It should have been simple and straightforward—business, and nothing but business. A quick trip to Colorado to scout out a location for my newest real estate development acquisition. Fly in, drive to the location, talk the owners into selling, sign some papers, and go home.
A business trip like any other, something I’ve done hundreds of times without issue.
This time, however, I was waylaid. First by a runaway horse—and then by an angry, stormy pair of vivid blue eyes, a massive, mountainous set of brawny shoulders, a strong, powerful pair of hands, and a voice like thunder over the horizon.
Will is a man out of another era, a man of stillness and action in equal measure—a man in complete possession of himself and his world in a way I’ve never experienced. And suddenly, somehow, he comes to possess me, my mind, my heart, and and my body, in a way neither of us are ready for, and neither of us know how to resist.
What should have been a simple business deal quickly spirals out of control, becoming a struggle of life and death, a battle of hearts and passion…

Cowboy in Colorado is Jasinda’s second book in her Fifty States of Love Series. I read the book in one night. It was one of those books that just keeps you turning the page. Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was a hate to love where the started to turn to love almost at first sight. One thing I wish would have been done differently is when Brooklyn first gets to Colorado, she visits some cool places before she goes to Auden Town. I wish we would have gotten a little more of that part. I want to know what the Red Rocks look like. I wanted to know more. I loved Auden Town and Brooklyn’s idea for it. If it was a real place, it’s definitely the kind of vacation I’d love to take. Also, who can read a romance without falling in love with the guy. In Cowboy in Colorado, Will was sexy Alpha Male all day. But the character I really fell in love with was Brooklyn and I wish I could be her when I grew up. If you are looking for a quick, fun, sweet read, this book is a great one to pick up.
Cowboy in Colorado is the second book in the 50 States of Love Series, and is a total stand alone novel. Cowboy in Colorado follows the story of Brooklyn and Will. When we first meet up with Brooklyn, she is being groomed to take over her father's company. Her father gives her a promotion and tells her that she needs to turn around their real estate devision. He wants something risky, something fresh, something no one has done before. When Brooklyn meets with her staff to come up with risky and bold ideas, a truly unique idea is born. And that is where Colorado comes into play. Brooklyn sets off to check out this old historical town and may soon find herself totally out of her league....Will is about as stubborn as they come. He doesn't like change and has an arrogance about him that keeps everyone away. So, when city slicker Brooklyn comes into town, he can't wait to make her return home; which is proving easier said than done. While Will could care less what Brooklyn has to say, he can't deny the strange pull he has towards her. The stakes are high and the tension is explosive. If you want to know just how Brooklyn and Will's story plays out, you need to pick up your copy of Cowboy in Colorado today!!
Cowboy in Colorado was a terrific read from beginning to end. I thought the story was a lot of fun and totally entertaining. The characters were a riot and I enjoyed the antics of Will's crazy horses. Cowboy in Colorado totally rocks the enemies to lovers/ opposites attract vibe. From the moment Will & Brooklyn meet up, you can feel the tension just oozing off the two of them. It was totally electric. Will is used to always getting his way and Brooklyn is one to never step down from a challenge. They had such great push and pull. I just couldn't get enough. I found myself just devouring their story because I just had to know how it would turn out....
Cowboy in Colorado gave me everything I was looking for and then some. I loved getting swept up in Will and Brooklyn's story. Will and Brooklyn kept me on my toes and left me breathless in anticiaption. If you're looking for a quick read that is sexy with just the right amount of angst, then look no forward. Pick up your copy of Cowboy in Colorado today. I hope you'll fall in love with Will and Brooklyn just as I have.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "COWBOY IN COLORADO" WOW!!!!! What an amazing funny, interesting, entertaining, heart melting storyline, intriguing, drama filled hot steamy read. Brooklyn wants to take over her real estate business when be retires he sends out on a challenge to get something different she heads to Colorado to scout out a real estate development aquisition. Will is a stubborn alpha male who trains horses and manages the land on their ranch he has a meeting with a woman from the city and he can't wait to send her on her way he's not interested in what she has to say. Brooklyn arrives at the ranch not dressed for ranch life in a suit and heels she meets Will and thinks he's out of another time but they definitely have an attraction to one another. Brooklyn and Will find themselves in a situation it's so hot and steamy it sizzles I absolutely love this couple they both are so strong the push and pull makes it all that more exciting. This story was so well written and the characters are so fantastic together I thoroughly enjoyed their love story it's absolutely a must have book I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series "MARRIED IN MICHIGAN" AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!
