A fight takes over the beings in Mystery, and Ava is pulled from it by a glow that has landed on one of the black wolves. She knows what it means and by the looks of things so does he.

I like it. It wasn't one of my favorites. I prefer these books to be longer.

I really love the way Klaus brings the story to life.
I wish the story had been longer. Just glad to see Ava get her long awaited fated mate.

Too short, need to expand
Like the story, but would have like to find out how the interaction between Ava and her bother advanced. Where did they live? How did Ava present Ryker to the Tribe?

I have enjoyed most of the books in this series, and I would have enjoyed this one too if I didn’t feel cheated. I‘m a pensioner, so every penny I have is desperately accounted for, my only vice is reading.
This book ended at 79% a rushed finish nothing concluded, nothing sorted just banging in the bathroom and The End. If I’m going to pay full price for a book I expect a full book not 79% and previews of past and upcoming books. I now regret buying the whole series and while I would never return a book I won’t be buying any more of this authors work.

A bear shifter finds out her fated mate is a wolf shifter.
This book immediately throws us into the action, which I love, but after the first initial scene it slows way down. Since this was a shifter romance I was okay with waiting to see how things were going to play out. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough emotional development between the two characters for me. It felt like the characters were just shoved together because they were fated mates. I wish there would have been more interaction between the two main characters.
Then ending also felt abrupt. They got together and the book ends. I know this is a part of a series, but it seems like nothing really happened in the book other than they decided they should be together.
I still enjoyed reading it.

Bearly a Chance, book four in the Soulmate Shifters in Mystery, Alaska series follows the story of Ava Di’Branth, bear shifter and Owen’s sister from the previous book, and her mate, wolf shifter Ryder. When Ava finds her mate during the middle of the battle to save Tara, she can’t believe her eyes, but when he flees from the fight, Ava has no choice but to follow him. Of course everyone knows that wolves don’t mate outside of their pack, but will Tara be able to make Ryder see that they belong together? Or will Ryder push her away to protect them both?

Bearly A Chance
I'm hooked. I've been trapped my wife getting me to read "Odd Thomas" by Dean Knights some 20 odd years ago. I have read several authors and like many but, since I picked up this "soulmate" series this is the first time read Krystal Shannan books.
Great story line, great characters, absolutely wonderful page turners. I've finished the first 4 in a week and when I'm done writing this I'm headed for the next book. I can't wait to see where this saga is headed? Brilliant writing, thank you Shannan.

It's 2 damn short!! When a book is less than 100 pgs it should only cost like 99 cents NOT 3.00 OR MORE!! that's a damn rip off!! The book was pretty good but it could have been better with more pgs. It wasn't his fault that he's a wolf and his alpha was a asshole only looking for revenge. But the fates wants 2 change things since they r in a new place. They both need 2 b rt 2gether whether others like it or not.

When her brother's mate was kidnapped, she sought help. She was in the thick of the fight to get Tara back, when date showed her mate. He was a freaking wolf!! Her being a bear, it confused her, but fate knew better. He ran away from her?? The chase was on!

The writer makes you feel that each story she tells is the best of the series. The narrator makes every breath of confusion, danger, acceptance, passion and love come to life. A beautiful story of love knows no bounds, to hell with the consequences. You need to hear this story of unwanted feelings, becoming what fate has demanded.

This is a short read but it still delivers a satisfying reading experience. Ava and Ryder's story is filled with emotional turmoil, tension, drama, angst, action and danger. This couple's romance really has you feeling for their situation and the struggle they face. The narration was well done and I found the narrator's voice very pleasing. A enjoyable addition to a wonderful series.

This was a good story that was written as a transition between two sets of “people” in the Mystery Alaska world. It was a good story and a full romance, but it seemed a little incomplete - I can’t really describe it. I’ll definitely keep reading the series, though.

A fast shifter romance story. This is Ava and Ryder’s story. Can a bear have a wolf for her mate? Would a wolf even accept it? And this is just the first few pages of the story. Nothing is ever easy. And these survivors from another world will face so much hardship. Finding your mate should be a wonderful thing. But what if it isn’t?

Ava and Rider are from 2 different tribes and are different animals. They have to brave a blizzard and Ava has to carry Rider down the mountain when he falls after saving her. He doesn't want a mate but he can't resist the fate call.

Ava and Ryder's story is short but full of tension and emotion. In saving Ryder's life Ava has to make some very hard decisions. Bear's and wolves don't mate on Raylea. This story leaves a lot of questions about how Ava and Ryder will fit in with the tribe and what will happen when her brother hears about her mate. I look forward to the next book in this series.

This was a fun quick read. If you have read the previous book in the series you will recognize Ava and Ryder. We get to see what happens when they disappeared from the fight. The story was interesting and entertaining and held my attention from beginning to end. It will be interesting to see where this story goes next.

Sort of an epilogue to the last book.
Yes, we find out what happened to Ava and Ryder after the big fight but it's not their whole story. If fact we're kind of left in the middle of a scene. This seems to be a theme with these HFN stories. This has even more questions than the others. Not happy, but I will keep reading. BTW it says 82 pgs but it's really only 60+ pgs.

So this is a follow up to a turning point in the lives of these 2 or so packs. How much of the traditions from their old world will stay the same, and what will change? After all that Ava's brother has gone through, is she now in the middle of 2 packs? This book is definitely a cliffhanger if you are following the series.

I am a fan of Krystal Shannan and this book lives up to my expectations. This is a short story and the characters are wonderful. This one is well written. I encourage everyone to get this one and the rest of this series. This is a wonderful short story and I look forward to the next book.

I feel like I just started this story and it finished so quickly. I'm intrigued as to what the showdown will be like when Ava brings home her new mate. Ryder will have to fight more of his lack members I think, to protect his mate.
