The rating is based on my memory of how much I enjoyed reading Little Red Hen: A Faith Tale as a kid. It was my first experience with the Red Hen and her story. This version of Little Red Hen is faith-based so it features scripture and religious morals (I was raised in a Christian household), but it has terrific illustrations, and I enjoyed having it read to me and later reading it myself.
I saved all of my Charles Capps Ministries, Inc. faith-based folk tales until around age 23, then I gave them away. Now I kinda wish I had kept them, if for no other reason than nostalgia. Here's a link to an online bookstore where you can buy each one (scroll down to Related Items for the others in the series) and here's another link to buy the lot of em on Capps' site.
(3☆ Got something out of, but wouldn’t read again) I had this book as a kid and reread it as an adult. It is a cute book, but I wish they would have created their own storyline instead of changing a classic.