Sitting on a horse in a Tom Ford pantsuit with orange Louboutin's on in the middle of nowhere. Going to talk to a rancher. Yeah. Nope.
I get it, Heroine is a city girl. But city girl doesn't have to mean suits and high-heels and Tiffany and whatnot. And who the hell describes their clothing and jewelry with the brand name? Well, rich folk I guess.
Does she work out (she does; because perfect body) in her high-heels? Because she feel sexy in them? Or wear them to bed? Or while swimming in her pool? I guess, because she wears them all the time.
So as I said, couldn't take this seriously. It read like bad comedy.
Brooklyn just has no patience, "I rip at his hair, yanking him upward, and he grunts at the tug of my fingers. “Jesus, woman, calm down,” he mutters." Then agqin Will isn't either, "he yanks his jeans up, buttons the fly—painfully, it looks like— around his erection. “Your place. Now.” I liked this book, I loved Will.
I love this book! It’s such a great story. Brook is a confident woman. She is working hard to take over for her father when he retires. Will is a rancher. He trains horses and manages his family’s land. He can be stubborn. This is just such a beautiful story and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend this book! *Magic Beyond The Covers Book Blog*

A hot, sexy and heart warming romance; this book needs to be a movie!
I’m a huge fan of this author and really enjoyed the first book in the 50 states of love series so I couldn’t wait to dive into this one.
Brooklyn Ballenger was born into a privileged life; she’s an only child and the heir to her father’s multibillion real estate empire. Working her way up through the company, she’s used to dealing with stubborn men and the challenges that come with working in a male dominated workplace so when her father tells her she’s being given her own team and budget and two weeks to present her first project, she’s ready to tackle it head on. She sets out for a ranch in Colorado expecting it to be a simple trip but nothing in her life could have prepared her for the challenges she faced.
Will Auden has been a cowboy all his life and runs his family’s horse ranch in Colorado. He’s stubborn and set in his ways and sees no point in making any changes so when his sister tells him that someone has a business proposition for him, he refuses to hear it. Not expecting it to be mentioned again, he’s shocked when a woman on one of his horses comes crashing into his life and insists he hears her out. Still refusing to listen to her, he gets on with his work and is both shocked and annoyed when she again makes an appearance that has nearly fatal consequences.
With a dangerous storm approaching and being miles from civilisation, Brooklyn and Will are forced to seek shelter in a cabin overnight. As the storm rages above, the heat in the cabin rises and anger turns into an explosive passion like nothing they’ve ever experienced in their lives. Waking up alone the next day, Brooklyn returns to New York and tries to move on with her life but months later, she can’t get him out of her head. Will the best night of her life remain just a memory or will the most stubborn man in America do whatever it takes to win her heart?
I loved this story. Will is the most stubborn and dominant male character I’ve ever read but he has a huge heart hidden under his tough exterior. Brooklyn is a strong, confident woman who knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it but underneath it all she’s sweet and vulnerable and just wants to be loved. I would definitely recommend this book and I think it should be a movie.
Cowboy in Colorado, the second book in Jasinda Wilder’s Fifty States of Love Series, tells Brooklyn Ballenger and Will Auden’s story, and while these two characters are from polar opposite worlds - she’s a confident city slicker and he’s a small town rancher - they’re more alike than they originally think, but it’s also those similarities that make things tense and electric between them, forcing them both to acquire a fairly new perspective when it comes to life and to love.
