Divorce and Remarriage, Light from the Word is primarily written for pastors and counselors to assist in providing advice to those Christians considering divorce. It looks at divorce and remarriage from the point of view of Judaism, the Old and New Testament scriptures and gives an exegesis on those scriptures concerning this issue. It is a fresh look at an old issue that has plagued the Christian community from the days of the first church that was established on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2. Bishop Young is frank and forthright in his approach and has provided excellent documentation to support his conclusions. He concludes about many parishioners: "The fact that they did not follow our initial advice is not cause for us to imprison them with a 'life sentence' in an intolerable situation, or even possibly a 'death sentence'."
