What the fuck am I doing reviewing a children's book based on a short-lived TV series mostly remembered for a kick ass theme song and toys that were cool but broke way too easily? I found it, bought it, and figured why not? It took all of five minutes.
The story is over-stuffed, confusing, and gloriously silly. The high rating is for the great art work. Also it is interesting to see this stage of America's project in diversity. The M.A.SK. crew are racially diverse, but not in terms of sex (they were selling toys to boys) and the leader is white as Wonder Bread, blonde-haired, and blue-eyed.
Anyway, sing along if you know the words!
