Good Dog, Rover
What a "tail" of puppy love. Andy and Amy just can't today, they're going to adopt a dog. But what kind should they choose? He wants a big one; she wants it small. She wants a white dog; he wants a black. Will they find a pet that can make everyone happy--Mom and Dad too? Maybe Rover will be just right.

Beginning level, read aloud or with an adult.
This book shows a boy who wants to make noise, so he plays his horn for his family. It is too loud for everyone, even the cat, so he takes it outside to play. Outside, the world likes his horn, and other children join him like a marching band. When he gets home, his family is happy to see him.
Being considerate of others.

This is a good beginning reader book for merging reader children. With help I think this would help boost self esteem with young readers. Many words are repetitive throughout the book. The book also teaches about adopting a new pet and what it takes to take care of one.

In a juvenile humor sort of way, this is a hilarious read aloud. I used it for Letter T. See if you can read it aloud without cracking up.

It is a cute story about a boy who goes to the zoo with his sister. This Level 2 book was on the easier side for my Kindergarten reader.

In an immature way, our family gets such a kick out of this book.