Brooklyn is quite the head strong and driven business woman, and she’s ready to prove herself to her father and make the real estate development acquisition division of her father’s company profitable, and it’s with that goal in mind that she heads to Auden Town, Colorado and comes face-to-face with an arrogant and closed-off alpha rancher.
Will’s a guy who is absolutely set in his ways; he has no desire to change anything about his ranch and he most certainly doesn’t want some well-dressed, uppity woman to talk to him about a proposition for his land that he has no desire to listen to or agree to, regardless of how attractive he finds her or the fact that there seems to be something sizzling beneath the surface when they’re in the same vicinity.
But Fate and Mother Nature refuse to allow these two to forget about each other, so as much as Brooklyn and Will want to move on from their tense interactions and get on with their lives, they’re brought together, once again, and this time around, things are even more tenuous and also headed in a direction that will either lead them to want to murder each other or to give into the sexual tension and chemistry that’s surrounded them from day one.
Man, are these two characters something else! They can’t get out of their own damn way enough to realize how good they could be together if they both got over themselves and opened their eyes and their hearts. I do have to say that some readers might take issue with Will’s jerkish behavior because it does feel a bit over-the-top at times, but it’s clear that who he is under his arrogant demeanor is someone worth getting to know and that can only occur if he’s given a pass for some of his earliest bad behavior.
I love the idea of this series, and I’m beyond excited for Married in Michigan; it’s my home state and I can’t wait to see what parts of the state Jasinda Wilder writes about in her cross country romance story.
I am so not a cowboy romance reader, but saying that, I love Jasinda Wilder’s version! This was a quick and delightful read! It was sexy AF and just what most cowboy lovers would want and look for. Will is seriously THE alpha in his ranch and he is not interested in meeting with anyone about a business proposition… least of all some fancy woman from a big city. Well, Brooklyn isn’t no quitter. She goes to see Will again… and here is where I fell in love and couldn’t stop reading. They get pushed together and forced to seek shelter overnight. This is where these two become unstoppable!
Wilder’s writing is sexy and fun. They are totally flirty and sensual. I enjoyed Will’s dominant strong ways but I loved Brooklyn. She is the epitome of what woman should strive to be like. She’s strong and fierce. She’s a take charge woman that doesn’t just succumb to being the damsel in distress. However, putting these two together and you’ll see softer and sweeter sides to both of them. Heartwarming story! I’m ecstatic for Married in Michigan!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
I LOVED this story. Jasinda brings two people together that have no business being together.
Brooklyn is a city girl that has worked hard for her father's company and now she has the chance to show her him what she has learned. But first Brooklyn has to come up with a concept and get it passed by Will the owner of a ranch and tiny town.
Will and his family have lived and owned this little town for generations and Will does not like change. So when a city girl shows up to talk to him, he does not want to hear anything from her. Only when Brooklyn follows him out onto the range and puts herself in danger does he finally stop long enough to talk to her.
These two are so afraid of emotions that it almost ruins the future they could have.
Okay so it’s no secret that I absolutely love Jasinda’s books...this one however was NOT at the top of my list. It was a great book don’t get me wrong, and I absolutely loved reading it...it just felt way to instant for me. Only spending 24 hours with a person and saying you love them...I’m sure it can happen but to me seem very unlikely. Which I guess when you look at it, this is a fictional book. I’m just used to really connecting with Jasinda’s characters when I read a book and I just didn’t connect with these ones.
I definitely plan on reading the next books in this series because as I’ve said a million other times...I LOVE reading Jasinda’s books. Regardless if I connect with the characters or not Jasinda’s books never disappoint me and this one is no different and that’s what I love! Even though I felt this wasn’t one of better books...in the end I still liked the book and loved reading it even without feeling connected to the characters.
