The watercolor illustrations were lovely, though I wish they were bigger on the page. The story of the duck not finding his home due to humans destroying it is sad and does indeed show the greediness of our species. I think children prefer rhyming poetry and that is much more fun to read to young ones as well, so this poem is not a big winner for me.

Illustrations are AWESOME, but the prose only so-so. I did like the message of the book.

The illustrations were absolutely gorgeous but I found the language to be a bit too complex and wordy especially for a children’s book.
