Offers drink recipes that are paired down to only the essentials - both a good and a bad thing sometimes. Descriptions and explanations of drink types and ingredients are thorough and well-written. Definitely a worthy edition to a bartender's library. Or even a hometender's library.

It's a good anthology of drinks while also providing great background knowledge on alcohol, tools in the bar, etc. A must-read for anyone deeply interested in cocktails in general.

Loved Schumann's "Tropical Bar Book," but this one is indistinguishable from umpteen other basic bar manuals out there now.

Helluva drink guide and some interesting info here. Definately worth having if you enjoy your cocktails or want to keep a well stocked bar.