I didn't expect this story..at all! Lol I was completely unprepared and that made me appreciate the story even more! I expected something light and breezy, and while the story is pretty straightforward, I felt such an emotional response to it. Brooklyn is just doing her job, trying to impress and find innovative concepts, and that's why she is in Colorado..she needs to buy a property and start implementing her ideas..but the owner doesn't want to know anything about it! Will, the owner, is just so alpha, so stubborn and so freaking closed off..what can I say, I love him.. there is just something about him..something unexpected that you'll get when you read the story..it made me weak in the knees.. Another great story in this journey of 50 states of love...I just finished this one but I am certainly ready for more!
Oh this book was interesting. It was a quick read with both characters wanting to be in the alpha role. The female lead was such a strong person who showed weakness when or if her comfort zone ( but then faced it head on like a bada**) and later when in a power compromising power struggle.... Now, our male lead, Will, is stubborn as they come. And man do these two give their best to each other during their power struggles to stay the top dog!

Two alphas personalities finally coming together with a 💥. Through the character develop depth of both Will & Brooklyn Jasinda (and Jack) really jump feet first into their explosive tale. Equal parts sexy, fun, funny, frustrating, and dangerous! I really could see sooo much more from the Auden fold. Hint, hint! 🙃
Loved this book and the fiery characters. Might be hard for some to believe how quickly they fall for each other, but it sure does happen in real life. I loved Brooklyn's strength and independence and understanding she didn't "need" Will - it was more that she knew sheriffs word be better and complete with him in it.
Cowboy In Colorado by Jasinda Wilder is the second book in the 50 States Of Love series. I read this book in one night and thoroughly enjoyed this angsty romance between two very strong- willed alpha personalities fighting against the inevitable outcome....love.
Brooklyn Bellanger has to prove her professional capabilities to her father before she can take over the multi-billion Bellanger Industries. Her first step is to take BRED, the real estate department to the next level with fresh, exciting new projects. She has been given her own team and complete freedom. Finding the perfect project is going to be a challenge. When one of her team members suggests an authentic, rustic themed western town and getaway, Brooklyn is intrigued. Her new business venture takes her to Colorado to buy a town. First she will have to make an offer to the Auden Family Ranch to purchase Auden Town. Next she has to face their stubborn ranch business manager W.H. Auden and propose her deal.
Will Auden has no intentions of dealing with a city-slicker who wants to swoop in and change their lives. The ranch has it's own problems and he is too busy with their horses to make time for her nonsense. It doesn't matter if she is drop dead gorgeous or has a natural ability with horses. It doesn't matter if she is sexy as sin and pushes all his buttons the right way.
When a sudden storm that leaves them stranded in a one room cabin over night things take a different turn. They are making a different kind of deal that leaves business dealings outside in the storm. Once the storm is over Will's pure alpha stubbornness is going be the ruin of the best opportunity he ever had.
Brooklyn isn't a quitter but she knows when to move on. She's moving on from the rustic town idea. She's moving on from Will Auden no matter how much it stings her pride. She knows what she wants and it is not an unyielding man.
I absolutely loved seeing two very strong willed individuals go head to head. I also loved how beautiful it was for both of them when they finally surrendered to their hearts.
I can't wait to see where Jasinda Wilder takes us next in the 50 States of Love but for now I'll be content with a Cowboy In Colorado.
I highly recommend this reading adventure with Cowboy In Colorado by Jasinda Wilder.
***I’m not quite a hundred yards away, but I still recognize Will even at this distance. The way he sits on his horse, the breadth of his shoulders, the easy mastery in every movement—utter, brazen confidence in every action. God, he makes my heart palpitate and my palms sweat and my thighs clench around the saddle.
Oh heck yes! Love me a brooding, sexy, ALPHA male! And I absolutely fell in love with Will!
