I’ve experienced the ways love can change a poor man into a rich one, a sinner to a saint, and make people beg for redemption.

Yet nothing I’d ever done was as profound as marrying the woman I love.

Every mission I took was a risk worth taking knowing I'd go home to her loving arms.

What I didn’t know was in my quest to right all the wrongs of the world, I was destroying the

2020 has been the year of new-to-me authors. I've made it a conscious effort to finally check out some of the many authors I've never read or, as in the case of Tracey Jerald, pick up books from authors I'd previously been unfamiliar with solely because the blurb sounded so good! That's what happened with Ripple Effect, a story about a married couple whose lies of omission and inability to listen cause violent ripples to tear through their relationship. I knew this storyline sounded
Oh hellll fucking no. There are scenes with the hero picking up other chicks in front of the heroine. Get the fuck outta here with that trash

“At least now that I’m old enough to drink, I can drown the agony of the rumors of how he fucks like the end of the world is coming before he rolls out of whatever bed he’s in.”

““He’s not looking down at the woman he’ll likely take home later, I think with my heart pounding. He’s watching me”

Here’s a quote from the pathetic excuse for a hero

Here is my unpopular opinion: this book made me angry. No, it made me furious. If the author was going for stirring up emotions - mission accomplished. If she was intent on creating drama for drama's sake - bingo. But in my opinion that shit gets old fast.

Setting aside the fact that the author knows how to create incredibly interesting characters, and can weave words together like nobody's business, at least 50% of this book is based on a lack of communication. (Not just a

I have so much to talk about when it comes to this book, but I’m not sure if I will be able to do it justice in my review. I did a lot of thinking on how can I write my review for this one. I’ve never feel like I fail in writing a review for any books before, but this book is so different that I don’t know how to begin and what else to say/write. Well, I’m trying my best and hopefully my review make a lot of sense!

This is the most intense and heartbreaking story of a broken marriage and second

”I wasn’t meant to know what love was until I met Libby Akin. Now that I do, I realize it’s a circle, because she’s the beginning and the end of it for me.”
Calhoun comes from a broken past. He has never experienced a love like he’s found with his wife Elizabeth. Whiles he is out on missions, helping make right all the wrongs in the world, his marriage is failing. The ripple effect of his miscommunication and lies ends up changing everyone’s lives and hurting the only person he cares about- his

Wow. This story really grabs you immediately. I appreciated the main characters and the fact that the secondary characters played a pivotal role in the progression of the story. The H and h fell in love...twice. The first time, it was almost dysfunctional on both parts. He withheld vital information from the h in a failing attempt to protect her...which she saw as a betrayal due to his lies. Her love blinded her to aggressively seeking additional information from her husband (yup, head in the ...more

Holy hell. I knew that this author was gifted but sweet lord this was extraordinary. I wasn't prepared for it which is surprising because as I just said this author is amazing. There is a level of depth in the smallest of details that always draws me in. Add-in, the specific cadence, and stylistic choices that she uses to create a sentence that has a poetic feel to it are mind-boggling.

This is a story about how lies, even if for the right reasons, can cause a ripple effect and

Tracey Jerald, how I love thee!! Ripple Effect is Tracey’s latest Standalone. I was unsure how to feel about a world without the Amaryllis series but in her second release since Amaryllis, Tracey has proved, once again, that there is life outside of that world. Fans of Amaryllis will be happy to know that she’s pulled in a few cameo visits from past characters!! Cal and Libby are the epitome of soul mates and love conquering all. Ripple Effect consumed me and kept me up until the wee hours. I ...more

I have no words that could explain the journey that this book took me on. Libby and Cal tell their story bit by bit taking the reader on a roller coaster of emotional memories. Love, lies, joy, pain and healing all play a role in this book that everyone must read for themselves.

Tracey Jerald has written her best book yet!

This is a romance story that will drag you in from the off, and as the story of Cal and Libby's relationship unfolds, you will be drawn in by the clever writing style, to the point that you won't be able to put it down.

This heartfelt, emotional story, tells a tale of how one lie can have a catastrophic ripple effect on everyone involved. The story goes back and forth between present day and the past, which very cleverly adds to the

I don't know if I am quite ready to put my thoughts down for the book I just, experienced. This book is an experience that everyone must read. There isn't a thing about it I would want to be different. I'm just in awe. Every thought, feeling and word poured out on the pages is so raw and real, delivered fluidly and well spoken. In this story, we experience the life and relationship of Elizabeth (Libby) and Calhoun(Cal). How they meet, what they endure and how they find their HEA. ...more

When I saw that this book went from past to present I was hoping that I wasn't going to get lost and end up not finishing this book. Boy was I totally wrong. It was done in such a way that left me breathless and took me on a journey that I soon wouldn't forget.

How do I find the words, I mean really how do I find the words after reading The End on this amazing book by Tracey Jerald.

Soul crushing.

I dont know how to come back from this.

Tracey you have blown me away. You have torn my heart out, crushed it to smithereens and wrecked my soul. I am left with an emotional hangover. Ripple effect is bloody brilliant.

