beat with that big heart of his. Murphy's really come into his own. I enjoyed his sarcastic side with his witty comments, comebacks and thoughts. Also, his love for Heidi, Alexa, and LOKI is undeniable and shines bright. Now, more then ever, Murphy is struggling with changes in the club. He is surprised how much faith his brother's have in him to be a leader. Maybe this is due to his younger age, but I think part of that struggle and lack of confidence in his abilities is due to having crap parents growing up.

Heidi is still hurting from the past. She still feels massive guilt over her decisions from the time she got pregnant with Alexa til now. She can't help but second guess all her current decisions after making so many, of what she feels are "mistakes," in the past. She still goes through the woulda, coulda, shoulda scenarios and worries about disappointing everyone she loves. Especially when it comes to Alexa, which is natural and what makes her a good mom. Heidi has personally grown a TON since More Than Miles and she's a real badass in this book. She does not back down from a challenge and she has become the ultimate ol' lady. I didn't expect anything less since she grew up around the club and has had some great mentors the last few years. One thing has never changed though, Heidi is still a gingerholic. 😉

Heidi and Murphy are completely in tune with one another. Her and Murphy have been in love for so long, since they were kids and before they could even act on it, that they can read each others emotions and thoughts. But Heidi is still extremely young and it shows with some of her decisions and thought process. When she omits important information it contributes to already building issues the club and Murphy are dealing with. They are supposed to be getting married and starting their ginger baby making factory, but things come to a head and escalate quickly leaving everyone reeling and emotions high.

Being back with the LOKI crew was phenomenal as always. We also get to meet some new characters, which have sucked me in, wanting their stories too! Can't wait to read them all in the future!  My boo Rock is his typical, sexy, moody self in case you were wondering. 😜 #RockisMYfox #LostKings4Life 💚💙

White Lies is book 15 in the Lost King Series, we finally get Murphy and Heidi’s wedding with all the drama.

Heidi and Murphy are finally going to get their HEA after taking a few detours along the way, when past lies are brought to the surface and emotions are running high will they make it to the alter and begin the rest of their lives.

This is not a series you just pick up half way through and dive in, you need to start back at book 1 and by the time you get to White Lies you are going to be so addicted to these characters that you feel like you’re part of the family.

If you haven’t started the Lost Kings Series I suggest you do because you won’t be disappointed.
