Raymond Loewy, Erica Schoenberger editor. A dozen chapters by a dozen authors about the designer. A French immigrant in the early 1900s, poor, made his way into design of lots of things. Built an international business. Put his name on everything his company designed. Married. One kid. Lived well. “Simplification” was his watchword, along with Streamlining. Did locomotives and tea cups. The Avanti. Studebaker and Gestetner were long-term clients. November 14, 2025