You really need to get your hands on this amazing, amazing book. Cal and Libby... you will ache for them, you

OMG talk about all the feels from this book!! But honestly having read all of this author’s books now, I am not surprised. In Ripple Effect we have the amazing characters, a storyline that completely draws you in, emotions going all over the place and ultimately the beautiful love story. But even with all this, Cal and Libby’s story was so different. I am usually not a fan of the flashbacks or back in forth in time, but with this one, it brought so much to their story. I won’t go much into their ...more

So I really need to sit down and think for a bit so I can write a review that is worthy of this book. Ripple Effect is a unique story that gives you all of the feels, including a healthy dose of angst. The characters, Libby and Cal, are both strong and have depth. I am always a little leery of stories that go back and forth between the past and the present because I am worried that I might get lost. But, Tracey Jerald did this flawlessly. It flowed very easily and I was able to follow it without ...more

I just wish my words could give this book the proper justification and accolades. The words were so intense. Each page I read the words pulled me in and embedded in my heart & soul . Calhoun “Cal” Sullivan and Elizabeth “Libby” (Akin) Sullivan’s journey through life will pull at your heartstrings. My love for these characters goes beyond their story. I have read many books written by author Tracey Gerald and have been feel in love with every book. This particular book not only had my ...more

I really want to be clear on this review without giving spoilers away, but normally I always think the fabulous Tracey Jerald's stories are perfect but Ripple Effect, not so much. It's not because of her writing per se, in fact it's her writing that allowed for 4 stars since it certainly kept me reading, though I wasn't fond of the hero (he's such a lacking douchebag "man") & the heroine, kind of a doormat. Cal has been lying to the woman he supposedly loves, Libby, and I believe that's a ...more

There are those authors you know are going to take you on a journey far away from your life. They do it so well that you forget everything else and just bask in the book and it's characters. You feel every prick to the heart. Every lie is a personal affront. Every pain is felt in your core. This author fits into that category. While this time she does give us some of the details of what goes on behind close doors she doesn't over do it. The book sends us back and forth in time as we discover the ...more

My goodness, I am flabbergasted and so overwhelmed with such emotion, that I know I can not put into words how profound Ripple Effect is. Ripple Effect is unlike ANY thing I have ever read before, and the journey that this author took me on is one I am seriously trying to fathom. I knew before I started Ripple Effect that this book was going to wreck me, and my assumptions were correct. The way that Tracey Jerald wrote Cal and Libby's story from the back and fourth, and past and present was done ...more

This is the first book I've read from this author and I'm looking forward to reading more. The book bounces between Cal and Libby's POVs, both past and present, which was perfect for the emotional weight carried throughout. Cal and Libby's struggles over the course of their relationship are completely relatable and this author did an excellent job of portraying the love, hurt, miscommunication, and forgiveness in their journey. While most readers will not relate to what ultimately lead to their ...more

Ripple Effect by Tracey Jerald is one of these books that grips you from chapter one and makes you lose sleep rather than stop reading. This new to me author wrote an outstanding book and certainly it won't be my last read by her.
But back to Ripple Effects. Meet Libby and Cal. It's their story. A story of love, a story of heartbreak, a story of marriage masterfully crafted , beautifully thought out and beautifully told. Both characters are so colorful in the best sense of

This was a different type of story. Being my first by this author I wasn’t sure what to expect but I did like it. Told from past and present the author was able to weave a tale that had me wondering how the characters got from the past to the present. I loved Libby. She was strong even when she showed her weaknesses. I liked the secondary characters and who they were to our main leads. The overall story pulled me in right from the start and o found my self thinking about it when I had to deal ...more

This was my first book from Tracey, but rest assured, it will NOT be my last. An amazing pageturner, Tracey takes us on an adventure into the lives of Cal and Libby. She does an amazing job of weaving past and present events that will suck you right into the story, and never put your kindle down to ensure you get to every chapter, and feel like your heart breaks and mends itself back together through her words.

What Cal and Libby endure is something so heart-wrenching, and yet so powerfully

Tracey Jerald has a way of writing stories that grip your heart and suck you in and makes you a better person for reading them. Cal and Libby have the kind of love that everyone yearns for but they manage to stumble through their relationship. Their story is heart wrenching as incidents unfold that reinforce that we often times focus on the wrong thing and we just need to be grateful for what we have. Cal and Libby are characters you can relate to and you will find yourself thoroughly invested ...more

Firstly don't start this book later in the day as it isn't a short book and you will not put it down until the end. Be ready to laugh, cry, get angry, frustrated, devastated, elated , a mess and just all over the shows with your emotions. Cal and Libby are made for each other but boy Cal doesn't make it easy, I get where he is coming from but hello, when you have multiple people telling you to do a specific something and you don't it's gonna come back and bite you! Cal and Libby so many feels

Libby and Cal meet while she’s in college. Libby is a beautiful, smart, and strong woman. Cal is a very serious man had some issues growing up. A few go by and they meet up sparks fly and they married. Somewhere along the line there is miscommunication. Can they find there way back to each other. Great characters and storyline highly recommended. Amazing Book.

Tracey Jerald has not only knocked this one out of the park...she knocked it out of the universe! Ripple Effect held me hostage from the first page to the very last. Cal and Libby’s story is not for the faint of heart. If you can read through your tears during those heart wrenching, soul shattering will find an incredibly beautiful, intoxicatingly amazing love story. I would give this unlimited if possible. It’s just that incredible

This book was such an emotional, intense read. Cal and Libby's story was so heartfelt. This journey Tracey brings you on is a roller coaster ride of emotions. You go through all the feels. There is emotional pain, lies, sadness, happiness, joy and lots of love. It's such a realistic journey that pulls at your heartstrings. Once again, Tracey pulls you in and doesn't let you go from the first page till the last. I can't wait to see what she brings us next.