I haven’t read too many “cowboy” books but this was really good! Not only did I love all the scenery and old time feel about the town and the sexy cowboy, I loved reading about the horses too. Demon is my favorite! Just something about a wild mustang!
The town gave me the feels of “Back to the Future part 3”, that’s what I envisioned when reading this. Lol. I think it would love to visit if it were a real town!
I didn’t like Brooklyn all that much in the beginning, even though she said she had to work for everything she got and that her billionaire Daddy didn’t just give her things, she still seems a little spoiled in the beginning.... wearing three inch Louboutin heels and rents a BMW when going to an old town with nothing but dirt roads. Lol!!
***“Fine.” I arch an eyebrow. “I hate to sound…spoiled, but is it at least clean?” ... When she has to stay the night in the town. See, seems a tad spoiled. Lol! But, she grew on me! And I ended up loving her in the end. She really isn’t a spoiled thing, she just grew up in a difference culture really. She wasn’t used to the dirt and the horses and such. It was funny when she had to ride them though!
I really enjoyed it. If you love cowboy stories, I think you’ll probably love this one!
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
This is the second book in the Fifty States of Love series by Jasinda Wilder but they're both standalone novels.
In this book we have Brooklyn and Will. Two headstrong individuals trying to do the best at what they do, heck with everything else. I had a good chuckle or two at this city girl going to a ranch in CO with a thousand dollar plus pair of heels on walking in the dirt and mud. Not to mention in her tailored suit. HA!
Sometimes you just have to shake your head at some characters knowing there are real people out there that would do the exact same thing! Research is key people!
So Brooklyn has an idea that could benefit the tiny town Will's family helps take care of. It's in the middle of no where. Money is tight. His interest is with his horses nothing else. Poor Brooklyn is put through the ringer in this book without even so much as laying out her potential plan with Will.
Their connection is quick and consummation might be even quicker. They certainly don't waste any time there. The after effects, though, isn't anything either of them expected. I'm not sure Jasinda meant for this book to be somewhat of a comedy but these characters are easy to chuckle over.
Life lessons can be learned in many different ways. These two definitely have a learning curve when it comes to each other. I enjoyed their love story. It's witty and quick. I hope you enjoy it too!
It’s good to have more than one jam but, honestly, a cowboy will get me every time. And Will was that cowboy with his in charge attitude and down to earth saltiness. He was for sure grumpy but he was gorgeous too as his pre-conceived notions about the city girl were tested. Oh and he’s gorgeous. Yeah, there’s always that…
Brook was his even match. She was beautiful, driven and determined to succeed. What I liked was she was also not pretentious. She knew she was a fish out of water, never denied it, but embraced it instead. She knew she was not better, no worse, than anyone else and let her honesty speak for itself. She was not one to bulldoze over people to get her way but she sure was feisty…
On the surface they may have seemed like oil and water but despite being on opposite sides of the equation at the beginning, they soon found common ground as their roller coaster ride played out. An unexpected event put them into close quarters that made them ignore all the fluffy stuff and get right down to the heart of things. And those things? Well, they were steamy, steamy, steamy….
I loved how it played out. There was enough drama to keep it interesting but at the same time it never got over the top. I love real drama because that makes the emotions, the love, much more believable. And Will and Brook’s story felt wonderfully real….
I will say it over and over again @jasindawilder 's books always touch the depths of my soul. Past experiences, current love, memories you name it! This is the second book in the 50 States series and it takes place in Colorado and it's worth every minute! 💛 Here are five reasons you should pick up this great romance: Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 💛 🙌I love that the book starts off with a strong and capable female character and I really like her sense of humor. I love that she gets along with her dad and that he believes in her capabilities. I don't think I see many good father-daughter dynamics in books. 🙌The book reads like the woman is on a mission and I like that it makes me feel like I'm as determined as she is to get things done. 🙌This run-in and quote "he's the most beautiful man I've ever seen and he's pissed" lol 🙌The way Jasinda describes these scenes are just spectacular. I feel like I'm in Colorado galloping through this storm and also totally makes me want to take a chill, cabin trip to Colorado, love it! 🙌That scene in the cabin, phew holding my breath, fire, desire, anger who knew being pissed off could be so sexy😱 P.S I literally screenshot some parts to my SO because they were just too sweet in the best way!
