GrimboldDelight and WallyDelicious time!

We wanted it. They gave it to us.
Anything less than 5* would be not only an insult to this Series, but the authors as well.
My only regret? Why wasn’t it longer!!!
Loved it.

Adorable!! More dragons!!

What an adorable novella ❤❤ featuring an abused Topaz omega, Wally, and the head to the Amethyst clan, Grimbold!!

Harry and Ev make several appearances, as does Steve the iguana.

Super fun read! Mpreg and knotting 😉! Best enjoyed in series order.

Triggers: past abuse.

I am a fan of the Forbidden Desires Series
so I was super excited to see a spin-off. In this case, I felt like more would be better and believe me, I was not wrong.

I LOVED THIS! I loved this even more than the original series. I couldn't put this down and I just felt so much while reading it! The story was at first heartbreaking and then sugary sweet and then on fire hot.

Joy is the perfect word to describe the entire read. One big bunch of joy.

I had no idea I even cared about Grimbold! I do now

Well that was just ridiculously sweet!

Seeing the Amethyst clan leader and big bad daddy Drake Grimbold find his Wally was just gorgeous. I loved how his character changed over the three previous books as he came to realise he'd not been active enough in helping dragonkind.

There was a good slow burn up to their partnership starting and it worked well.

Sooooo happy to get more books and stories with the amethyst dragons!

In this story, we have Grimbold, the father of the amethyst dragons who were all MCs in the Forbidden Desires trilogy. When he meets Wally, a timid and abused dragonet/disgrace (as they are wrongfully called) something about the young man speaks out to Grim - that he is meant to care for him and show Wally his true worth.

I just adored this story. Of course, I loved the cameos from Harry, Ev, and Steve. I love seeing the babies

WONDERFUL!!! Amazing!
I was delighted to see a new, warmer side to Grim as a father, grandfather and caretaker of Swallow. But the real star of this book was Swallow, a Topaz omega, that was a half-crazed, scarred thing that had endured a lifetime of torture and fear at the hands of dragons. In the care of Grimbold Drake not only did he learn to trust again, but he learned to stand up for himself and fight for his happiness! It was just such a heartfelt journey for the both of them and I was so p

This series is so good.

All reviews are voluntary and my honest opinion.

You're definitely going to want to read the original series to understand what's going on here. But the good news is the entire series is absolutely amazing, including this novella.

Grim has finally seen the error of his ways, when he's introduced to severely abused Walter of the Topez Clan. Grim has to reign in his claiming instincts and put Wally's needs first. He finds himself very much wan

Swallow (A Forbidden Desires Spin-off, #1) by Piper Scott

Swallow is a sweet treat to all of us who enjoyed reading/listening to Forbidden Desires 3 book series.

We get to hear from the all the beloved characters from that series and get an update on what's going on with their lives.

Besides being a delicious and sexy treat ; Swallow is the first book, of many I hope , from their Forbidden Desires Spin -Off .

It tells us the story of Grimbold , patriarch of the Amethyst Dragons and one of the oldest living dragons an

This book softened Grimbold. I thought he was a grumpy old dragon but his kindness toward Walter changed my view.

My,how the mighty have fallen!
Head of the dragon council Grimbold Drake falls hard from his high horse of rightfulness when he realizes how badly the Pedigree omegas were really treated throughout the centuries. Heck...he,himself,has been one of those full of prejudice and misconceptions ,but now he's sorry for all the years of disinterest in the suffering of such a big portion of the dragon population.

And maybe his guilty conscience is part of the reason why the decides to have omega Wally(Swa

It's weird that I started reading the omegaverse very skeptically and although it took me a while to get into it, I am loving most of the stories I have read. The Forbidden Desires series is one of my favorites because there's humor galore and although there is some angst, it works well with the story. The mpreg aspect of the omegaverse was very strange to me when I first started reading it but now I'm like "they're laying eggs!? Sure, bring it on!"

Grimbold was so much sweeter here than he was i

This was so good, I loved it! I’ve been a huge fan of the Forbidden Desires series, so when I saw there was a spinoff book I knew it was a must read for me. Piper and Virginia made me fall in love with dragons and eggs, meggs and I don’t know where I would be without this subgenre in my reading world! I loved Wally and Grimbold’s story, and Wally was just the sweetest. I really wanted to cuddle him and pat his head to set him at ease. Just the same, I loved the patience that Grimbold showed Wall ...more

Swallow is a spin off of Virginia Kelly and Piper Scott’s excellent Forbidden Desires series. While it’s not officially part of the trilogy, in many ways this story feels like a direct connection to those books, both in plot and characters. I think to best enjoy this book, you really need to be familiar with the original trilogy. I loved the first three books, so I was thrilled to see that the authors were continuing that world with some spin-off stories. I was part

Wow. This was the perfect spin off from Clutch, Mate, and Bond. In Swallow Grimbold (the father of Alistair, Everard, and Geoffrey) takes a chance with an abused and homeless omega. The omega, Swallow or Wally as he prefers, is terrified of doing something wrong and being punished. This book is a fantastic story that fits in seamlessly with the rest of the Forbidden Desires books. I love that in this short we get to see more of the fabulous characters from the series and get another look into th ...more

Yay dragons!

What can I say? I love me some dragon omega-verse stories! We get Grimbold’s story, the head of the Drake Amethyst clan, and father of our favorite dragons. And Grim and Walter were just perfection together! Absolutely adored this! Can’t wait for Hugo’s story, he so deserves a happily ever after!
Plus, you get to see Geoff and Harry, Everard and Darwin!
Plus, a little of Perry, hope all is well with him!

Also, come on! Julius and Darwin! I need a story!

