This book is a little bit off-putting in the beginning because of all th ename dropping and the overly "can you believe how much we are alike" sister stuff, but underneath all that, the book is very solid, and has some really nice ideas about how to make healthful foods in a variety of different ways--like lentils, zucchini, lots of vegetables, and it does not include alot of "the sky is the limit" high ticket food items.

Notes:
tons of veggie ideas I like
based on food they eat in southern california
no dairy-based recipes at all or creamy sauces (clean eating)
too many weird ingredients -- haloumi cheese, achiote paste, and lots of unusual asian items that my grocery store doesn't have

Lame. I only liked one recipe, and it was the one I saw in a magazine.
