She thought she left the cult behind. He thought he’d always protect her. They were oh so wrong.

Twenty-year-old Lacey Simon jumped from a building on fire to escape the cult her stepdad was leading, so college should be oh so easy. Except Lacey can’t seem to move on. Not only does she receive threatening letters, she’s also failing her classes. Fun times. Only Hunter, t

How do you get over years of manipulation and coercion? Years of being told how to live? In truth I cannot even imagine a life where you are not given freedom. Not just mentally but physically. This story touches on a factor that alot of people do not talk that much about. Although here they make the cult sound gruesome, I myself have seen cults that are of not that type. A cult does not always pertain that of a evil nature.

Full disclosure: I am not a young adult, only young at heart. But I love any book that has a gripping, well-paced plot. Bonus if the author somehow gets me to care about the characters, and takes me along for a ride through their arches of development. “Trust Me, Trust Me Not” fulfilled both of those criteria. From the beginning, I was captured by just plain good action, complexity (someone just got out of a cult? Someone important might be dead? Someone else died mysteriously? There was a fire? ...more

Trust Me, Trust Me Not is the a standalone book by Nowodazkij that has connections and ties to her two previous Gavert City novels. This third story is just as thrilling to read as the first two. The story of Lacey and Hunter is one of a relationship where trust is tentative because of the issues that both of these characters carry with them. Lacey has survived a hellish life in a cult and is fighting to find a new normal as a typical college student. Hunter is a volunteer firefighter who connec ...more

I was pretty excited to jump in Gavert City's universe and in Elodie Nowodaszkij's writing again.

Trust Me, Trust Me not is the third book in the series. Each book has its own story, but reading this one first will spoil the other books, so be warned!

Trust Me, Trust me not is a fine mix of romance and thriller.
I love Elodie Nowodaszkij's writing, since I'm always able, while reading her books, to visualize the characters and the scenes.
And I always connect with her

In love with Gavert City

I am in awe of Elodie's way of creating this creepy, yet touching, story of two amazing but broken characters. As someone whom has enjoyed both the previous books in this series, I was very eager to continue. In spite of this book being stand-alone, it connects the precious stories and characters. It is absolutely amazing and so hard to put down once started. Grab it and read it. You won't ve disappointed.

A truly entertaining, quick read. I loved both the characters so much, and the storyline was original and thought provoking. Never seen the ending coming.