Not my cuppa I'm afraid. I liked the first two books of the forbidden desires series, but was very disappointed with the last two. I found Walter/Wally's recovery after the meeting with Vadim and the kids a bit too fast for my liking and I couldn't understand Grimbold's attachment to Wally, who had zero personality till that point.

Occasionally two wonderful authors come together to create a magical world- this is that world!
Swallow is a stunning addition to these authors catalogue with achingly beautiful scenes with vivid characters and a good dose of humour. Don't miss this!

I have so thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series and this spin off!! Each have had their own vibe and the characters are just perfectly over the top. So much snark and spice coupled with sweetness and fierce protectiveness. I just loved this book to pieces. I wasn't ready for the depth of Grimbold but he was just perfect for Wally. They balanced each other so well and let me tell you, Papa Drake is no slouch when it comes to heat! This was a great extension of the stories in this series ...more

Delightful, captivating and touching story about unexpected love and choosing a forever. I really loved the MC's in this story. Grimbold is an imposing and powerful man and yet we get to see his compassion, love and desire come to life in this amazing story. Wally(Swallow) becomes Walter and we see him start to live, understand freedom and learn to love. The years of abuse and punishment this young man endured was trully horrible and it was a true give to see his strength as he learns to claim a ...more

* I was gifted an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *

As much as I like stories about shifters and dragon-shifters I have mixed feelings about this one.
I have not read "Forbidden Desires" series, but since everything is well described here, it wasn't a problem to understand clan dynamics.
I absolutely loved blurb (for this story and for all books in the main series) and the idea of an old dragon taking care and mating young, troubled omega with terrible past. I really liked t

OK, the name of this book may sound like it's really obscene, but it isn't. It does, however, start out as a very nasty thing.

I've been waiting for Grimbold's book since the very first book in this series. I thought that he was going to be all stiff and proper and just emotionless, but he's really the complete opposite, especially when his grandwhelps are around.

Swallow/Walt is a Disgrace who has been terribly tormented, but now he's been freed from the people who were evil to him, but he thin

This was mostly okay for me. I wasn’t that enthralled, but it was still a nice, light read and I liked being back in this verse. One thing I appreciate is that every book in the series has consistently challenged itself and brought something new. Swallow wasn’t an exception and for that, I liked the twist at the end!

I think I would’ve enjoyed this more if it was longer. At the beginning of the story, Wally was traumatized by the mistreatment he endured and I think he needed more time before Grim

Grimbold is head of the Amethyst clan, and is slowly seeing his sons settled. Then one of his sons brings an omega to him, and Grimbold decides to provide a home until the omega can be brought in from the wild a little.
Wally, who has the ridiculous/horrible name of Swallow, is christened Walter by Grimbold. Wally is scared of dragons, especially his sire, and has been taught that Amethysts are the worst of the lot. But he thinks that if he is really good, and behaves exactly like a low-d

Loved it even more than I expected!

I knew I’d enjoy this book, the series is wonderful-funny, sexy, well done, and unique. I admit I wasn’t sure if this would strike all the same chords for me because I couldn’t quite picture Grimbold as an enjoyable MC. but, I was totally wrong! I ended up loving Grimbold. So supportive and caring, especially once he realized the extent of Wally’s experiences and have him tools and assurances to feel safe. Wally was lovable and vulnerable and I enjoyed him a l

Who knew Grimbold had it in him to be so caring and sweet?! I loved seeing him scoop up sweet and mistreated Walter and give him all the love he needed! I also loved watching Walter grow in confidence and realize that he was wonderful just as he was! His story was so sweet and it really tugged my heartstrings and made me smile happily when the couple got their HEA!
This series has become a beloved favorite of mine! I've been swept up in this fantastic world and immersed in it's wonderful oddness

4.75* of Dragon greatness

The first in a spin off series following the events in the brilliant Forbidden Desires series written by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly.

We are back with the dragons, yay, and Geoffrey, Everard and Harry make appearances as Grimbold comes face to face with the neglect and abuse his lack of attention has caused and has regret, shame and guilt for that in the form of the young dragonet Wally, who has had a traumatic beginning, I’m not giving anymore away.

I loved the first

Such A Wonderful Addition To The Series!

I had been curious whether I'd like it when I saw the announcement that Grimold, the stern father dragon, was going to get his story. He ends up making the perfect match for Swallow, or Wally, a petrified and abused Pedigree omega who needs someone to give him hope and show him how to trust. With time and a host of wonderful cameos from earlier books, Wally is able to find the strength in himself to reach out for the future he longs for. There are some ne

I was lucky enough to get an ARC but this book goes live July 30!

Here we have leader of the Amethyst dragons, father Grimbold as MC 1. How does he handle a difficult omega, Swallow, when he is hand delivered to his door? With a lot of patience, of course.

I have LOVED this whole series but I will say this story was a lot less humor and a heap more serious. It isn't a bad thing just very different. I also like how this book painted our head dragon in a new light. I feel like Grim got a bad

Ok, so maybe no actual eggs in this story, but Darwin was an egg ...
Anyway, this is such an excellent addition to the Drake stories. Grimbold meets his mate, Swallow. Swallow has been so badly abused by his clan that he can't believe that Grimbold only wants to help keep him safe.
For a short story it has everything - a bit of heartache, humour, love, family and even a bit of suspense. As a bonus for Ev and Harry fans, they are featured well in the story.
Loved it!

Piper Scott debuted as a trio of authors looking to write together for fun. Their collaboration led to three novella-length books (Love Me, Save Me, and Keep Me,) before life sent them in different directions, leaving just one author with an omegaverse plot bunny that wouldn’t leave her alone. Obey was born several months later… but the plot bunny never left—it multiplied.

Left to her own devices,