This is the second book in the series and wow. I’ve said this before an I’ll say it again. I don’t know how Jasinda comes up with all these ideas for books. - I was able to read this book in one sitting because I was antsy to know how it was going to end. - This book is about two people that come from completely different walks of life. Brooklyn is born into a privileged life she’s an only child and heir to her fathers company. Her father tells her that she can have her own team and budget she heads off to Colorado. While there she meets Will, Will has always been a country boy and stubborn as they come. He runs his family ranch and Brooklyn comes along he tries to push her away because he doesn’t want to have to hear what she has to say. In doing so he can’t help but feel this connection with her. I loved the push and pull they had because there both very strong leads. - This book was amazing as always in the classic Jasinda way. I absolutely love her work so I definitely recommend you all to check out her books.
Jasinda Wilder has done it again! Cowboy In Colorado is another unputdownable read.
Whenever I see a new release from Jasinda I get so excited. It is no different with this release. Will and Brooklyn are two absolutely incredible characters. They are so incredibly different in so many ways, and yet, they have so many similarities between them, that will leave readers breathless with the back and forth action. You could almost go as far as to say that they are complete opposites from one another. If you know me, you know that there is nothing I love more than a good opposites attract romance, and this is definitely that. I was highly entertained with the crazy antics taking place within this novel. There are so many memorable moments, many of which involve Will's horses.
Cowboy in Colorado was a terrific read, that I cannot recommend highly enough. It will keep you reading right from the very first page, all the way up to the last. Grab it for yourself today!
Brooklyn and Will are both alphas. Both love and need control and as they cross paths, their connection builds despite it being insta-love. There's an unexplainable pull between them, but even as a reader you feel it within the pages.
NOW.. what I love the most of this series, is they are standalones. Each book is a new state, new characters, and you absolutely fall in love with everyone. I also love that Ms. Wilder gives a great detailing of the scene, you feel as if you are there in that state with the characters.
You can't go wrong when reading a Wilder novel. I highly recommend you take this journey of finding love within the fifty states.
Wow...I feel like this book release snuck up on me!! I of course devoured it when I was finally able to get to WiFi and download it!!
I’m a sucker for a major alpha male that doesn’t let much rattle him...until the right girl comes around and knocks him on his a$$!! Make that male a cowboy and the girl a city girl and it’s the icing on the cake! Will and Brooklyn had explosive chemistry that was jumping out of the words as I read this book. I didn’t want it to end!!! I read the epilogue and immediately wished it wasn’t over yet!! Kudos to you Jasinda (and Jack!)...you knocked another one out of this park!!
Loved this story of a hard working, dedicated cowboy and a hard working, dedicated city gal meeting and then they get zapped by the love bug. Simple, right?... Wrong! This story was so good and a nice change of pace and a unique storyline. The side characters were all so much fun and animated too, I can easily see side stories for almost all of them. A really great book with a really fun story.
I really liked the premise for this story. However, the author just seemed to skip the entire middle of the story. There were too many passages with pointless details. The love story was complete b.s. You don’t fall in love with someone after one day. There was zero development of the two main characters. This one had a lot of potential, but just fizzled out.
Could not put this book down! I was drawn in quick and captivated by Will and Brooklyn’s story. I always enjoy characters who are each so strong in their own right coming together as it was meant to be. Who doesn’t dream of being stranded in a cabin with a sexy cowboy! Really great book!
Way to fake and unrealistic. If you just want a quick read with one good sex scene and a totally great but not likely to ever happen in real life book than read this. I’ve read much better from this author
